Raymond Anderson4 said:We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out on race day—but honestly, based on everything I've read over the last three days, I'm getting the vibe that everyone's going for a two-stop strategy.
If that faster setup actually works, then it’d be just like when Fernando Alonso's four stops in Barcelona ended up being quicker than doing three.

I'm feeling the exact same way—trying to pull off a two-set tire strategy this year feels like a total pipe dream.

He even admitted at the press conference today that he’s still struggling to find the rhythm with the car. Once everything clicks, Lewis is gonna eat Rosberg for breakfast. It'll all fall into place soon enough.

So what happened to that whole argument about how Hamilton is the "real" driver who doesn't need special settings and can just drive basically anything faster than anyone else?

Isn't that the whole point though—that rain is where you actually see who the real drivers are? It basically levels the playing field and kills the car advantage—straight up.😍
Plus, we’ve got Monaco on the schedule... just another street circuit.😁

So how on earth did Vettel grab pole with a whole second lead? 🍿
Shouldn't the Maestro be sitting there with at least a three-second cushion over second place?😬🤣

I honestly don't get why anyone wouldn't be stoked about rain at the Monaco Grand Prix—it just adds to the chaos.
With what they've got going on right now—I mean, seriously—even Williams Racing wouldn't stand a chance at grabbing pole.

we'll know once the first practice sessions wrap up
last year was just one stop—this time maybe two--who knows

if those Mercedes cars grab pole, we’re looking at one hell of a procession—unless 😁Romain Grosjean
somehow manages to snag third.

Look at where Fernando Alonso actually is compared to Sebastian Vettel and then try telling me how someone who's several feet behind you can "squeeze" you.🙄

Nico Rosberg is the one closing the gap on Sebastian Vettel, who initially pulled to the right and then swerved left once he realized there was no room...
here's a clip from a different angle...

Unfortunately, we don't have the full start from an aerial view, but you can clearly see Fernando Alonso is nowhere near them...

if you can't see here that Rosberg is blocking Sebastian Vettel, rather than Sebastian Vettel being blocked by Fernando Alonso...

then I'm done. No amount of high-end eyewear is going to help you, let alone me trying to explain it.🤣

You're the only one here being biased
I'm telling you again—just go watch it back
stormybadger8 said:So who’s actually shoving or blocking Fernando Alonso before the first turn???
The only one out there aggressively pushing or closing doors is Nico Rosberg against Sebastian Vettel, but that has absolutely nothing to do with Fernando Alonso.🤷

Pretty interesting stuff—really catches the eye.
As soon as Alonso gets going, he shuts Vettel down instantly.
Take another look—you won't see it until you really look.
Give it a shot in slow motion.
stormybadger8 said:Whose pushing? What are you even talking about?😕
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPZHtQdKkBw

Where on earth do you see anyone pushing or squeezing Fernando Alonso before that first turn?
Seriously, are we watching the same race or what?🤷

Are you blind?
redheron12 said:What's the actual truth here? It's that Nico Hulkenberg hasn't won a title in nearly a decade—and despite his stints with top-tier teams since then, nothing has come his way. That seems to be the only reality worth discussing, right?

The fact that you can't hold a conversation without getting defensive says everything about you—and having an "idol," lol, an actual idol—well, that speaks for itself.

Who's insulting you? Honestly, this constant glorification of Fernando Alonso is almost as exhausting as listening to Jason Campbell70... it’s like I should hand you an award for being the loudest Nico Hulkenberg fan out there. You should be proud of that, not offended.

As for how to debate... I don't really care... how am I supposed to have a rational discussion in a thread that's 110% fueled by pure fandom?

If you're so desperate for an idol, you could have at least picked someone relevant...
Ron Dennis🤣

Ron is a legend.🙂

Let me stop you right there—Ron is a total egoist.
Ross Brawn is the real deal.
stormybadger8 said:Look at the numbers since Sebastian Vettel entered Formula 1:
Sebastian Vettel has 3
Lewis Hamilton has 1
Jenson Button has 1
Kimi Raikkonen has 1
☕

Besides that, what about freaking Fernando Alonso in 2011? 😕
And who claims Alonso was the only one keeping pace with Vettel in 2010, or even 2012... let alone 2011? 🤦
Go watch an actual race instead of just talking shit about the Ferrari car.🙄

Are you for real?
You're looking at Kimi Raikkonen's title from back when he was driving—wait, remind me... oh yeah, Toro Rosso
Remind me what he was driving during Lewis Hamilton's era—man, no, also Toro Rosso
Remind me about 2009? Button absolutely crushed the competition and proved he wasn't someone to be dismissed
Vettel keeps getting brought up because he always seems to end up in the fastest car or just gets incredibly lucky.
I honestly haven't seen an F1 driver with this much luck—and just as much lack of skill—when it comes to actually passing people on the track...
What Alonso pulled off in Bahrain was the real deal—it showed what a true F1 driver can do when they're fighting against a massive handicap.
Samuel Ruiz4 said:It’s starting to feel like some kind of vanity project, just two different philosophies crashing into each other... on one side you've got the Vettel fanatics and on the other it's all about Alonso, and suddenly it's like no other drivers even exist on the grid.
The reality is that Alonso can squeeze a ton of performance out of a subpar car, just like he did last season. And yeah, even if I think Vettel being a three-time champ gives him the edge despite having the better car over the last three years, man... it gets exhausting reading the same old arguments race after race.

Get used to it—looks like you're new around here😁

Just pick a side, switch your brain off, ignore certain people, and you'll have a great time😁

TBH — here’s the write-up you wanted
Jason Campbell70 said:No, he wasn't.

That was just a rhetorical question for our resident expert looking for someone to blame.
Thomas Long7 said:He was running with an open DRS in a zone where it’s strictly forbidden... it doesn't matter if he left it open on purpose or if some faulty sensor or mechanical glitch triggered it...
It's against the rules, period—and that requires a penalty...

Think about it: if a car has a speed limiter failure in the pits, they get hit with a penalty immediately—regardless of whether it was an accidental error...

Rules are rules...

Wait, didn't Schumacher get penalized for the exact same thing last year?
use your head...
maestro 🙏
Forget Ferrari, they're a joke
Is it just me, or does Fernando Alonso always seem to have his DRS wide open?

I'm currently face-deep in some killer BBQ.

A legendary lunch before another legendary performance.

Andiamo Ferrari, let's go Fernando!

more BBQ 🙂>

andiamo

me and some beans with sausages 😁
McLaren ends up taking each other out—Vettel blows a tire, and suddenly Alonso's grabbing a podium 😁
