Since my thread got shut down without a single coherent—let alone argued—response, and since you all know I don't deal in empty platitudes or dodging the point, I’m taking this opportunity to call out the blatant double standards and total lack of decency in the Home & Interior subforum.

I also want to ask: why is it perfectly fine for people on that sub to insult, provoke, and belittle
other users? It’s rude, inconsistent, and frankly hypocritical to let certain people get away with it just because they’re mods, or because the mod hangs out with them during their little morning or evening coffee chats. It doesn't matter if they're posting from an attic, a closet, or a living room while they surround themselves with yes-men—people who are given a free pass on every thread just because they love sucking up and repeating the same mindless crap like, "Oh, that's so nice!" or "I wish I had that!" or "Yeah, that looks great," or even "Ugh, that's gross..." and all that other garbage.

Yet, insults and provocations like this where someone calls another user an idiot go unpunished, not to mention this blatant disrespect here, or this instance here, or this onehere where two "ladies" mock everyone else but suddenly lose it when someone critiques their own pathetic attic Christmas setup—even though they feel entitled to make fun of everyone else's stuff, or when they basically thank each other for being assholes here, or this blatant disparagement here.
And so on, and so forth—I could pile up enough examples from various threads to fill a book regarding outright insults, provocation, belittling, trolling, and spamming...

Also, Tyndall, listen up: whether it's in person or online, in war or peace, face-to-face or through a screen, nobody—and I mean nobody—has the right to insult me or my home. There isn't a single user, mod, or admin out there who can insult me or my house without me absolutely tearing them a new one. That's my right, plain and simple—you can look it up in the Constitution under the sanctity of the home, and no one is going to stop me from defending myself.

I'll say it again: nobody has the right to insult me or my home, calling it some "green bakery" nonsense or whatever. Anyone who tries is going to get wrecked by me, I don't care who they are or where they say it. Their title or their badge doesn't mean a damn thing to me.☕

Just a quick reminder—he got banned because he started arguing with his own clone to back himself up. By the time I actually dug into the whole cloning situation and figured out what kind of ban fits that behavior—turns out a week should have done it—he’d already managed to get under everyone's skin in the chat.

This is the ultimate proof of that exact brand of arrogance, double standards, and hypocrisy... stuff I’ve already called out before.

Why didn't you actually bother reading through the threads? You know—all the history leading up to this, the insults, the baiting, the constant mocking of your little "chat crew"......
Let’s be real, you read it. Don't kid yourself. You just chose to ignore it for the reasons I already laid out.

What "crew" are we even talking about here?
The group that spits insults without ever catching a break from the mods? The crowd that belittles, mocks, and tears down everyone else? That same circle you sit around having tea with—mocking people behind their backs, calling them losers or idiots... and treating their homes like some cheap little candy shops?
Who do you think you are, thinking you have the right to insult people and their lives like that?

The group that trolls, spams, and derails every single thread without any consequences.
That pack mentality where one person goes, "Oh my god, that's so cute!" or "Ugh, gross, where did you get that?" and then everyone else jumps in to back them up—all while getting your full support and logistics.

That same clique that thinks they're entitled to bully others just because they share cookies and tea with you.
I don't give a damn about that crowd, and I've told them exactly what's on my mind. If they have half a brain, they got the message.
All I can say to them is this: pay close attention to what was said to you.☕

You're just frustrated because hardly anyone actually liked what you put forward. We handled it quite tactically by letting you know, yet you immediately jumped in with those burner accounts of yours to defend yourself!😉
Of course... that was when things really started getting ridiculous, and then you just moved right on to insulting people and lying...

granitemarlin77 said:And also mellowraven22, look, whether we're talking war or peace, out on the street or just hanging out in this digital world, face-to-face or through a screen, nobody—and I mean absolutely nobody—has the right to disrespect me or my home. There isn't a single person, forum user, mod, or admin... anyone who insults me or my place that I won't absolutely tear apart. I'll go scorched earth on them. It's my basic right, period. Even if you bring up the Constitution and the sanctity of the home, nobody can stop me from defending what's mine.

And I'll say it again: nobody has the right to insult me or my house, calling it some "green bakery" or whatever nonsense. If someone does that, I'm coming for them, no matter who they think they are or where they say it. I don't give a damn about their status or their authority. ☕

Same goes for us, too. We have every right to kick someone off this forum permanently in those cases. Because honestly? We don't care about the "sanctity" of your house.

