I feel like the mid-season grind is just a slog lately, especially when the stakes feel so low for both sides. Sometimes I wonder if we're just watching for the sake of habit at this point. Do you guys still get hyped for these standard divisional matchups, or are you just waiting for the playoffs?

It’s possible they perform the same procedures here that Glumičić frequently handles over in Boston 🤷 You can actually find Zambelli listed among the doctors on this site, and there's even an option to book a consultation directly with him.
analoghound6 said:But he performs surgeries in San Francisco; at least, that’s what he told me in his email.

Seriously? 😕 I haven't reached out to him yet, but if that's actually the case, then it's perfect. A trip up to Seattle would be a 12-hour haul for me.

So... I'm planning to get surgery for a deviated septum and maybe touch up my nose a bit at the same time 😉 since I'm going to school in Seattle, does anyone happen to know a good cosmetic surgeon around here? It would be a total hassle to keep traveling all the way to NYC just to have tampons changed or casts removed... 🙄
If anyone has any firsthand experience or has heard anything about someone (good or bad), I’d really appreciate the help. 😁😁

Zambelli is in Seattle
analogbison15 said:Is there any way I could pay for the surgery, say, $667 upfront, and then just handle the rest through monthly installments (ideally over 24 months)?

You’ll have to check with the doctor directly. Every surgeon handles their billing differently.

I’m really crossing my fingers that the swelling right on the bridge of my nose isn't too extreme and won't permanently change how I look. I love how everything looks right now—I just hope the swelling stays localized there and spreads toward the bridge and cheeks instead. 🙂

My cheeks and the bridge of my nose were absolutely huge at first, too, but that swelling goes down incredibly fast. 😉 Glad you're happy with the results!
hollowgardener14 said:😳 I honestly thought he was doing a great job and that nobody had any complaints about him :/

You really need to scroll through this forum a bit more; there are plenty of negative experiences being shared here, even if there are some positive ones too.
hollowgardener14 said:Hey everyone... So, I’ve been seriously weighing the idea of getting a rhinoplasty lately. I'm starting to think that soon I could finally have a nice, smooth nose without that hump, so I don't have to constantly turn my head away just to avoid someone catching my profile. Honestly, it feels like my nose gets bigger every single day. :/ It runs in the family, too—my grandfather had a massive, elephantine nose, and my dad has that same wide, heavy look. Unfortunately, I definitely inherited the features from their side of the family.
I grew up in the Midwest, and my mom used to mention Glumičić to me, but I eventually passed on him because his fees seemed way out of my budget. Anyway, I’m really leaning toward getting my rhinoplasty done under local anesthesia with sedation rather than going full general. People say general anesthesia carries too many risks and side effects, so I've been doing some digging online. I noticed that Tončić performs nose jobs using that specific type of anesthesia, and I was actually getting pretty excited about booking them. Since I live only a couple of hours away from Washington, D.C., it felt convenient—until I stumbled upon a video of Dr. Glušac. He specializes in closed rhinoplasty using local anesthesia, and honestly, the results he produces are absolutely stunning. At this point, I don't care if I have to drive down to Miami or fly all the way to the USA; I just want to finally have a nose I love. 😁
What do you all think about this whole mess? Honestly, where am I even supposed to turn? Also, if anyone happens to know the price difference between Tončić and Glušac, I’d be incredibly grateful... Bokić 😁

Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn’t sweat the technicalities too much—whether they go with an open or closed technique, or which specific type of anesthesia they use. They aren't going to throw you under general anesthesia unless there's absolutely no other way. To be blunt, I had a nightmare experience with Glušac. He put me under general anesthesia instead of using local reinforcement, and it was a disaster. I actually have to go back for a revision surgery in a few months because of it, so I definitely wouldn't recommend him. If you really want the full story, I can shoot you a private message with all the details, but honestly, it’s probably not worth it. The guy is just a disappointment across the board.
northernsailor102 said:Hey everyone! Here is my situation: I had nose surgery just under two years ago. The procedure itself went fine, and at first, I was actually happy with the results. However, as the swelling went down, I started noticing small irregularities and bumps. The tip shifted to one side, and the lower part looks totally out of proportion with the top—it feels way too wide. I eventually realized that the first surgeon didn't actually deliver what I asked for, so I decided to go in for a revision. That’s where the nightmare began. I’ve sat through about ten different consultations with ten different surgeons, and they all say the exact same thing: they don't want to touch me and they can't operate on me. It seems like no surgeon wants to deal with revision cases. So, what am I supposed to do? Who do I even go to? If anyone here has dealt with something similar, I could really use some advice....

Are you serious? 😕 I'm actually heading in for a revision myself soon. I haven't done the consultations yet, but is it true that they really won't do them? Who did you see? Is your case just that complicated, or is it something else?
Has anyone actually dealt with Zambelli before? I’ve scrolled through just about every thread here, but if there's someone out there with firsthand experience who hasn't posted much about it yet, I could really use some insight. 👍

EDIT: Okay, just checked—the lyrics actually say it's bad for your health... As if anyone could have guessed without reading the "lyrics"

The song is called "Untrust US" and they're basically saying cocaine isn't good for you... Just use some common sense here.

goldenscout14 said:Even if it is about cocaine, there's no rule against singing about it. Cocaine has been celebrated in songs a thousand times over.

Sure, but it's the Washington National Children's Choir

🙏

Do they even realize that song is literally about cocaine?

To whom it may concern,,
Thank you for reaching out to us. The estimated cost for a rhinoplasty procedure to address the nasal tip would be... $2.25 Based on what the surgeon said after looking over those images you sent.
Best regards.

Do you honestly think it's possible to get something like this for such a "low" price? 👋

It’s ridiculous—they have two different prices listed for the exact same procedure right there on their own website. 🤷 Well, if they told you that's how it works, then I guess it’s possible.
You should probably just check in with your doctor the day after tomorrow. Since everyone’s situation is different, they can give you a rough estimate based on how intensive the surgery is and all that.
If I remember correctly, it took me about two weeks before I could finally breathe easy again, though even then, my nose was constantly getting stuffed up.
Angela Davis8 said:Has anyone here dealt with Dr. Branko Glusc over in Santa Barbara?

You’ve got a lot of posts in this thread—some horror stories and some glowing reviews—but personally, my experience wasn't great. I wouldn't recommend him.
rapidbadger7 said:Has anyone dealt with headaches a month after nose surgery? It’s this dull, nagging ache, almost like sinus pressure or when you have a bad cold and everything feels congested.
My nose is still totally blocked, so I'm basically breathing through my mouth constantly. I honestly can't tell if this is just part of the process or if something is wrong!!!

I used to get constant headaches all the time before my surgery, but since the procedure, they've completely vanished—though the congestion was definitely an issue for me.
Has anyone here actually gone through a follow-up surgery at Zambelli? I’d love to hear about your experience if you have one.
rapidbadger7 said:So, you've been waiting almost a full year now? 😕
I’d say a 3 to 4 month window is usually pretty realistic (though obviously, that depends on the specific surgery and if there are any follow-up complications)
Have you gone back for a check-up lately?

Yeah, I'm still waiting, but it's pretty obvious he messed up my nose—both how it looks and how I breathe. 😁 I haven't gone back to see him; it's too far away and honestly, it feels pointless. I don't have the energy to get into an argument about it.
rapidbadger7 said:What kind of experience have you all had with BREATHING AFTER (SEOTO)RHINOPLASTY?
How many weeks did it take before you actually felt like you could breathe properly?
For me, it’s been two weeks and it’s still rough—aside from that initial moment where I could finally draw air "all the way to my brain" right after they took the packing out, it’s just been bad. I can’t feel any scabs, but I have stitches, and I’ve been cleaning everything regularly with saline (maybe I started too late once those initial scabs already formed? Around day 5 after the packing came out?). I’m also using Neutrogena drops.
I’m curious about your experiences; I read somewhere that breathing might stay difficult for several months following the surgery... maybe up to 3 or 4.
Has anyone here dealt with poor airflow at first, only to have it improve over time until you were eventually breathing "better than before the surgery"?

