Dealing with Scabies and itching? in Health ·

I ended up using that Johnson's Baby cream—the one with the light-colored lid, if I remember correctly—and it seemed to help me out quite a bit.
I believe it was called Johnson's Baby or something like that.
They had it over at CVS and a few other places, so you might want to check there.

Seriously though... I'm heading out tomorrow specifically to grab that cream. Honestly, after all the money I've wasted on this already, it'll probably be nothing, right? Hehe... well, let's see what happens. 🙂

Scabies, itching, whatever you want to call this nightmare... I don't care about the labels, I just want to know how to fix it. Is there actually an effective cream out there to stop this constant itching? I was browsing the Pfizer website and saw mention of Permethrin 5%, but when I go to the local pharmacy, they act like I'm speaking a foreign language?? NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM KNOWS WHAT IT IS!!! And honestly, Benzyl Benzoate? Total waste of time. It does absolutely nothing.

Seriously, how lucky am I? Living in the 21st century just to get slapped with this... :S One minute I'm heading to the gym, and the next? Boom. Total nightmare.
It’s only day two and I’m already slathering on creams constantly. I can't even shower for three days straight—just gotta keep applying the stuff, then on the fourth day, finally wash up and head in for a checkup. My family is also using preventative creams, too. But what about the house? It's usually spotless, you know? Now I'm stuck wondering how to disinfect everything. Do I just use my regular household cleaners or do I need some specialized medical-grade stuff? I've been spiraling through endless info online and now I'm just paralyzed by indecision...

Does anyone actually have more intel on this condition? I don't recall ever hearing about anyone in my neck of the woods dealing with this. How long does the treatment phase actually last? And more importantly, how can I go above and beyond to protect my family?

My doctor mentioned I could have passed it on through borrowed clothes, physical contact, or even handling cash. Honestly? It sounds a bit extreme to me, but then again... :/
PLUS, my doctors keep telling me I’m just sitting around doing nothing, and honestly, I have no clue what they mean... I guess there might be some truth to it, but how much are we talking about here? ???? I’m already bracing myself for the absolute worst.

To make matters even more infuriating—back when I was five months along during my checkup, the doctor examined me, told me everything looked perfectly normal, and handed me my results. He specifically said if I needed a follow-up, I should bring those papers with me. And then, of course, because I can't have anything easy, I look at the results yesterday and think, "Eh, I don't really need this..." and toss them aside. Just... ugh.
Sophia Garcia41 said:Has anyone ever dealt with rectal bleeding after a bowel movement? At first, it was just tiny traces on the paper following a hard stool. But last week, it got much more intense—it was actually visible in the stool, there was diarrhea, and once, I even had a few drops leak out before I even went. Honestly, once I started Googling what all the possibilities were, I practically ran to my doctor the next day. My biggest fear is cancer; I’m only 21, but I know that kind of stuff doesn't care how old you are. It hits whenever it wants. However, after a digital exam by my GP and some dietary advice, the bleeding stopped. To be fair, over the last fifteen days (excluding the last three since I switched to oats, whole grains, and fruit), I went absolutely overboard on junk food—chocolate, peanuts, chips, soda... basically an endless buffet of unhealthy stuff. I just got my blood and urine results back today (which, let's face it, I don't understand at all), and a few values looked a bit off, so I wanted to ask the forum if there's a kind soul who could explain them to me. I can't wait until tomorrow for my appointment with the surgeon, who will probably just send me for a colonoscopy anyway (but fine, whatever).

I'm really hoping it's just hemorrhoids tomorrow!

Sorry if this is a bit gross!

Oh my God...
That was back on May 4th, 2011. Today... IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!!! SHIT!
I have no idea what to do. I had that digital exam and everything seemed fine then. There was no bleeding for a while, and now, suddenly, here we go again. 🙄 About two or three weeks ago, I started getting these little blisters on my arms. At first, I thought maybe I'd caught something from my boyfriend, since he had something similar. I saw a dermatologist, and she prescribed 3% Boric Acid to apply along with dexamethasone; he got a cream and dex too. She also mentioned that these blisters might be a signal from somewhere inside—like a warning light flashing on a dashboard—but she admitted she doesn't know exactly what it means yet. So right now, I'm in... 😲😲
The treatment I've been on for two days has helped the blisters shrink, but now THIS. ???
On top of that, I've had this mild nausea in my stomach and throat (it's been going on for two or three weeks now). I can't tell if it's just the heat or if it's actually colon cancer, because everything feels like it's pointing toward that, and it is literally driving me insane.
Just the thought of it.

Also, I'm wondering: how deep can hemorrhoids be located in the intestine such that they bleed fresh blood but can't be felt during a digital exam?

Help! 😢
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hey everyone!
Back in May, I started noticing bleeding from my anus. I went to see a doctor, they did a digital rectal exam and told me everything looked fine. After I cleaned up my diet, the bleeding stopped and stayed gone until today. I was absolutely terrified!!! I’ve recently slipped back into eating junk food, so I suppose this is just the logical consequence of my choices. But if things weren't bad enough, I’ve also developed this blistery rash on my arms. When I saw a dermatologist, they basically told me it's some kind of internal signal—like a warning light flashing on a dashboard—but even they didn't know what the actual cause was. At the time, my blood work came back normal, though I was told I needed to redo the tests.

I'm wondering, just how deep can hemorrhoids be located for them to cause bleeding that wouldn't be felt during a standard digital rectal exam? I'm bracing myself for the worst here; at twenty-one years old, all I need now is colon cancer...

help me please 😢(((

edit: nothing actually hurts or stings around the area, but I've been dealing with some mild nausea in my stomach and throat for a while now—nothing involving vomiting, though. I'm hoping it's just the summer heat... hmmm

Has anyone else ever dealt with rectal bleeding after a bathroom trip? At first, it was just a few spots on the paper following some hard stools. But last week? It got much worse—blood actually visible in the stool, some diarrhea, and one time there were even drops before I even sat down. My biggest fear is cancer; I mean, I'm only 21, but I know illness doesn't care how old you are. It just hits when it wants to. Anyway, after my primary care physician did a digital rectal exam and suggested some dietary changes, the bleeding actually stopped. To be fair, for the last fifteen days or so (excluding the last three since I switched to oats, crunchy veggies, and fruit), I went absolutely overboard on junk food—dry snacks, chocolate, peanuts, chips, soda... basically an all-you-can-eat buffet of processed garbage. Today, I finally got my blood and urine results back (which, let’s face it, I don't understand at all), and a few numbers look a bit off. I wanted to ask the Forum—is there a kind soul out there who can make sense of this for me? I can't wait until tomorrow for my appointment with the surgeon, who will probably just tell me I need a colonoscopy (but fine, whatever).