Get it through your head: you have zero right to disrespect people.

mellowraven22 said:Likewise, we have every right to kick you off this forum for good. We couldn't care less about how sacred your home is.

You really think those little threats are gonna scare me? Like I don't have an absolute, fundamental right to defend myself and my own space from insults and disrespect... Please, don't even go there.
You might not care, but I do—my home is my sanctuary, and I’ll defend it just as fiercely in peace as I would in a war. Nobody gets to insult it or drag it through the mud. Like I said, it's a basic human right—one that's literally protected by the Constitution.
.
I'd think you'd get that, considering you probably have a home too. No matter what it looks like, it's yours, and nobody has the right to disrespect it or you.
mellowraven22 said:Look, you have absolutely zero right to insult people..

Newsflash: I haven't insulted anyone. I haven't called anyone a moron, an idiot, or a loser... that's just not how I talk, and I wasn't born yesterday—unlike the posts being quoted here that the mod completely ignored.

And they didn't just ignore them; the mod actually joined in on multiple threads, basically egging on their little "chat crew" to jump in.And what, I'm supposed to just bow my head and play dumb? Sorry, not happening. I don't care who they are—nobody's ever going to make me sit there and take insults, smear campaigns, provocations, or threats.
I don't insult, I don't smear, and I don't disrespect anyone's home—well, guess what? Nobody's doing it to me or mine either.

People can agree or disagree, they can voice opinions, they can comment... but they don't have the right to mock, belittle, or insult someone, or call their home some "trashy shack." Doesn't matter if it's a mansion, a trailer, or a tiny studio apartment.

No amount of bans or threats is going to stop me from pushing back against insults, regardless of who's throwing them or where they're coming from.
The moderation team needs to step up and actually penalize the insults, smears, and provocations that happened *before* I reacted.
And moving forward, maybe instead of having little social hour meetups with their "crew," they could actually focus on the people being abusive and the issues I was talking about in the first place.☕

granitemarlin77, give me a break
Nobody’s actually impressed by your house, and even if you did manage to snap some decent photos, you really should have expected that not everyone would be showering you with endless praise
If someone looks at what you built and decides they don't like it—and then says exactly that—what are you going to do about it? Are you planning on banning people just because they have an opinion that doesn't stroke your ego?
The truth is, if anyone acted shady or low-class here, it was you, so maybe an honest person would just shut their mouth and take the criticism gracefully
And let's be real, this isn't the first time you've pulled these little stunts, so please, spare us the act where you pretend to be some innocent victim or a saint
You might want to think about how pathetic it looks to have to drag a clone along just to brag about your place, because it says everything anyone needs to know about your character

First off, I don't get angry—that’s just not how I roll. ☕
But look, I'm not about letting people mess with my head or disrespect me. If someone comes at you, your family, or anyone else with insults or provocations... I’d react the exact same way.

And seriously, stop trolling here like you do on every other thread. You're basically the ringleader when it comes to dragging things down, baiting people, spamming, and derailing conversations. Just because I'm not posting on every single topic doesn't mean I'm not watching—trust me, I saw everything you were posting while I was laying low.
If I wanted to, I could drop a mountain of quotes showing exactly how you do this.

Why don't you go post some photos of your house or your holiday decor somewhere else... then we can actually talk. But let's quit the spitting, the insults, the cheap shots, and the constant baiting... and lose those pathetic little emojis you hide behind to mask what you're actually trying to do.☕

Look, don't give me that crap either.
First off, read what happened before I even opened my mouth. I get it—you're sticking up for a buddy—but try being objective for once and actually look at the facts.
Check the thread history and see how people were acting—jumping into private chats just to troll, spit venom, and throw insults...

If a mod like Eve calls my place a "green bakery," that's an insult. Period. And if they're egging everyone else on to do the same? That's crossing a line.
Quote:
hollowtrucker77 says:
[I]Nobody insulted your house. If you're gonna post pics, you gotta accept that not everyone is gonna love them.
I said that right when I posted the photo. I'm not looking for a standing ovation, and frankly, I don't care if people dig it or not. But nobody gets a free pass to be insulting, and nobody gets to call me an idiot. No way.
hollowtrucker77 said:So someone doesn't like what you made and they said it. What's your problem with that??

