In a small town in the South, you can count on John Doe.

I'm on the hunt for a solid gynecologist in the Washington, D.C. area. I’m looking for recommendations, but please—only from women who have actually dealt with gynecological issues themselves.

It's for my mother. The dentist she used a few years back botched a root canal, and now she's dealing with a bridge and massive inflammation underneath it all. The guy she’s seeing currently is just rushed, impatient, and frankly, pretty rude. I'm looking for someone competent, gentle, and actually willing to take their time.

Absolutely fantastic!!!

Hey everyone...
So, I’ve been on the hunt for a decent dentist lately. Personally, I’m a total wimp when it comes to dental work—going to the dentist has always been my absolute worst nightmare. Since I know plenty of people feel the exact same way, I figured I’d pass along a recommendation for Dr. Motl.
The woman is brilliant. She’s gentle, walks you through everything, actually has patience, and genuinely puts in the effort. It’s a private practice, but looking at her rates, she’s quite affordable compared to others out there. She works with you on the terms.
More importantly, for the first time ever, I don't dread the appointment or feel physically sick just thinking about it. Good luck to everyone out there. Peace.

My period arrived 2 weeks early!!!!!! in Health ·
Terry Newman6 said:I really need some help here!!! I’m 20 years old and my cycle is usually super regular. My last period started on July 21st, and now it’s already back—it just started again on August 6th. Normally, my cycle runs about 33 days (give or take two), and it’s always been pretty predictable. The only times things ever shift is if I get really stressed out or if I start panicking about the possibility of being pregnant—since I don't take any birth control. But this? This is more than two weeks early!!!!!!

What should I even do?? Does anyone know why this happens?? My boyfriend is insisting that I should probably go see a doctor (though, honestly, I’d rather skip it since my usual physician isn't available and I'd have to see some random guy instead)

Please, if anyone can give me some insight, I would appreciate it because I am genuinely freaking out..... thanks

Look, you really ought to see an OB-GYN. Honestly, you might be better off seeing a male doctor; they tend to be much gentler. In just the last month, I've dealt with about ten different doctors—mostly men—and I've definitely become convinced they handle things better.
I don't want to scare you, but bleeding this far outside your normal pattern isn't something to ignore. Go see a professional and get an ultrasound so you can rule out cysts or whatever else might be going on.
