I see everyone sharing this and acting like it’s some revelation, yet all I see is my buddy looking like an absolute idiot, and apparently, a whole lot of people agree 🤷 even though he hasn't said anything remotely intelligent...
Whenever the holiday rush hits, the traffic is just relentless. You could have the most expansive interstate system in the country, but even then, it can't quite swallow that many travelers at once. When I think about how Americans hit the road during the summer, with massive gridlock stretching from the Northeast down through every major corridor, 9.3 miles it honestly becomes a complete disaster...
In the end, it’s just the usual amount of unnecessary drama. If you have your car, the AC is blasting, and you're just sitting there waiting, it really isn't much of an issue 🙄
There was a time when this place felt like a genuine sanctuary of peace and quiet, but you’ve managed to kill the spirit of the game, drive away people like Amanda Evans2 and ambertinker41, and if this continues, I'll be next... leaving nothing behind but thugs and outlaws
Walter Grant5 said:I didn't mention GOT, nor was I thinking about it. People have been jumping out of their skins over those little trivia tidbits for ages, but most of them don't even grasp the underlying theme. They can't tell the difference between a movie made for popcorn fun and one that's actual philosophical material. They just get worked up because other people exist and they can't wrap their heads around why anyone would think differently...
I’m well aware you had that debate, much like how I find the The Walking Dead comic far superior to the series for the exact same reasons. There is simply more depth, a tighter plot, and characters that are actually given room to breathe...
Robbie, I suspect you might be setting the bar a bit too high for every single motion picture... not every film can be a groundbreaking revolution that leaves you breathless and redefined by its brilliance.
Even FC Barcelona doesn't beat Real Madrid 5-0 every year 😬
the book actually is superior, purely because it has more space to provide what people call "depth"...
then again, not every movie needs to be profound or carry heavy symbolism; some exist solely for entertainment. in that regard, I'd put the first two Transformers movies in that category of big blockbusters. two hours of giant robots... 😁 the rest were mediocre at best to me... 😁
as long as you don't regret the time spent watching it, the film has fulfilled its purpose...
Adam King6 said:What really worries me isn't the politics; it's the mental state of users like Delko, who actually goes out and buys a case of Ožujski. I guess they couldn't find any Karlovački or other similar products that we can honestly call beer.
Favorite is the one beer I refuse to touch, while everything else brewed domestically feels more or less identical to me, and besides, a single pack isn't really my style, so I’d probably just opt for something imported...😳
The People's Edit once I move 6.2 miles away from Washington, D.C. and lose reception on Antenna... it's obvious. Once I head down to the coast in California, it's nothing but local radio...
Dropped by to visit my folks during this break, specifically out in Plodine... Ran into an old acquaintance from town, someone my own age; he had a kid in a stroller, while I was left holding a pack of Ožujski beer. Such 🐔
Because of this Government, the US was recently rubbing shoulders with Venezuela, Syria, and Argentina... Honestly, you have to be quite skilled to pull that off, given how well you have to understand the volatility in those specific places. They managed to pop economic bubbles elsewhere too, so the country hasn't been stuck in such a mess for quite this long before...
