So what?

Fine, Christians killed people and fought wars. Let's bring this back to the present day, shall we? What does that have to do with the fact that in 2015, we have people ready to blow themselves up and take innocent lives in the name of Allah? People weren't doing this stuff even 1,000 years ago.

Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but every terrorist is a Muslim.

ruggedjackal46 said:So, the Crusaders were "fake" Christians, while these guys are the "real" Muslims? What exactly are you basing that conclusion on? And why on earth do you assume that material interests aren't also lurking beneath the surface of this current chaos?

To me, trying to justify violence by waving around some two-thousand-year-old book is either pure insanity or blatant manipulation.

I honestly don't get what part of boldfox88's point is tripping you up. Look—a Christian fighting (whether for money or whatever other motive)—they do it to make their life better here on Earth. Most Islamic attacks boil down to suicide bombers who genuinely believe they're heading straight to Allah after that "sacred" act. Bottom line? They're gone. They didn't do it for millions, or even a hundred million of anything. They did it in the name of God. That's just a fact.

Honestly, the best part about all this is seeing how they’re willing to team up with the absolute worst elements just to get back into power. It’s probably following that same playbook where some foreign queen decided to side with a rogue warlord just to screw over our administration 🐔

Look, I’m not saying anything definitive. It just feels like the post makes Zoran Milanović look like this self-absorbed jerk who "loves picking fights with everyone around him," while his main rival, Tomislav Karamarković, is basically just a bore 🤣 First off, arrogance is pretty much half of Milanović's entire persona—it's baked into everything he does. Second, he actually ended up being useful during this current crisis because the folks aligned with the MAGA crowd and those old-school extremists just don't speak the same language. And honestly? If being boring was Karamarković's only flaw, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I'm still sitting here waiting for the Democrats to actually react to everything coming out of Canada and Mexico and finally show some of that unity they've been bragging about since day one. 🍿

Larry Fox5 said:Zoki is just an arrogant jerk. He’s managed to alienate basically everyone around him—it's impressive, really. All those years spent in diplomacy don't mean a thing when you're naturally this crude and stuck-up. Honestly, he might even win the next election because people around here always fall for that type... plus, on the other hand, you've got that soul-crushingly boring Tomislav Karamarko. Choosing between them is like picking between the plague and cholera.

Good grief... 🤦

He keeps picking fights with people in Mexico and Canada who are basically working together against us—meanwhile, they're busy building walls and putting guards with rifles at our borders, all while calling our nation some kind of successor to Nazi Germany. Wow. What a massive waste of talent this whole group is. Honestly, how pathetic is Tomislav Karamarković and our entire political scene? It really shows how much they only care about clinging to power when you look at this total lack of reaction to what's coming from Mexico City. And get this—this is coming from the absolute hardline, ultra-nationalist administration we democratically elected back in 2015. I guess it's better to just shut up and take the insults to our country, because if you actually react, you might accidentally support Zoran Milanović. Might as well just let everyone go down in flames together.

Walter Grant5 said:And besides, Dežulović never even leaned into that whole national identity thing.

One afternoon, he hit the nail on the head. He wrote something about how he doesn't feel any emotional tie to the American state machine (or whatever other government you look at). It was like he was reading my mind, pulling out sentences I hadn't even put together yet. Because that's how I've always felt. Simple as that. I just don't like the hyper-nationalistic vibe where being a patriot becomes this mental cage. I don't need that crap. Look, let's be clear: I love where I live. I love the people—even if they're a mess sometimes—and I love the language and the culture. I appreciate everything I’ve been lucky enough to have here that I wouldn't have elsewhere. But I can't stand the obsession with nationalism, that narrow worldview that shuts out anyone not obsessed with it. I hate how the church gets tied up in politics, or how God is used as a tool for national identity. I hate the idea that I should feel superior just because I'm... American. I don't need that. I wouldn't need it if I were British, Chinese, Iranian, or anything else. I don't think I'm better just because I have access to our coast; I just want to enjoy the fact that I can drive five minutes to a beach and just chill.

It's straightforward. The more you obsess over patriotism, war, and national pride, the less you'll identify with that mindset. Personally, I'd much rather just be a guy from the States than a "Patriot." I get nothing out of those labels, and it's not like we're fighting for some grand cause that makes me proud.

Sorry if anyone's feelings got hurt by that.

