Hey, does anyone know where I can track down some back issues of Cosmopolitan in the city? If anyone has a lead, let me know. 🙂 Thanks in advance.

It’s hard to get a perfectly clear look since the photo was taken right before the jump, but if you ask me, focus on the legs and arms. They need work. 🙂

Check this one out; it gives a much better idea of how the legs actually look:

Since I can't commit to a set schedule right now because of my college courses, I’m just hitting the gym whenever I can swing it—maybe two or three times a week. Is this stuff actually a good way to kick things off? It's my first time trying it.

I'm looking for some whey protein just to use as a post-workout meal replacement. I was thinking about picking this one up:
Is it any good? I don't really know my way around this stuff. They all sound exactly the same to me. 😁
The main thing for me is finding a decent flavor, because I've got a pretty sensitive palate. 😢

Also, what kind of glucose goes into this? Is that the stuff Democrats buy? 😬 How much do I actually need...

P.S. I realize buying the bulk size is cheaper in the long run, but I need to test the waters first. If the taste sucks, I don't want to waste $40...

I'm wondering the exact same thing. Let's see what people say.🙂

Not really :/

I’ve honestly never had an issue with it, Donna Johnson16. :S For instance, I skipped the gym yesterday, and I didn't feel nauseous after breakfast this morning, nor did I feel sick after dinner last night. :S

Thanks for the input. I've got one more question on how to tackle this. What if I just swap my post-workout meal for a protein shake and call it a day? Or am I just spinning my wheels since it’s still protein? 🤷

Every time I hit the gym and follow it up with high-protein food, I end up feeling nauseous, weak, and like I’m about to throw up. Yesterday, after a pretty light session at the local Gold's Gym, I ate some low-fat cottage cheese and went to bed. I spent three hours just tossing and turning because my stomach felt heavy and unsettled—like I was on the verge of vomiting every single second. I decided to skip the post-workout meal, but then this morning, just fifteen minutes after breakfast, the same thing happened: weakness, heaviness, nausea, and that constant urge to gag. This never used to happen before I started training regularly. Where am I going wrong? Is it because of the workouts? It feels pointless like this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Chicken has been my go-to since I started following this diet. And today? Loaded up on some wild mushrooms and eggs. It's an absolute protein bomb. 🙂

I'm following along... keeping it around 40 to 50 grams max. Usually, once I'm back from my workout, I just whip up some egg whites and throw together a quick meal with tuna or low-fat cottage cheese throughout the day. But honestly, I can't live on that forever. I know my limits. Still hunting for some decent recipes that don't feel like a chore.

Alright, I'm getting started.

Sam Roberts said:It all comes down to how much you're getting from your actual meals. Aim for about 1.5 grams of protein per kilo of body weight.

I don't track anything. I don't cook, and I pretty much have to eat whatever is put in front of me—which is usually healthy enough—so I have no clue how much protein I'm actually hitting on a daily basis. That’s why I’m thinking about using this as a supplement, just in case I fall short on my protein intake for a day or two.

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice here.
So, I’m out running for about half an hour every single day. I haven't started any actual strength training yet, but that's the plan. My goal is to get toned—specifically looking for lean, defined legs and abs. I want to swap out fat for muscle, but nothing crazy. I'm talking about a fit physique, not becoming a bodybuilder. Given that I'm not trying to pack on massive amounts of muscle mass, do I actually need protein shakes? Or am I fine just getting my protein from regular meals?

To start things off, here’s a photo of me from a month ago,

As for the end goal, this is what I'm aiming for. My main focus is building up the legs.
