Adam Williams2 said:Well, I guess you're an outsider now, huh? 🤣

You didn't really claim that identity until just now. 🕺

I guess I don't know what they're doing in the streets; maybe you should just go ask them. Honestly, who really cares what they do out there? That's kind of the whole point, I suppose. 😉

That's how the Democrats call us, too. 🤣

Patrick Martin said:claims he can barely even get a word out 🙏

Look, I'm telling you, back in '45, like 90% of those old-school insurgents just casually switched sides to join the partisans ☕

They basically just tossed their old gear in the trash, ditched the camo, and slapped a red star on their foreheads instead 😉

Here is the other side of the argument. 🤣🙏

Adam Williams2 said:And where exactly is this "melting pot" looking? Toward New York or toward some small town in the Midwest? Don't be silly, you all belong to the same crowd. 😁

Yeah, I did feel insulted. Maybe if some polite, decent guy from a truly classy country asked me something like that, I might have felt embarrassed for my own people. But since I can't think of any country that isn't dealing with its own mess, and your little faction within the country doesn't fit my idea of "decent" either, I just don't get it. Every time some outsider comes along asking what's wrong with us or what we're doing, I'm supposed to feel ashamed and explain to you that we aren't actually like that.🙄

But honestly, maybe we are, and maybe worse. We've been fighting amongst ourselves and dealing with corruption for ages. But man, let me tell you, it makes my stomach turn when people from the outside act like they want to "help" us find the right path, or when people here try to justify it using those same excuses...

The same logic would apply to Germans, the British, the French, or anyone else—you've got your own problems to deal with. So, when you say, "But you're a Mexican," just forget it. That's not the point. 😉

By rejecting us—your well-meaning neighbors—you're just staying trapped by the past, squeezed by the issues that surfaced during this transition period.

You need to explain to a simple guy like me, in plain English, what those radicals are actually doing on the streets this Monday.

I'm your neighbor, just across the Mississippi—watching you from my own front porch.🤣

Jason Anderson4 said:If you actually believe that five thousand people would bother getting off their couches to protest over a single song, then you’re even more naive than those sheep who blindly vote for the Republican Party. I truly hope you don't have dual citizenship or any way to cast a vote here in America, unlike so many other outsiders who act as a total weight around our necks during a coup.

I don't even have a passport—Edge79 promised to help me out, but nothing has happened yet.😢

Adam Williams2 said:Yeah, you hit the nail on the head there, but honestly, who's going to divide us anyway? 🤣 😁

Of course, just like always, we're nowhere near the center of things, but hey, go ahead and be the victim if you want. 😁

Why do you people keep coming at me all these years with this "who's dividing us" nonsense when I have absolutely nothing to do with those types?

I come from a completely different background entirely. 🤣

By the way,
why are you acting so offended just because I asked—in a perfectly polite and civil manner—what on earth possessed these idiots to show up in such massive numbers to protest some moron being sidelined over racist slogans?

Just bow down, I guess. 😉

I don't think he understands how thousands of people feel, and frankly, I don't get a lot of things either—like where everyone stands on the other side of the border or all those nastier issues. Still, I've never felt the urge to jump onto those foreign forums to ask them what their deal is, not even just for kicks or out of boredom. That’s just me, I guess. ☕

And yeah, sure, go ahead and attack Thompson since he's the first thing mentioned, then move on to the historical factions, the rebels, the partisans... just keep fighting amongst yourselves over left versus right until you finally conclude that politics is a mess and someone is dividing us, for the five millionth time. 🙏

And what exactly is my rhetoric?

By the way,
you answered your own question. I just had to bait you into it. 🙂

Mexicans show up on an American forum asking questions they shouldn't be asking. Honestly, what are they even doing in America? 🙂
Actually, why do they even exist? 🙂

Adam Williams2 said:Yeah, we basically tamed him a bit so he won't dare sing, otherwise he would 😉

If you ask me, do those songs really have to be sung, especially by church officials? It's not that I'm defending those thousands of protesters, but 🙄

Of course they don't. They're singing about some guys like Djujic and Kalabic from freaking 1945. Give me a break. 🙏
But honestly, that’s exactly the tragedy for the people in this region—even in 2016, they're still obsessed with dividing everyone into which faction they belonged to during the war.

The average person is just struggling to get by, constantly worrying about their next paycheck or how much more expensive the utility bills will be this month. Then you see these mediocre types protesting because someone dared to touch something related to "what our veterans fought and bled for."

Let's be clear—those supporters of the old extremist movements are just as bad.

mellowotter36 said:The protest isn't actually about the priest. It’s because that local news station got slapped with a three-day broadcast ban following those comments. That footage surfaced six months ago. Look, I don't want anyone thinking I'm defending them—I can't stand that station anyway😬. It's basically just a mouthpiece for Bandić and Mamić.

