Don't hold your breath—those cars were way faster back then than what we're seeing today.

It’ll be really interesting to see if the FIA actually stays consistent with the rules.🤣

1. Fernando Alonso was practicing starts behind the line and past that concrete wall which is strictly forbidden and something drivers were told was totally off-limits during the briefing.

2. Felipe Massa crossed the track line on a red light, which is obviously a no-go.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the stewards at Indianapolis right now.🤣
Handing out penalties to both Ferrari drivers after the First Practice Session for such literal, incredibly stupid team blunders—especially in front of thousands of fans—is just way too much.🤣

Who even are these race officials anyway? 🤷

If I remember correctly, Fernando was under blue flags.

So, what's the deal—why is Massa lagging so far behind Alonso? 😕

Not sure if they were testing something specific or just running into issues.
Basically, Massa's falling behind because I don't think he managed even three clean laps in a row—they were constantly tinkering with the setup and dealing with chemistry issues.

And honestly, the idiots are to blame for sending Felipe Massa out at the end of the session—he went past red and nearly clipped Fernando Alonso, who was coming back onto the track right in front of him (luckily, his exit window hadn't closed yet, but he had to wait because his blue lights came on).

Felipe Massa and Ferrari are just complete idiots

William Bennett53 said:Since we're discussing this particular image, those wooden armchairs positioned behind the girl holding the flag strike me as quite peculiar. I suppose she’s slightly obstructing the view, but even so, you can tell they are rustic pieces made from solid wood—the kind of furniture often crafted in East Asia. Honestly, who would ever think to place something like that on a sleek, modern yacht? And much less likely to sit in such chairs while watching Formula 1 at Indianapolis... It is a strange composition; I am not entirely sure why darkmarlin16 chose this specific one. 🤷

You really think wealthy people have actual taste?
Bummer—looks like Fernando is falling even further behind Vettel
Caught one of the better qualifying sessions on a pretty glitchy live timing feed
What was Rosberg even doing sitting in 16th for basically the whole Second Qualifying Session?
who got cut?
Tyler Bennett5 said:If Ferrari fails to make it into the Third Qualifying Session, then we'll know they've basically hired some kamikaze driver
who’s going to take them out at the very first turn just to get it over with.

Last time, a kamikaze driver did exactly that to them -.-
Finally, a decent thread opening

Hoping for an awesome run from Kimi Räikkönen and a solid performance from Ferrari

Hoping for a front row start—maybe P1 or P2.

man, you high or something?
Peter Carter6 said:I've been following you guys and it's clear you really know your stuff when it comes to Formula 1. Personally, I've just been watching for about 30 years without ever trying to get too deep into analyzing the races, the drivers, or—heaven forbid—the rules. It took me a while to realize this whole circus is a much bigger business than us mere mortals could ever imagine, so I don't bother stressing over it.
But hey, tell me, can anyone actually figure out why they didn't call Kimi into the pits during that last SC?
Are they still paying him based on how many points he scores?
If that's the case, there's your answer right there.
And look at those savings for Lotus.

They'd probably make more money if they actually chased constructor points and titles...
Personally, I think it was just a boneheaded call—kind of like that situation with Fernando Alonso and his broken wing.

Brian Campbell36 said:As for me, I am forced to acknowledge Ferrari for delivering some of their best qualifying performances to date, right at the very moment the championship begins to fracture.🙏

I found myself unable to sleep from the sheer anticipation of finally witnessing Ferrari sitting on the front row.

While a touch of sarcasm is certainly healthy, am I not reaching a point where I am seriously contemplating walking away from Ferrari forever to support other teams?

While everyone else is putting in the grueling work, the Italians seem content to lounge by beaches and pools alongside their boss, while the rest of the field breaks a sweat.

Is it any wonder we find ourselves in this position? Perhaps in the future, we should simply be satisfied if Ferrari manages to place a single car within the top eight to ten spots on the grid.☕

you've got McLaren 🤣🤣🤣
In Q2, Alonso was nearly half a second ahead of Felipe Massa—so I'm pretty sure he squeezed everything out of that car
What on earth have Lotus and Ferrari been doing for the last three weeks?!
Elizabeth Mendoza said:Massa was really wrestling with his car this morning.

Massa and Silverstone are just a match made in hell—honestly, I can't even remember him doing anything remotely decent at Silverstone...
