DivX subtitles in Software ·
Maybe give VLC Media Player a shot. I don't really have the patience to wade through this entire thread, but I dealt with those exact same subtitle headaches until I finally switched over to VLC Media Player.

Just use Google, for heaven's sake.
Type in "error 1606" or whatever specific code is staring you in the face and just... Google it.
If you actually know English, you'll find an answer in seconds. If not, honestly, you might as well toss AutoCAD straight into the trash. It’s a bit of a tragedy, really—when you can't navigate the English-speaking web, you're basically left stranded without any decent resources to lean on.
The switchblade is arguably the superior tool, though I’m reasonably certain you’ll need more than just good aim to bypass the legal hurdles regarding cold weapon possession in this country.

Hannah James76 said:Like I mentioned earlier, you just need to boot from that CD using ERD Commander 2005 and enter the password.

I have to ask, what exactly do you mean by "booting" or how does that even work?

I was running Windows XP Professional when I accidentally set a password that I can't seem to recall. It’s that initial login prompt that pops up right when you boot the machine; does anyone know how one might actually bypass or crack a password like that?

Does anyone have a handle on how to actually make the Patch Tool work in CS3? My current process involves circling an area and then dragging the selection over to a clean spot, but once I let go, nothing changes—I just end up losing the original pixels I was trying to fix rather than repairing them.

Selection Tools

There’s quite a variety of tools available when you need to grab a specific area. For instance:
A) Rectangular marquee, elliptical marquee, single row marquee, and single column marquee
B) Standard lasso, polygonal lasso, and the magnetic lasso
C) Magic Wand and the improved Magic Wand tool (which you'll find exclusively in CS3)

Deselecting

If you need to clear your selection, there are two straightforward ways to handle it.
A) Simply click your mouse anywhere outside the active selection
B) Use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+D

Rectangles and Ellipses

Creating a rectangle or an ellipse is pretty intuitive. If you're aiming for a perfect square or a flawless circle, just hold down the Shift key until you release the mouse button.

Fine, Photoshop CS3.

You can easily tweak your image resolution by navigating to Image > Image Size. It’s a pretty straightforward way to adjust the dimensions of your work. If you leave the settings as they are, changing the width will automatically scale the height to match—and vice versa—to keep everything in line. However, if you decide to uncheck Constrain Proportions, or one of those other two options, you'll have much more freedom to stretch things around.