I'm not entirely certain, but I believe singing those extremist songs or displaying those specific symbols is illegal here in America, much like any fascist imagery. However, this wasn't even filmed in the States; it happened in Chicago.

Bottom line: the singing didn't happen in America, but that idiot anchor knows there are Mexicans in Washington, D.C., standing outside Orthodox churches ready to commit atrocities against children. 🤣🙏
Then, based on nothing but racist and fascist slogans with zero evidence or basis, thousands of protesters rise up to defend "media freedom" against what they claim are large Mexican phalanxes. 🤣🙏

That’s why I asked.

If it's a crime, then people should be held criminally liable. But how do you prosecute something that happened a year ago and was filmed in Chicago? 🤣

The real question is: what do we do with the people shouting those other extremist slogans?

mellowotter36 said:Look, calling people rioters is definitely stupid, or at least a terrible way to put it. But honestly? That Mexican priest in Washington, D.C. brought this on himself. Nobody forced him to sing those militia songs.

I don't want this to look like I'm just protecting my own, and frankly, I feel bad for any Orthodox priest involved—but does singing a Royalist song really justify thousands of people taking to the streets in protest?

Also, is it actually illegal under U.S. law to sing or glorify the Royalists?

Btw,
from what I can tell, the guy with the beard is a Washington, D.C. priest. He barely even opens his mouth. You can practically see how uncomfortable he is.

Anthony Jackson2 said:Just a bunch of slackers and losers—if you actually read the bio—who apparently have nothing better to do than roam the streets looking for trouble because some punk felt emboldened by the Republican Party thieves taking power. What kind of crowd protests in the middle of a weekday, right at noon?

I won't bother digging through the profiles of these protesters and rebels, but one thing makes zero sense to me. You won your war. You have your own independent nation with a minimal Mexican population, your own coat of arms, your flag, and everything you claim to have fought centuries to achieve. And yet, all it takes is some nonsense, some tiny spark, and thousands of idiots pull their old military uniforms and flags out of the closet to go protest against Mexicans who—get this—aren't even there. They aren't a factor in America. If they actually had a say or were given the chance, I bet they’d start a war again in a heartbeat. But against whom?

Short and sweet: massive inferiority complexes.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Wait, hold on. Let me get this straight—thousands of people actually hit the streets today?!?!?! All to support some idiot on a TV show who basically called for a state of emergency because he claimed some extremist group was operating near an Orthodox church in downtown Washington, D.C.???! And then he tells the entire nation to watch their backs so those same extremists don't slaughter them?!?!?!

Unbelievable. It’s 2016. 🤣🤣🤣🙏

Europeans practically invented genocide and total destruction; they're just waiting for a breaking point so the public turns against Muslims, and then everything goes to hell. We’ve already mastered this subject.

Michelle Palmer6 said:Honestly, that’s just another myth—the idea that the Republicans were so screwed they were destined to be destroyed. Not true! Even with their former Prime Minister behind bars and facing blatant theft, corruption, and endless scandals—not to mention having that same Prime Minister's deputy running the party—the Republicans still pulled off a massive win. That tells you everything you need to know: the Republicans are going to crush it regardless of what kind of insane laws they pass. They managed to flip the neutrals and a small chunk of the less hardcore voters over to their side, while the core base remains rock solid. As for that "neutral middle," they'll just bounce back and forth like a ping-pong ball between options. They’ll never truly be satisfied with either side because there’s nothing to be satisfied with—it’s just the same old crowd wearing a different colored hat.

The GOP will always come out on top, or at least right there in the mix for victory, because they have a guaranteed base of voters from the American diaspora. That’s a heavy weight on the scale that will consistently tip the balance toward the Republicans over any other party.
Look, let’s be real: the GOP is the only party that truly embodies patriotism. They represent the veterans, the volunteers, the wounded heroes, our national independence, and our wartime victories. They stand for the church, for morality, and for fundamental ethics. It’s exactly like the political landscape in certain parts of the South where, for a long time, you were told the only way to be a true patriot was to vote for a specific conservative faction. In those circles, being a "real" person meant backing the party that champions the military, the local religious leaders, and traditional values above all else.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s actually possible that even in 2015, there’s still a whole crowd of idiots out there who get worked up over this kind of stuff—all that extreme nationalism and tribalism.

Where's the brain?

ruggedjackal46 said:That’s the one.

Go ahead—try telling me this isn't all the same garbage. Try telling me that interview wasn't scripted and pre-arranged from the start. Everything has been rigged for twenty years. They just crawl out of their holes to put on these staged little shows whenever they need to manipulate the masses with some fake patriotic fervor. 🤣

Since Duke Sterling is backing Josipovich, we’re voting for Kolindica just to spite them. 🤣

Robin Fox2 said:Regardless of all this nonsense, if Karamarko had ties to the old intelligence agencies, he needs to be purged from the GOP and stripped of any authority immediately, just like anyone else who ever worked for them...

