We were in 🤣 Savannah a couple of weekends ago 🤔 lovely little town, but honestly, you won't find anyone under fifty there... and I probably said too much 🤣
We headed out to the national park, but there was far too much water and half the trails were blocked off 😢 we couldn't even get close to the main falls
We decided to go off the beaten path, trekking through some of the most remote wilderness areas currently existing in America, just to see what it was all about. Honestly, it was quite an experience... 😢 It’s enough to make you lose your mind once you leave the major hubs like New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago, yet all I hear are the city folks complaining more than ever ☕
Elizabeth Mendoza said:I was only in fifth grade when that movie first hit theaters. Man, I feel old as hell now 🤣. I honestly pictured Diesel as this young guy, but the dude is pushing fifty .
Issati, I’m certainly feeling ancient myself lately... 🤣
Jessica Johnson2 said:Look, just check it first, alright? Don't go bullshitting him like some clueless rookie... seriously. From what I gather, it’s just as bad as staring straight at the sun, except you can't even look away before it blinds you because you don't realize it's happening. How long you can actually stare at it before things go south? Honestly, who knows... I'm no doctor... 🤣
That tracks, though when you're dealing with the actual sun, you physically can't help but squint, so I'm more curious about the timeframe in which ocular damage would actually manifest... 😁 Do we need to consult a doctor, Michelle Palmer6? Or perhaps a physicist, though I'm certainly not an expert on those matters either...😢
Jessica Johnson2 said:Because those UV rays will straight up fry your retinas! The reason you usually have to squint when looking at the sun is just your body trying to protect itself. The sun isn't actually any dimmer, you're just seeing a smaller sliver of that intense glare... and it'll wreck your eyes fast 🙂
I don't quite follow. For instance, today the sunlight was fairly weak, so I was looking toward the Sun around 4 PM with my sunglasses on without any issues. Does that mean the Sun is somehow tricking me into thinking it's weaker so I can look at it while it secretly destroys my retinas? How long does it take to cause damage—if it's instantaneous, I won't linger too long, assuming I'd notice immediately if I went blind? Or will the damage happen without me even realizing it, and when would I actually notice that my vision is gone 😬?
I'm not joking around here; I'm asking seriously because I was genuinely curious. Purely theoretical, of course...
Could someone please enlighten me on this solar eclipse business, specifically why one isn't supposed to look directly at it when... 🤣 naturally, the sunlight loses its usual blinding intensity during the event 😕 🤣
The yields have been underwhelming this year; perhaps there’s some hope in the upcoming shipments, but I remain skeptical... Now that the weather is finally turning, we shall see how things unfold.
I wouldn't go out of my way to grab an iPhone, since I have absolutely no need for a new phone... but if the opportunity presents itself to get one for free, there's really no reason not to take advantage of 😬 ...
Went out for a run at Central Park today; it was a bit warmer than usual, but nothing changed... just wind blowing everywhere and absolutely zero women in sight ☕
On another note, I'm torn between getting the gold or the silver iPhone. Silver is the classic choice, but that gold... man, when you see it in person 🙏 it hits you like LeBron James ☕ hitting a dunk...
I can't speak for everyone else, but I find these new license plates absolutely hideous.
I have no idea why they felt the need to reinvent the wheel; we all know who does it best—the Swedes. Just copy their design, include the state emblems, and be done with it... instead of this tacky mess that looks like it belongs on a cheap truck in rural Alabama.
I’m fairly certain you can just use them as a substitute for anything else at Home Depot while they're still in your possession... much like how people rely on those specific German brands over there.
