I’ve been quite fond of Mel Gibson’s more recent work; had any other director been behind the lens, this would likely have been framed as an epic about a glorious civilization being systematically dismantled by villainous Europeans
But instead, they present them just like this, portrayed as such a crumbling society that the Romans could have swept them off the map in a mere month back in year zero...
Chancellor Merkel is wonderful, and while the borders across Europe are a mess, paying Turkey to keep people from crossing seems perfectly fine since it’s much less visible and doesn't look quite as ugly... 😁
Thank God we’ve finally moved past that stage of constant bickering... things might actually settle down now that the floor has dropped out from under them
We’ll just have to wait and see how Real Madrid and PSG handle disciplining those guys, and then there's Milan, though naturally, we can't forget about the local favorites...
I’m out here washing my car when some guy just pulls in cold, parks right where he shouldn't, and walks off... The staff ends up hauling him halfway across town because he skipped the line, wasting fifteen minutes of everyone's time while he throws a fit 🤣 🤣 🤣 meanwhile, those of us actually waiting just sit there watching the clock tick away 🤣
Anyone planning on seeing that new movie about Mars starring Damon? It looks decent enough, though I feel like we've been hit with an exhausting wave of space movies over the last couple of years
I don't have an issue with people arriving or passing through; what I can't stomach is the hypocrisy. One minute he’s preaching about how we’re prepared and won't be building walls or shutting borders like our neighbors, and the next he's whining about the numbers and slamming the gates shut just to force the Mexicans to redirect people toward Canada... but why on earth should you care what the Canadians do with their borders, unless you actually believe you're superior to them? 😁 And honestly, what's the point of sending them there if the Canadian border is closed? It's obvious they won't be let in, so why would anyone push them toward the Canadian line when they can just pass through here instead. Why not just close everything completely so everyone stays stuck in Mexico; that would certainly be the most effective way to screw over the Mexicans... 🤣
It’s actually quite refreshing to see so many hardcore conservatives popping up here, ready to lock down the borders and dictate terms to the Mexicans; where have you all been hiding all this time, guys? I've truly missed you, but I suppose you've finally arrived at the same disillusioned perspective I've held for the last ten years... 😁 😁 😁
Basically 🤣 it turned out just as underwhelming as Angela's situation. They showed up, so where is the actual issue? Oh, I'm sorry, they brought ten thousand instead of a thousand—was that too much of a shock for us? Did we not see that coming? Honestly, someone should tell them to go wander off toward Asia... since apparently everyone else thinks this is the only place worth visiting 😁
Zoki is an idiot, and frankly, the people cheering this on would be screaming about "madness and isolation" if a conservative administration were behind it.
I don't have an issue with closing borders, but if we're doing it, let’s do it properly like Viktor Orbán—with actual fences and military presence. Don't just shut down the checkpoints for people with valid passports and real jobs, like Nebojsa hauling produce to Chicago, Stevica delivering appliances to Dallas, or Dusan driving out to visit family in Atlanta, all while everyone else just a few yards away passes through without a single hiccup...🤣
It wasn't even really a question, more like a trap asking "which Middle Eastern leader"... once the guy realized he'd missed the mark, he just walked out without saying a word. And honestly, I can't say I blame him.