We should have followed Poland's lead a long time ago and just cleared them all out once and for all. ☕

There is no "if." The only real question is: WAS HE NOT INVOLVED?
Especially given how things work here in our melting pot of a country. If people actually knew what deals were being struck during the war, they’d all want to check out of life right then and there.

By the way,
speaking of Karamarko, I recently stumbled upon an article—I can't remember where—that explicitly explained how Karamarko, as the head of the GOP, has a "special contact for Washington." 🤣 And apparently, this guy used to be some high-ranking official in a regional militia back in the day.
Of course, everything is framed through patriotism and protecting minority interests, but behind the scenes, it's actually massive, multi-million dollar criminal activity involving the old guard.

Here is my observation: I think the previous coalition had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to completely wipe out the GOP and send them into the dustbin of history. But they were so unprepared for their massive victory and takeover that when they eventually fall, the collapse will be so painful it'll feel like every bone in their bodies is breaking.

The absolute peak of this absurdity will be if the convicted criminal organization that is the GOP manages to claw its way back into power after that whole media circus with Sanders and the trial of the century.
Looking at it objectively, we aren't any better. In fact, we are just as clueless, voting for criminal circles as if someone is intentionally screwing us over and delivering Karamarko straight to our doorstep. 🤣 Personally, looking at him and hearing him speak, I wouldn't even trust him to stamp papers in a local municipal office.

Yes, Karamarko 🤣🙏

brightpilot6 said:But why should we be surprised? It seems to me that more Americans are listening to pop icons like Taylor Swift than there are people over there listening to classic rock legends... and considering the quality of that pop stuff, it’s almost a tragedy.

If you strip away the politics—the kind of stuff that suffocates us daily and keeps us stuck in this endless cycle of dysfunction—you have to admit that rock artists can't be compared to the mainstream pop-country trash that dominates the airwaves.

The core issue is that our entire American culture has been assimilated into this specific trend and lifestyle, one that's been forced on us for over twenty years by the relentless media machine.
Look, everyone has the right to choose their own playlist. But it genuinely frustrates me when I hear "true patriots" dismiss legendary musicians just because of one controversial political anthem or some outdated ideological stance. It’s the same thing when I see people look down on great songwriters simply because they once aligned themselves with a radical political movement.

Ashley Martinez6 said:The fundamental mistake Thompson made was failing to publicly distance himself from those extremist factions, though if you look closely, he didn't really want to, since staying silent kept the money flowing his way...

You had people like Mason, Stavros, Jole, and Peđa Grbin all singing along too—even Juro and Boban joined in—but unlike him, they didn't exactly strike gold from it 🤣

That being said, if you set the politics aside, Thompson actually writes some beautiful love songs, arguably even more of them than he does patriotic ones...

Just to add to that—if you set aside "Čavoglave," "Juru i Bobana," and that other garbage, Thompson has some seriously impressive rock tracks. You’d be surprised how many people in the Midwest actually listen to him.
Henry Lee84 said:What's the deal with these special threads for every major derby 🤷 What kind of criteria are we using here 🤷

You’re definitely certain that you read what Carol Lewis wrote last night with intense focus:
This is going straight to the vault.

From here on out, we're moving over to the Soccer forum. If there’s enough interest in that, we'll make it happen. (Read the quality opener here), and we can start opening threads for every major derby in Germany, England, Italy, or Spain.

You ready?
We both know that isn't true. ☕

Look, here’s the deal: If. It would be interesting. We should definitely start separate threads for the big matchups, regardless of which league they're in.

To što sam I am ready. Please provide the posts you need me to rewrite. I started that thread yesterday because the idea just hit me out of nowhere. I was in exactly the right headspace, so I knocked the whole thing out in one sitting, images and all. I didn't actually pull the trigger on posting it until I ran my thoughts by Ryan Vaughn7 first. He backed me up and told me to go for it, so here we are.
But that was ME. Everyone knows my style when I start a thread; those posts weren't just about stats and numbers. There was plenty of high-level trolling mixed in, too. At least that’s how everyone else described it, and they seemed to enjoy it. It was all in good fun—I didn't even tell Vekiu what I was planning, so he had no idea what hit him. But at the same time, I was being dead serious because we're talking about a matchup between two legendary teams here. That doesn't mean I'm going to pull a stunt like that again. Maybe for the Madonna game, if inspiration strikes. If not, I'll just stick to commenting on the main threads.

Regarding the decision to shut down the live broadcasts, I’ve been in favor of that for quite some time. Even though that model worked incredibly well for the Italian leagues, you have to ask if it's actually worth it when you see how poorly the live streams for other major leagues have performed.
Nothing changes. We aren't cowards, and we aren't going to run away like rats. ☕
