Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
So, I just got back from my follow-up appointment 🙂)) and honestly, it’s a bit of a relief—the mass is definitely smaller 🙂plus there’s barely any fluid in the abdominal cavity anymore... My doctor actually looked totally blindsided when I mentioned they didn't even run a PAP test while I was in the hospital, which, yeah, kind of defeats the purpose, right? So now I'm stuck playing the waiting game again, just hanging tight for the lab results and the actual PAP findings. Fingers crossed everything comes back clean this time. 🙂

Thanks a million for the reply 🙂 but my appointment with the OBGYN isn't until Friday—this is going to be one hell of a long week. What do you guys think... could this be linked to why my period is basically non-existent? I mean, I only get it a couple of times a year at most.

So, I finally got discharged from the hospital yesterday—was stuck there because of this massive ovarian inflammation. It’s wild because I didn't have any warning signs, no pain or anything, until one night out of nowhere, it just hit me like a freight train. I couldn't even touch my stomach; I genuinely felt like I was going to explode. Once I ended up in the ER, the tests came back looking pretty grim, and they told me I had to be admitted immediately. Turns out I've got a 5 cm cyst on my left ovary. Since I'm currently living abroad in a country where my English isn't quite up to par yet, things were a bit confusing. The doctors mentioned the cyst is filled with blood... is that basically the same thing as a water cyst?
Then they dropped the other bombshell: there's some kind of fluid buildup in my pelvic cavity. Could be blood, could be serous fluid, could be something else entirely—they honestly weren't sure. To make matters worse, I ended up in the hospital at the absolute worst possible time—right during the holidays when actual specialists are nowhere to be found.😢
I'm feeling a bit better now, though that tightness in my lower abdomen is still lingering, along with those sharp, stabbing pains. Sometimes the ache radiates down my left leg (which I assume is related), but since my labs are starting to look better, they were finally able to pull me off the IV. They sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics and strict orders to just rest.
They did warn me that we need to monitor this cyst closely to make sure it doesn't fuse to the ovary—because if that happens, my chances of getting pregnant down the road are going to be pretty slim.😢
I've got an appointment with a gynecologist next week, and man, I am really hoping this specialist actually knows what they're doing compared to the crew at the hospital.😢
Anyway, sorry for the massive rant, I guess I just needed to get this off my chest.🤣

So, I hit my first period about 13 years ago. Since then, things have been pretty erratic—I’d only get them maybe 4 or 5 times a year. I’ve gone through every specialist out there, and they all just gave me the same old line: everything looks perfectly fine.
For the last four months, though, my cycle actually decided to show up on schedule. But here’s the kicker—only one of those was an actual, full-on period. The rest of them? Just this weird, dark discharge with tiny streaks of blood. It’s barely anything, either—just enough that I can get by with a pantyliner. What do you guys think is going on? Thanks in advance.🙂
Eye issues / Vision problems in Health ·
So, I’ve been dealing with this absolute nightmare with my eyes for about six years now... Basically, anytime I look at something bright—like a white screen or even just a sunny day outside—these tiny little spots start dancing around in my vision. They look like little gnats or floating specks, and honestly, it’s driving me straight up the wall. It makes it impossible to focus on anything for more than five minutes without getting distracted by these stupid little things. I’ve dragged myself to several specialists over the last few years, but nobody seems to be able to give me a straight answer or tell me if there's actually a way to fix it. To make matters worse, the number of these little floaters seems to be creeping up lately. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of nonsense? Does anyone actually know what's going on here?

Well, they told me my ovaries aren't even polycystic.🤷
Honestly, I’m just terrified about whether I’ll ever be able to have kids—that's easily my biggest fear right now. Every single one of those doctors tries to convince me there's nothing to worry about, but man, how am I supposed to just switch off that anxiety?😢
Has anyone else here dealt with this kind of uncertainty and actually managed to conceive naturally and go on to have a healthy baby?

I’ve been dealing with this exact same mess for years now... honestly, I only get my period about five times a year. It’s been a total nightmare—I’ve dragged myself to countless doctors, from local clinics right here in the States to specialists over in Germany. And the kicker? Nobody has a clue why. Like, according to all the tests, everything is supposedly "fine," yet my cycle just refuses to show up. It’s such a gross, unsettling feeling—knowing things are just building up inside me while the "experts" just shrug their shoulders and offer zero actual help. Right now, I’m just messing around with some herbal teas, hoping maybe they'll actually do something for once.🤷