But seriously, who actually gives a damn? It’s completely irrelevant. Everyone has their nationalists and their cosmopolitans—conservatives vs. liberals, Republicans vs. Democrats. In this country, the elites still love nothing more than splitting the population based on political wars that started decades ago, then layering current issues on top like marriage equality stuff, all just to keep the two-party system alive. The only actual divide that matters here is between the people actually funding the treasury and the ones sucking it dry. That horde of parasites on both sides has become unbearable—we're talking millions of them harassing the rest of the country. People try to frame tax debt in a negative light during these debates, but man, tax debt should basically be the metric for how "patriotic" these people are. Every American who actually cares about keeping this country afloat should probably be looking for ways to pay as little as possible—because nobody wants to end up in federal prison, right? Like, if you're heading to Vegas, just fill up your tank without thinking too hard. Those vultures won't stop until they've bled everything dry and shut down every single productive business in the States. To be clear, I’m not talking about the police, firefighters, doctors, teachers, etc.—I know who I'm talking about. Unfortunately, the rest of the country is mostly just clueless and easily manipulated by these divisions the parasite class uses. They just pick a side, and in the end, nothing ever changes. We yell at the top guys in D.C., but they’re really just the most prominent faces of a massive machine of cronies. So, yeah... let's see how fast the bankruptcy and reset happen. 👍

No, really, the only thing that truly matters here is Dežulović. Is there anything more tiresome than the endless drone of those self-righteous communists? And, by extension, everything they touch seems to turn to ash, doesn't it? It’s as if their very presence guarantees that nothing will work quite right.

Good grief.

Robin Fox2 said:What am I even supposed to say at this point? Samsung claimed they were struggling just to catch the ball, whereas my take was that I was both throwing and catching without any real trouble—nothing more, nothing less. Then ZZ chimed in with, "You're talking nonsense, that's hard." So, here is my rebuttal to ZZ's assertion—that it’s impossible for us to have been passing the ball back and forth, or that I'm lying, or that I imagined the whole thing because you supposedly need to be an elite athlete to complete a pass with this ball at X meters... the reality is that when we were "passing," we were actually just tossing it wildly everywhere and nobody was actually catching it; it was just dropping. I mean, something has to be true, because it's physically impossible for someone who isn't a pro athlete to throw an American football 20 yards accurately into someone's hands, and I distinctly remember us messing around with that ball. I didn't imagine it, and I have no reason to lie (well, maybe I do, but let's assume for the sake of this story that I don't)... which would obviously mean I'm some kind of undiscovered football prodigy, along with everyone else who was tossing that ball around back then.

To draw a parallel to the tennis comparison you made, if someone came up to you tomorrow and claimed you couldn't hit a ball over the net, you'd tell them to get lost... which doesn't mean you'd hit it better, faster, or harder than Roger Federer, it just means anyone with even a shred of athletic ability can do the same thing.

Yeah, that's about like me saying I know how to clear a tennis net, or that I can juggle a soccer ball 100 times. Seriously, it's that stupid.

So what's even the point of your observation? 🤣 That it's easier to handle an egg than a round ball? Is that it?

If that's the case, you probably shouldn't be posting about how one corner kick is worth more than 100 passes (man, football...), or how any average athlete could play it, because these posts just sound like constant condescension. 🤷

Robin Fox2 said:If you aren't interested, why bother commenting at all? You might want to actually catch up on the thread first—read the exchange between me and Samsung, which was perfectly civil until Zillow decided to jump in, and now you... It’s quite bold to barge into the middle of a debate, claiming you have no idea what we’re even talking about, only to critique things that weren't even said. Rather than just posting nonsense, try reading the context so you don't end up making ridiculous claims that I've clearly never made, such as saying football is the easiest sport on earth or that I could play it professionally without breaking a sweat...

And yes, I did state that I am the greatest football prodigy to ever live because my ball handling skills are simply unmatched, truly 👋 😂

So, I went back to the start of this thread. Aside from the fact that you have one decent point that I won't rub in your face (☕), your whole thing starts with "my friend brought the ball," and from that moment on, you do nothing but ramble on about how easy it is to control or throw an egg. Then you wrap it up with "either average athletes can play this or you guys are football geniuses"—what exactly are you implying there? Honestly, I don't get it, so walk me through what you meant by that?

Robin Fox2 said:Go jump in a lake, you absolute troll...
just go back and find my first post regarding passing, which was a response to steelharbor9 specifically about ball distribution... which, as I noted myself, doesn't negate the fact that everything turns into a heavy mass sprinting toward you while defenders try to take you down... 🙏 🤣

No, he's just charging in blindly because he saw me mention football and because I wasn't busy showering the sport with endless praise... 🤣

Forget football, apparently it's suddenly become the most difficult sport in history requiring some sort of superhuman genius to participate... I'd wager Messi's strike from a free kick last week, or a perfectly weighted pass to Ronaldo from fifty yards out, or even Zidane's volley holds more value than every single pass ever made in American football combined... 🤣

Maybe just turn off your notifications when we discuss football, or better yet, let's just stop altogether, since everyone seems so incredibly agitated...

