When you show up at the UPS store, just tell them you’re sending it COD. They’ll hand you a form to fill out and walk you through the whole process.
In my experience, they always wanted me to cover the shipping costs upfront, so I’d just bake that into the item's price. For instance, if the item is $33, and shipping via USPS is $20, they charge me that $6.75, so I’d just list the total price for the buyer as $40. I’m not entirely sure if your local post office offers an option where the recipient pays the postage directly instead of you, so you might want to double-check with them...
As for the package itself, you don't need to write anything on it; they handle all the paperwork on their end. The main thing is just making sure you hang onto that receipt proving you sent it COD.🙂