That’s fine, and that’s not even the point—which I’ve already said plenty of times here. I'm not playing games, and I don't need your sympathy or any of that other garbage you're hinting at.
Whether I like something or not is one thing, but calling it a "green bakery," a dump, or an idiot's work? No. Nobody has the right to do that—not a mod, not an admin, not some random user. It doesn't matter who they are.
You could post a picture of your living room or your bathroom... I might tell you, "Hey, I wouldn't do it that way," or "Maybe try this instead..." but I sure as hell won't call it a trash heap or a joke, and I won't encourage others to join in. That's straight-up disrespect and provocation.
If you have even half a brain, you'll see why that shouldn't be okay. Nobody gets to talk to people like that—even if they're living in a cardboard box or a van on the street.
Hope you get the difference now.☕

Personally, I’d say they’re well within their rights, because honestly, I have just as much right to claim a car looks like a literal box, or that a house looks like some fortified bunker or a cheap motel, or even that a coat looks like a glorified potato sack...

Nobody gets to disrespect it or trash it or whatever. Like I said, it's a basic human right, and honestly, it's practically written into the Constitution.

Great. Seriously. If you're so protective about people disrespecting your space, maybe don't post pictures of it online in the first place? People are free to say a bedroom looks like a Barbie Dreamhouse, or a living room looks like Conan’s bathroom, or a kitchen looks like a candy shop. Once you put those photos on the internet, you've basically signed off on it. It's too late now, though. You just gotta deal with it.

I haven't insulted anyone. I haven't called anyone a fool, an idiot, or a loser... that's just not how I communicate. And I haven't been hanging around here forever, unlike those posts being quoted that the mod totally ignored.

Yeah, sure. You were just pushing everyone's buttons. That's your whole style.

I don't insult anyone, I don't disparage anyone, and I don't disrespect anyone's home. So nobody is going to disrespect me or mine.

Yeah, they will. And they should. There isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

Since when does posting home photos in a thread specifically designed for them mean you're asking to be mocked, trashed, or provoked? Is that how this works now?.....
mellowraven22 said:Look, everyone’s free to say someone's bedroom looks like a Barbie Dreamhouse, their living room looks like Conan’s bathroom, or their kitchen looks like a candy shop. Once you put those photos on the internet, you signed up for it. Too bad—deal with it.

I made it crystal clear from the jump that I was posting photos—said it multiple times, too. So, honestly? I don't give a damn.
Everyone has a right to an opinion, sure, but nobody has the right to be abusive, provocative, or insulting—and even less right to egg everyone else on to do the same. That's just not how it works.
mellowraven22 said:Yeah, you were just trying to piss everyone off. That's just your style of talking, isn't it?

This is a post-party reaction—after the insults kept flying and the mods didn't stop them, but instead basically joined in. If you actually bother to look, you'll see exactly where and when I stated my position.☕

mellowraven22 said:Yeah, they can, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I can and I will. Like I said, it's my right—just like it should be yours to defend yourself against insults, rather than fueling the fire with your own behavior and posts......☕

The thread title is...Drop some pics of your apartments, your furniture, whatever little home decor stuff you've got lying around. Let's see it....not some excuse to start insulting people, baiting them, dragging their names through the mud, or calling everyone an idiot...
If I actually wanted advice or an opinion—which I don't—I would've just posted pics of my house in the decor thread.Need some home decor advice? Lay it on me. What are we talking about—remodeling a whole kitchen or just trying to make a cramped studio apartment look less like a college dorm? Give me the details...coffee:

granitemarlin77 said:Why even bother posting photos of your home on a thread meant for that if you're just looking to insult people, belittle them, provoke them, or spit on them?.....

Yeah, exactly. Like, nobody can call you an idiot, but they totally can say "your house is laid out like a pigsty, it's ugly and filthy." Seriously though, if you only want positive vibes, don't even bother putting your stuff online.

Look, I made my stance clear when I posted the photo, I've said it plenty of times. Honestly, I don't give a damn about it.

See, you could've just said you wanted everyone to tell you you're the next Jesus of interior design, and we could've just ignored that too. You don't get to set rules for the users or the mods. That's strictly our job as admins.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, but nobody has the right to insult, provoke, or belittle others, or egg them on to do the same. They just don't have that right.

Insulting a person? No. Insulting someone's stuff? Oh yeah, absolutely.