Edit: any sport can be played by mediocre athletes, but being a true genius in soccer requires significantly more than being a genius in football, handball, water polo, basketball, or any other sport where a "ball" is controlled by hand...

I'm not scrolling back a single page, let alone hunting for your first post. Did you write somewhere that you're a football prodigy and the greatest talent since the dawn of time just because you five were arguing? Yep. You did. Facepalm.

I couldn't care less about football. I just love calling out people who don't know what they're talking about—but hey, that's nothing restlesssurfer97 hasn't already figured out.

Just so you guys understand the level of stupidity on display here: I don't like tennis. It's boring. I can watch it until it hits "30-all." By that logic, I should go over to Reddit and explain to them why their sport sucks just because I find it dull. And man, when I was 17, I used to hit the ball over the net all the time. Get it? They spend their entire lives learning how to throw it back over that net. And always into the same field. Wow. Pure spectacle right there.🙏

Alright, now try explaining to me what's "more valuable" in soccer, acting like I've never watched a single game. There are tons of better things in soccer. In football, I value seeing a guy get leveled by two giants and pop right back up a second later because he's too proud to stay down—unlike those soft players who trip over the 16-yard line. Or when someone hits the wall ninety times and then finally scores, making the whole Dallas Cowboys stadium jump out of their seats.🙂

Robin Fox2 said:Well, I seem to have convinced myself that we could pass that damn soccer ball around without breaking a sweat back when we were seventeen or eighteen... though I suppose you two know better than anyone...

So what?

He catches that egg, and within seconds, he’s gotta find an open man while simultaneously sensing the pressure—because you've got hundreds of people trying to crush him. And yeah, if he actually pulls that off, he still has to hit his target dead-on.

Maybe this is the ultimate combo of athleticism, technique, and IQ—and you're turning it into some amateur hour hobby just because you guys were passing eggs around at 17. Give me a break. 🙏

Amanda Evans2 said:Aside from the fact that these points don't really have anything to do with one another...

it’s actually pretty similar. You’ve got this mess brewing on someone else's turf, and now everyone thinks Russia is the center of the universe just because there are five Russians involved. And they blame Putin for carving up Crimea—which he only did for some other strategic reasons anyway—but honestly? He doesn't give a damn about territory for territory's sake. It's more about the bigger picture. But then, suddenly, the domestic separatists get a taste of power and start wanting the whole thing. I don't follow all the nuances, but if you ask me, we're looking at a predictable script: once the pressure gets too high, Putin will just cut them loose, and then it'll be a total mad dash through Moscow. 😁

bluewalker92 said:It’s honestly depressing watching all these wannabe ultras parrot Mamić's rhetoric—throwing out statements and praise for San Francisco just to feed this narrative. They're working right alongside paid media to make it look like San Francisco is part of the match-fixing and corruption scandals, all just to stir up drama between fanbases... and that’s exactly what Mamić wants, especially with how he "hands out" players... Miško looks at this through a purely capitalist lens—just another honest day at the office. It’s like if most of us saw a BMW for five bucks tomorrow; we wouldn't even stop to look at the bigger picture. But now, when there's talk about a rigged Cup—which, let's be real, sounds like it came straight from Mamić's inner circle—everyone loses their minds and starts citing it as proof. People actually end up believing Zdravko and his media puppets. Hell, for the big ultra groups, those statements from the gravediggers of American football become gospel. What's next? Are we going to swallow the lie that the Bad Boys are secretly backed by the Democrats, or that the guys from the East are run by agents while the North boys are driven by pure ideals? Just more lies.

Sure, but what about the fact that Miško was the one who pulled the trigger on shutting down the top-tier association? Or how those gambling addicts and his branded monstrosity were immediately hand-picked by him? And don't forget he's one of the five most compliant guys on some newly formed HNS emergency committee that doesn't need anyone's approval to push through decisions.

If we're supposed to make excuses for a psychopath's outbursts, then facts shouldn't be up for debate.

People are coming for you because calling out the "HNS creeps" feels fake as long as Miško is standing right there among them, being treated like a god. I used to buy into the whole "it's just business" excuse myself, but after he started claiming Dinamo is the gold standard and that he learned from the best, everything became crystal clear. The only reason he isn't stepping up to defend Mamić publicly right now is because he knows you all hate him—but honestly? I think it's just a matter of time.

p.s. You really think all those players were clueless?
