hollowpilot13 said:Since you’re already chiming in, Jeffrey Garcia6—what’s your take on your colleague here? She acts like a broken record constantly buzzing about Swedish design.

Regarding this—and those other comments supposedly aimed at me—I stayed quiet because your "accusations" are completely baseless. I’m not just pushing Swedish design, I don't have the "friends" you think I do, and I certainly haven't been deleting your posts. I suggest kitchens based on my own taste—which clearly isn't yours 😬—and as for everything else, you've reached some pretty wrong conclusions.
So, past and present, I have zero interest in bickering over this thread—I'll stick to answering actual questions if they come up.

mistypanther said:Let’s all just embrace cheap demagoguery for a moment. An entrance door is NOT part of the interior. Have you ever walked into a retail store and seen an entrance door categorized under "interior"? NO. Why? Because they aren't interior. You find them in stores with—guess what—ENTRANCE doors. Not even in shops where the doors are set back inside the building, but in shops with actual ENTRANCE doors. Come on, please, if an air conditioning unit can be placed in the root directory, why can't this topic? Nobody browsing the interior section is looking for this, because they are interested in completely different things, so putting this topic in the root makes the most sense.

Honestly, this bickering isn't fair. We are talking about people who actually need help—the reason they even joined this forum—but they can't get that help because of a moderator's rigid obsession. Please, have a shred of common sense and realize this forum exists to help people, not to serve as an ego trip for staff. Thanks.

...and I honestly don't see why anyone felt the need to call that out.

Or are we all just collectively pretending that the inevitable hasn't arrived? It seems we are simply witnessing the predictable outcome of a series of rather questionable decisions.
I suppose we should begin at the beginning, shouldn't we? It seems only logical to establish a baseline before we dive headlong into the complexities ahead. One cannot simply leap into the deep end without first considering the depth of the water—or, in this case, the sheer volume of information we are expected to process. Is it not always the case that the most straightforward starting points are also the most deceptively simple? Let us proceed with caution, then. The doors serve a dual purpose, don't they? Is there anything more predictably tedious than an exit interview? One begins to wonder if these sessions serve any actual purpose beyond providing HR with a tidy little paper trail to justify their existence. Does anyone truly believe that being "candid" about why you’re leaving will result in anything other than a polite nod and a swift dismissal from the building? It feels less like a conversation and more like a ritualistic performance of corporate politeness. Is it possible to be honest without sounding disgruntled, or is that simply not part of the script? Consider the door—specifically that transitional moment when one is standing inside and decides it is high time to head outdoors. One might argue that such an object exists in a state of perpetual duality, functioning as an equal component of both the interior and the exterior. Is it not a curious architectural paradox?

But there is a catch, isn't there? Most of those entry and exit doors actually swing open. Regarding the interior. I shall move this thread to its appropriate subforum... specifically, the one dedicated to entry and exit doors. Interiors. It was a perfectly legitimate decision. 🧐

Perhaps we should consider a title change for this thread at some point. Exit doors. Is there anything more profoundly uninspired? One spends half their life navigating them, yet we rarely pause to consider the sheer, utilitarian monotony of the design. It is the ultimate symbol of transition—moving from one space to another without so much as a second thought. Why do we accept such mundane architecture as a given? It begs the question: if an exit is meant to signify a departure, shouldn't it at least possess a modicum of character? Instead, we are left with nothing but functional, soul-crushing portals that exist solely to facilitate our movement through various buildings. Truly remarkable in its banality. 🤷

What is this now—some kind of philosophical deep dive into 🤣🤣
Should we just move the whole discussion over to the philosophy section then? 🤣

There's no need for the bickering—we're working through the issue... We'll let you know when there's a conclusion. 😁

The front door takes up at least half the interior space 😁

And honestly, this debate about interiors has been going on forever. If others think we should just move the topic over to the residential section—fine by me...

Eric Collins5 said:I’ll say it again—moderators acting like "let's just ban him" is a direct violation of the rules, but having an opinion on how someone decorates their own house? That isn't against the rules.

Just to be crystal clear—since those posts above were taken out of context—granitemarlin77 wasn't banned because of some group effort or anything. It was based on objective reasons already stated. There was never any question about whether he deserved a ban; I just waited too long to pull the trigger since I wasn't at my desk much that day, which let things spiral.
I realized the true level of his communication when he started manufacturing "evidence" to claim he hadn't made a duplicate account—writing this whole manifesto about it—even though proving he did is incredibly simple. Honestly, I don't read a single thing he writes anymore unless it's strictly necessary for moderation.
And why he decided to make my comments about his room such a big deal is beyond me—especially when twenty other people had similar complaints about the setup.

Just a quick reminder—he got banned because he started arguing with his own clone to back himself up. By the time I actually dug into the whole cloning situation and figured out what kind of ban fits that behavior—turns out a week should have done it—he’d already managed to get under everyone's skin in the chat.