My surgeon told me I wouldn't be breathing normally until next year (I had my surgery in July), and here I am, still waiting.
brightangler18 said:Did they break your nose too? I'm curious about what kind of surgery you actually had done. What was the doctor's official explanation for that bump?

I honestly have no clue what’s going on. My fat pad shifted—it's not super obvious or anything, but still. After everything I went through just to fix that hump on my back, I would absolutely lose my mind if this area started looking uneven again. It's so frustrating. How long did it take for your bump to flatten out? And did they actually have to break any bone for your procedure?

They really did a number on him. Honestly, I can't say exactly how long it took for the swelling to go down, but it definitely should have been at least two months. It just takes time for everything to settle back to normal. Personally, my reaction was pretty intense—I ended up with burst capillaries in my eyes and looked bruised or purple for at least three weeks. Because of that, the inflammation probably lingered much longer than usual for me.

The doctor’s explanation was basically a shrug and a "don't worry about it." He just told me, "It's all just swollen, it'll settle down eventually"—and he used that exact same dismissive line to cover up both the lump and the asymmetrical tip. 🤷 I didn't even bother going back later. I watched the rest of my nose shrink, but the tip just ended up looking worse and more obvious over time. As for those bumps you're describing, I don't have them anymore. I have this tiny little ridge right at the bridge, but you can't really see it unless you're staring intensely in the mirror—you mostly just feel it if you touch it. That part showed up about a week or two after the surgery.

crimsonpanther said:So, here’s how my saga goes. For twenty-four years, I was obsessed with having a small nose—something like Angie Jolie’s—because mine was too big and crooked. I finally bit the bullet and went for surgery with this famous surgeon in Seattle, but the result? It was barely any smaller, actually looked bigger, and was even more crooked. The bridge was totally out of proportion. After that disaster, I decided to go for a second surgery. I waited ten months and then picked a doctor who wasn't nearly as famous, hoping he could fix the mess the "celebrity" surgeon made. He actually succeeded in making the bridge smaller and straighter, but the second surgery created a whole new headache at the tip. One side looked completely dented because of missing cartilage, while the other side had this huge, unsightly bump from excess cartilage. On the surface, it looked cute and smaller, but that tip was driving me insane. Between the asymmetry and the fact that it still looked slightly crooked, it just looked "fake"—like an obvious surgery—and I couldn't get any peace of mind. A week ago, I finally pulled the trigger on a third surgery. This time, I went abroad because I absolutely refused to take any more risks locally. I did my homework, researched everything thoroughly, and honestly, I didn't care about the price tag; I just wanted it done right. But the result...😢 So, look—the nose is straight, the bridge and the tip are perfectly proportional, and there aren't any weird bumps or lumps. It actually looks natural, not fake at all. But the problem is, it’s freaking HUGE. I know he had the whole thing reconstructed from the inside out, and I get that you need time to heal and that swelling makes everything look worse early on, but still... it's just massive. 😢 😢 I'm staring at my nose again, and honestly? I am losing my mind. It feels huge, and I am just completely desperate. 😢 Look, I just want to tell you all one thing: there’s no magic rule about which doctor you should see. It doesn't matter if they're some big-name specialist in New York, a local practitioner in a small town, or someone halfway across the world. At the end of the day, it all boils down to two things: whether you actually click with the doctor, and a damn lot of luck.

I don't have nearly as much experience under my belt as you do, but honestly, my nose felt like a literal ball during that first week—just zero shape or definition whatsoever. 🤷 If you're saying they reshaped the whole thing, then yeah, you can bet the swelling is going to be even more intense. There's a massive difference between just fixing a small bump and undergoing a full reconstruction.