I can and I should, because like I said, it's my right—just like it's yours, or at least it ought to be—to defend myself from insults instead of encouraging them by how I act and write...☕[

Man, you really just trying to argue for the sake of arguing? I already told you, it's allowed. It's part of the forum policy. If you think you can live with that, then fine. If you don't like it, well, there are plenty of other forums on the web.

😳

It feels a bit hypocritical to me. You have Clones, stay away from me! sitting right there under your avatar, yet here you are, basically creating a Clone of yourself just to give yourself a pat on the back.

And look, you aren't wrong. What the mods wrote about you flies right in the face of the forum rules, and frankly, it isn't classy. But, seeing as I've read your political rants—and considering we are ideological enemies on both sides of the aisle—I actually want to see more of this kind of chaos happen to you.

🙂😠

😂

Furthermore, you’re over here lecturing people about being uncivilized when your own signature features the word shit.

Your house is your castle. You have every right to decorate it however you please, but you can't dodge criticism once you put it out there for the world to see.

I was actually shaking with laughter at your very first post. It hit me how much it stung you—getting offended by some stranger you don't know and will never meet.

I even took a look at those photos of your house, and I can tell you right now: I meant what I said back in that thread where we were all tearing you apart 😳.

The bathroom looks nice enough, but my goodness, the color of those dining room chairs? Good grief. They look like those bright yellow, blue, and orange synthetic socks that were everywhere in the States back in the eighties.

😳

Nobody has the right to call you an idiot, sure, but if you're acting like one right here, then it's perfectly fair for someone to tell you that you're acting like a fool.
It's just basic logic; if you decorated your house to look like a neon-green candy shop, people are going to tell you it looks like a green candy shop.
If you can't wrap your head around that and you just want to keep pushing your agenda, go ahead, keep doing it, and the site moderators will step in and handle their business when they need to.

granitemarlin77 said:I’m honestly just glad you caught onto that too. It really is quite something when the pieces finally start to fall into place like that.
Listen, let me get this straight. Whatever my political leanings are, what I believe about my country, my faith, or any other part of my identity—that doesn't give anyone the right to come at me. It gives nobody the license to insult me, smear my character, or go out of their way to provoke me. And more importantly, it certainly doesn't give them the right to egg others on to do the same. Respect is a two-way street, plain and simple.
My reaction? Well, it’s really just a direct consequence of everything that came before it. It's all connected, you see. One thing leads to another, and suddenly here we are.☕

😠😠😠

I am not a woman.

Look, granitemarlin77, let’s get one thing straight right now—I didn't call your house my home. Not even close. A synthetic sock from the eighties. Honestly, just thinking about them gives me a bit of a sensory flashback. I remember back in the mid-80s, my brother used to swear by these neon-colored, polyester blends that felt like wearing pure plastic on your feet. They were absolutely terrible for breathing, though. Purely synthetic. If you wore those during a summer hike out near the Grand Canyon, your feet would be sweating buckets within minutes. It’s funny how we thought that stuff was "high tech" back then. Now? I wouldn't touch a pair of those old-school synthetics with a ten-foot pole. Give me good, heavy American cotton any day of the week....it’s more about the color of the chairs.

I’ll say it again for those not paying attention: calling for mods to be banned or acting like a total jerk toward them—stuff like "just ban him already"—is a direct violation of our community guidelines. It’s disrespectful. However, having an opinion on how someone chooses to decorate their own house? That’s perfectly fine. You can talk about aesthetics all day long if you want to. I once spent three hours debating whether a mid-century modern chair belonged in my living room, and nobody told me I was breaking the rules for having a preference! Personal taste isn't against the rules.

You're absolutely right—it’s plain rude. Honestly, I could never bring myself to type something like that to anyone. But the thing is, you can't exactly legislate against being a jerk. People will be uncivilized if they feel like it.

If we’re going to split hairs over every little detail, then I have to say it: your signature is just plain crude and lacks any sense of decorum.

Hey there. Greetings.

I’m not gonna repeat myself. I already spelled things out for you, so there's really no point in wasting more breath.

Look, we’ve got the "photos of your home..." thread and we’ve got the "decorating advice" thread. If the mods feel like they need a third one specifically titled "photos of your home... where we trash, mock, insult, and provoke you," then go ahead and open it. Be my guest.☕
