Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Alright, I’ve got a question for you guys.
Back in November, I started slamming some Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard, and man, it worked—I packed on about 18 pounds in three months (went from 155 to 172 lbs). Along with that, I totally overhauled my diet: way more chicken, turkey, cheese, tuna, grains... the whole nine yards.
Now, I’m done with that stuff, and my neighbor suggested I switch over to some Dymatize Elite Whey, which I bought and have been sipping on for about 10 days now.
The problem is, the banana flavor is honestly pretty gross, and I’ve actually dropped a couple of pounds in the last two weeks. I’m just doing one scoop, about 30 grams, once a day.

So, what’s actually going to happen now that I'm moving from the mass gainer to the Whey?
Am I going to lean out while still getting stronger? Or should I be bumping up the dosage later on?

I’m hitting the weights every other day for about an hour and a half. I’ve got a bench, some dumbbells, and a stationary bike at home. 😁

velvetfalcon44 said:That gainer you're using is total garbage, and honestly, the manufacturer Waider isn't worth much either...
Better off grabbing something high-quality like:
1. Sci mentor Mass Gainer 5000
2. Mass Gainer plus UBOSS
3. Isogainer
4. Mass Factor
5. Serious Mass
6. Muscle Juice
7. Optimum Nutrition

Why exactly is it bad? I can only order all of these online, or can I actually find them in stores around Chicago?

So, three months ago I started slamming Weider Crash Weight Gain. After about six weeks, I switched over to some standard Whey protein, but now I’m thinking about jumping back on the Crash again (since the instructions say
6 weeks of Crash followed by 6 weeks of Whey
). Should I stick with the Crash or just move on to something else entirely? Any suggestions? I'm not trying to look like a pro bodybuilder or anything crazy—just working out at home every other day with my bench, some dumbbells, and hitting the local high school football field for runs

Maybe I should just start with Kendo and then move on to kenjutsu later. And where do they hold Kendo in Spain?

Why wouldn't you just dive straight into kenjutsu? It’s basic math, really. You save yourself the time, and honestly, you'll probably save a few bucks too if you don't spend months doing the introductory stuff first.😁

So why not just jump straight into Kenjutsu? You’ll save yourself a ton of time, and honestly, you'll save some cash too.😁

What kind of gear do I actually need for Kenjutsu? Just a bokken and a kimono, or do they usually hand those out when you first sign up?
Also, what does the training actually look like at the beginning? Like, when do you finally get to go at it and spar with someone else?

What even is kenjutsu?

I don't know, man. Maybe it’d be better to start with Kendo first and then maybe move into kenjutsu later on. Also, where do they actually hold Kendo matches in Spain?

Hey, I’m looking to get into Kendo training. What kind of gear am I gonna need to get started, and roughly what's the damage gonna be for the price tag?

That’s the whole issue right there. What’s even the point? Like, what am I actually gaining from these sports? Honestly, I’m way more interested in Kenjutsu. What’s the actual purpose behind it?

So, Zelio wants to get into some kind of martial art where the focus is mostly on blades. Honestly, what's even the actual difference between kendo and kenjutsu? And more importantly, which one do you guys think is actually better?
