How old are they?
Why even bother... if you've got a smartphone, you've already got a compass and a backup plan right in your pocket. ☕
okay, I haven't checked out the profile yet 🙂
after that, it’s just physiological 😬

it's Saturday anyway, so there's nobody even around to write this down 🤷

and btw, are you some kind of technician or surgeon at an ENT Specialist or something?
Betty Edwards22 said:I’m just trying to make sure you get why one works and the other doesn't—that mucosal swelling is gonna hang around way longer than you can actually use those drops. So then what? Seriously, feel free to ask the pharmacist too. Nasal sprays have a limit! 5 days max. That's the part everyone misses.

Look, I know about the 5-day rule for the drops; they literally told me that and wrote it down... 🙂
I'll just see how my nose feels starting today. If the saline isn't cutting it, then I'll grab the stuff you're recommending. 😉
Betty Edwards22 said:It's not about drops—those might help you breathe, but they don't fix the actual problem. You need to heal the lining first before the swelling goes down. An intranasal corticosteroid spray is the only thing that really does that: think Rhinocort, Nasonex, or Nasonex.

So, should I actually go out and buy that stuff right now?🤷
It’s been five days since they pulled my packing out... the doctor checked everything inside today and said it all looks fine.🤷

Do you think anything could still be going wrong in there?

I honestly don't get why they'd prescribe that specific combo at the hospital then... just saline and Operil... I mean, those guys aren't total amateurs, right?🤷
The exam area is right over there... in the first building, just above the ER, you'll find the surgical ENT 🙂unit
.
Hey man (ENT)...every single morning this girl comes by, clears everything out, and takes the trash out. Plus, she stops by one afternoon to grab the garbage again and maybe drop off some paperwork if needed 🙂

The girl even went as far as picking up slippers off the floor while she was mopping...
You probably just built up some immunity to all that swelling, congestion, and puffiness after your first surgery😬

I’m really hoping someone else chimes in with a similar story, and that the tip of your nosesettles down—especially if it looks even bigger right now than it did before🤷
🙂
They told me all the swelling in my nose should settle down after about a month or maybe six weeks, and that you can't really judge the final look during that window... apparently, I won't see the true, lifelong results until the 6-month mark post-op. Honestly, my surgery wasn't even purely cosmetic, though there was some minor touch-up work involved 🤷
I'm just dying to know what it'll actually look like once this cast comes off 😍
rowdyfox12 said:Seriously, grab some flip-flops for the shower. You definitely don't want to be going barefoot in there. 😉

Thanks for the tip, just seeing this now... though, I gotta admit, both the room and the bathroom were spotless. They clearly cleaned everything daily and kept the whole place super tidy. 🙂
Wait, how come they didn't write everything down on your discharge papers?
Everything is listed on mine—what they actually did, who treated me, when, plus all my follow-up therapy and checkups.

I don't get it, how did they not give you that in writing?
Betty Edwards22 said:I mean, shouldn't the surgeon be the one telling you all this?
Post-op care is a huge deal.

For any patients we discharge, we always recommend rinsing heavily with saline three times a day, using Garasone/Maxitrol drops for five days, and then switching to an intranasal corticosteroid spray for a shorter period just to help the mucosa settle back down.

But like I said—that’s really up to the surgeon to handle.

Exactly! Honestly, I doubt they didn't give her some written instructions... at my place, it's just saline plus nose drops three times a day... though you can honestly use the saline even more often than that.
thanks 😉
I've got a question, not sure if this is the right spot 😁

Besides pajamas and the toiletries listed on that paper for the hospital, do I actually need to bring things like towels or a hair dryer? Or does the hospital provide stuff like that in the bathroom? Thanks! 🙂

Is there anything more predictable than the way we cycle through these digital spaces? We drift from one topic to another, looking for some semblance of substance, only to find ourselves circling the same tired arguments. It’s almost rhythmic at this point, isn't it? Like watching a pendulum swing in an empty room—lots of movement, but ultimately staying exactly where it started. I sometimes wonder if we actually seek out new perspectives, or if we just prefer the comfort of our own echoes. Perhaps that's just the nature of things. kaže:
Where can I actually find some maple syrup around here? Does anyone know if places like Walmart or Target usually carry it, or am I going to have to hunt through a specialty grocer to find the good stuff? 😁

If memory serves me right, Target carries it. 🤔

Take a look at Chemaco's website in Vicksburg—if they have one, give it a scan. I’ve heard some other spots mentioned too, like Perlica? Honestly, I can't remember if that was on Zvonimirova or Frankopans? But I wouldn't count on finding everything you're hunting for there. Chemaco might be worth a shot, though they don't exactly strike me as the budget option. Maybe try digging around on Google a bit more. You could check out those old Dream Workshop forums, assuming they haven't gone offline yet. If they're still up, there should be plenty of intel there; that’s where all the people into that specific kind of handiwork used to congregate. 😉

Walmart carries both those thin plastic ones and the thicker wooden variety; I can't say for certain if they have any heavy-duty plastic options in stock, though. If you’re looking for more variety, you know how it goes—sometimes when you're passing through that main plaza area near the old courthouse, there are always a couple of street vendors just hanging out selling hangers. You might get a better look there. Otherwise, I'd suggest checking out that shop on the north side of Wall Street—you pass the plaza, hang a right, then cut left. It’s tucked away past that upscale boutique. I think it’s called something like "Agri-Supply" or some similar hardware name.
That shop’s got a bit of everything—starts off with some basic tools at the front, then moves into all sorts of household supplies once you hit the aisles and the basement. It's one of those places where you go in for a single screwdriver and somehow walk out with half a garage full of hardware. Makes you wonder why we always feel the need to stock up on things we won't use for another three years, doesn't it?

Maybe try Offertissimi? It could work. They use a massive amount of plastic over there.
The names on the Town Square could just as easily have been anything else. I’ve noticed the wooden ones around, though I haven't spotted any plastic versions—not that it means they don't exist, it just means my memory isn't exactly what it used to be. Or perhaps I simply wasn't looking. Does anyone actually pay attention to these small details anymore? 😁

Thanks! I actually just found what I needed over on Frankopanska, right across from Diesel... it was another little hobby shop. 😁
Hey everyone, where can I pick up glitter glue, loose glitter, sequins, decorative ribbons, and stuff like that in the States? Looking for somewhere that won't break the bank and has everything in one spot. Thanks! 🙂
