What a joke of a game, Romania vs. Germany..
🤮🤮

Just when I actually thought we were going to hit the woodwork against the Germans this time, they go and pull a stunt like that in the final attack..
We hit the frame at least three times against them! We were right there!

The aftermath of that? Honestly, it’s not even worth mentioning. Just pathetic.
I guess all that talk about Germany's "historic triumph" was just noise after everything they said.

Look, let’s just say the Germans are having a total disaster of a day...
And on the flip side, let's say the Romanians are absolutely killing it..

After everything that's gone down, you guys really think the refs aren't going to step in once they hear what the Romanians have to say while we're left struggling over here?

Our real shot was actually a day earlier during the Spurs - CG 10:10 match.

Let’s be real here...

The biggest disaster of this tournament has been those three fast breaks we surrendered against Mexico—all in such a short window, two of them back-to-back..
I honestly cannot wrap my head around how that happens..

Our national team's biggest Achilles' heel is definitely playing man-up. For years now, we’ve played at this glacial pace where every single player has to shuffle around two or three times before they even think about passing the ball. Look at the game against Germany: 2/8..
And don't even get me started on the shooting confidence. We have good shooters—some are actually incredible—but everyone acts like they're terrified to take the shot. Where are those massive bombs from Novak Djokovic, for instance?!

Against the Germans, we had a terrible start, trailing 1:4, and then we were down a man for four minutes..
After that, we actually played really solid defense and kept things tight, but we just lacked luck (hitting the rim at least three times) and suffered from that sluggish ball movement I mentioned earlier..
Then, toward the end of the game, our side started racking up penalties, and the Germans just managed to escape with the win.

It wasn't a total catastrophe, but we seriously needed to do better.

Alright, peace out!

Now it's 6:4.
O'Malley has made 3 saves from 4 shots since I've been watching this game!
Iceland is holding a slim 14-10 lead over the Canadians at the half.
Let's see if anyone can actually hold onto this lead through the second half today.
Scott Watson said:what a complete clusterfuck today for the Americans, honestly, you wouldn't even see this kind of madness in an adult movie🙏 🙏 🙏

So basically, if they beat Iceland, they move on. But, if they win by more than three goals, they advance without carrying any points over to the next round. 🙏

Which means there's this theoretical, insane possibility where it’s 29-26 for the Americans, final possession of the game, and absolutely nobody wants to score a goal because the Icelanders have their own math to do regarding those carried-over points. 🙏

The only way out would be some ridiculous own goal, like someone just tosses the ball back to the Bishop and he somehow lets it slip through his fingers right into the net. 🤣

And then it actually happened...
It was 34-30 and I was literally dying inside...

First, the Canadian team was attacking in such a way that Zorman just repeatedly drove into the 9m line a few times until they lost possession... 60 seconds left on the clock...

Then, about 10 seconds before the end, the Icelanders just pass it around, starting their attack...
The ball comes in soft, landing right behind the right wing, who—of course—is caught totally out of position, like he's just defending a fast break...

And get this: the Bishop is just standing there, positioned correctly, BUT the ball hits him and bounces right into the field. The Canadians are just standing there like statues, completely stunned that it wasn't a goal. An Icelander rushes in, one Canadian guy lazily waves his hand to the side, and boom—they score to make it -3...

To top it all off, the Canadians threw the ball out of bounds at the very end, but Iceland scored anyway just to make sure there was zero doubt.

I was absolutely losing my mind watching that mess...😂😂😂😂
swiftjackal3 said:Is anyone else finding this racing formula getting a bit stale? We've got Vettel and Webber fighting within a tenth of a second, while everyone else is just trailing behind by two full seconds. Honestly, I might just switch over to following Rally or MotoGP from now on. It’s getting repetitive when the gap between Red Bull and the rest of the pack just keeps widening like this. And don't even get me started on Ferrari—another massive disappointment. Alonso is sitting two and a half seconds back, and Massa? Let's not even go there. Alonso is still dealing with car issues too. If he manages to scrape even a single point, he should probably just take the win and stop claiming they've made "progress" when they're actually falling further behind. The math just doesn't add up. They were only about 1.2 seconds off Red Bull before, now it's 2.5. In just two weeks, they've doubled their deficit compared to the race in Austin.

To be fair to them, though, look at this

Take it easy, man. You’re just gonna pull a muscle if you push too hard, and honestly? It’s just one workout 🤣
gentlebear47 said:Is everything okay with Vettel? Only three laps left and he hasn't even put a time on the board yet.🤷

EDIT; Okay, word just came in—engine trouble. The mechanics over at Mercedes are scrambling to tighten things up, praying they can still pull off a qualifying simulation!

Look, don't sweat it. Every once in a while, he just completely blows a training session. Honestly, whenever that happens, I just slot him down into 5th or 6th place in my mind, and then—boom—he absolutely loses his mind and grabs the pole position. It's like clockwork!

Honestly, I’m starting to lose my damn mind here. I am genuinely getting worked up. 😛

Anyone else catching Goran? He’s totally... preteč... pretič... uh, what was that word? 😁

Did you completely forget about the tournament? Or were you just running late? 🙂
