Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Jamie Robinson3 said:Hey there!

I’m looking for some solid recommendations for a private dermatologist up in Washington, D.C. I really need someone who can handle a thorough scalp exam and run some microbiological testing. If anyone here has actually dealt with this before, please let me know.

Dr. Sanja Gregurić, based in Washington, D.C.

Also, I know options are slim, but has anyone here tried functional medicine? Specifically Dark Marđetko in San Diego or Fedor Mataić in Miami? I've heard some pretty positive things about both, but I'm stuck on which one to choose—the wait times are brutal, several months out. Any advice at all would be more than welcome! 🙂

Best, 🙂

In the meantime, I ended up going to the Tel Aviv clinic to see Dr. Vesna Goldoni because her online reviews seemed decent. Honestly? I am not happy at all. There is absolutely no way I'm going back for a follow-up. The woman spent the entire time staring at her computer screen typing up notes, barely listening to a word I said. She didn't offer any new insights either—just told me I need to redo all the tests I already have (which is roughly $333 worth of stuff) just so we can be "100% sure," apparently. 🤦 On top of that, she’s impossible to reach via email, which is a huge dealbreaker for me. When I tried, she just gave me this cold, dismissive response saying I should "just come back in, but there's no rush"... 🙄

On a much better note, I have to recommend the dermatologist, Dr. Sanja Gregurić. She is hands down the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. From her kindness to her expertise and sheer knowledge—every single aspect was perfect. The woman is an absolute powerhouse. 🙂

I’m looking for a solid endocrinologist. Ideally, I'd prefer someone near Miami, but honestly, if there's a standout specialist in New York City, I wouldn't mind making the trip. I just need someone who actually knows what they're doing and can help.

Also, I know options are pretty slim here, but has anyone actually sat down with a functional medicine doctor? Specifically Dark Marđetko in San Diego or Fedor Mataić in Miami? I've been hearing nothing but good things about both of them, but I'm stuck on which one to choose. The waiting lists are brutal—we're talking several months of waiting. Any insight would be massively appreciated! 🙂

Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Hi there!
Has anyone by any chance dealt with a situation similar to mine? I’ve been diagnosed with a cyst—it's clear, no septations, no fluid flow, they say it's a follicular type. It fluctuates in size; sometimes it's 2cm, but at its largest, it hit about 5cm. I've noticed that if I drink certain herbal teas or if I'm on specific medication (I've cycled through verification, Duphaston, and Yaz over a 7-month period), it shrinks significantly, but it never actually disappears. My markers are fine, and my hormones are relatively steady; the LH to FSH ratio is 1:1, my androgens are low, progesterone is within range, but my prolactin is right at the upper limit and my estradiol is always under 100. It isn't below the reference range, but honestly, for a 26-year-old, it really ought to be higher. When I was on hormone therapy, I felt absolutely miserable and my hair started falling out, so going back on that is definitely not an option for me. Since my markers are also low, my doctors aren't recommending laparoscopy, but I'm genuinely worried—is it possible to just carry this cyst around forever? Ever since I started getting regular checkups, which was over 5 years ago, it has just been sitting there.🙄I would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has gone through something similar.
