I'm actually watching it right now... well, just having it on the TV 😉

I have this vivid memory of my mom renting this out at the video store back when I was a sick little kid. It’s such a brilliant animation, honestly; the visuals are stunning. It felt so surreal seeing them blend real people and actual landscapes into the animation—it was unlike anything else. I also remember thinking the Nazgûl in this version felt way more menacing than the ones you see in the movies 😲

I honestly loved pretty much everything on that list, especially Carrie. 😁One of my favorites of his has to be The Bonfire of the Vanities, even though De Palma and pretty much the entire cast try to distance themselves from it. I'll admit, the movie feels a bit heavy-handed with its morality and you can definitely get lost in the madness of it all—plus, the characters could have been written with more depth since their motivations sometimes feel a little thin... but honestly, despite all that, I still think the film is a great watch.
