Look, if SST Aikido and Uechi Ryu are actually "internal" styles, then one of these two guys better step up and answer me. Especially Peter Myers29, since he’s basically living on this forum anyway. 😁
Internal arts... yeah, right. More like chi-huggers, aiki fruit loops, and Tai Chi ballet dancers.
I've still got my very first belt—the white one. Stopped wearing it years ago, and now it’s looking a bit green and brown from all that grass grappling... plus it smells pretty funky. All that old sweat and dirt just won't wash out anymore. 😁
Peter Myers29, you're kidding me. You should've mentioned that in Ki-Aikido, a tight belt actually helps compress the Hara, sharpens your focus, and directs your Ki 😁
my bad, I guess I spend way too much time hanging out with blondes. didn't catch that you were actually worried about having enough time—I just thought the drive was too far for you 😁

Yeah, he'd ditch being a ninja just to grind some Wing Chun instead 😁 honestly, I think placidbison20 is way too attached to his ninjutsu
There's also the risk he starts training regularly.
I was the same way—instead of hitting the books, I was at the gym six days a week. Spending more time lifting than actually studying... hmm. Then my girlfriend finally gave me a reality check.
It builds character, keeps you fit, and gives you the ability to actually handle things when the world goes sideways and you start seeing stars because someone's got you in a chokehold.

...you gotta burn off that extra energy somehow...
THANKS!
It's the internet. You aren't gonna find "useful" info here.
😁
There's a local youth gymnastics club over by 7th Avenue—Mon, Wed, Fri from 7 to 9 PM.
Then there's one at the military academy—every day after 7 PM if I remember right.
Not sure if they're still running things over in Manhattan.
No phone numbers to be found—just show up and get to work. Then, once you're totally frustrated because you can't do a single thing and you're completely wiped out after two minutes, you'll just quit and start studying for finals. 😁
nipper1700 said:The students are around 23—is that too old? They just want some cardio and maybe some basic self-defense... honestly, we shouldn't ask for much if they're paying $30-$40 out of their own pockets per session
Taylor Swift.
😁
Real combat skills are way too intense, too boring, and take forever to actually learn.
