Alright, I've got a problem. My desktop gets incredibly sluggish right when it hits the desktop on >. Once it loads, the screen starts flickering—everything looks fine for a second, then it just freezes, the screen goes black, and then pops back up. Eventually, I get an error window popping up saying "*nvidia kernel mode*". I already tried a clean install of the Nvidia drivers by wiping everything out first, but that did nothing. I even nuked the OS and did a fresh installation of Windows, but still no luck.
Here's the specs:
>
ASRock N68C-UCC
>
2 GB DDR2 RAM
80 GB HDD
If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.
Alright, here’s the situation. About a year and a half ago, I deleted my old email address and switched to a new one. Since that old email is gone, I'm locked out of my Xbox account. I know the username and the password, but I can't get past the login because it keeps asking for a verification code sent to that dead email. Like I said, the email is completely wiped. Is there any other way to move the whole account over to a different contact email?
Thanks in advance
Larry Ortiz5 said:It depends on where you built the rig—on carpet, tile, or wood. You need to be on the same electrical level. Be careful there.
Maybe you messed up during the build, or the motherboard is just dead. There are plenty of variables, but you'll likely need a new board. In 99% of cases, the CPU doesn't fail or arrive DOA.
Built it in my own room and followed everything to a T. Bought the processor used (only a month old because some guy got a job and upgraded to an i3, so he didn't need this anymore)—barely used. I have all the paperwork showing a 36-month warranty, plus the motherboard and case have 24-month warranties. No clue what the repair center will say though, since I don't even know how to explain the issue...

English manual, page 27.
Are the power button, reset button, etc., hooked up according to the diagram?
Everything is connected right. If it wasn't, I'd say so... plus, the repair shop confirmed everything is wired correctly.

Then they handed it back to you like nothing happened, and now you're hitting up a forum for answers? I don't get it. Honestly, the only way I can help is if you grab a different motherboard to test it out, just to see if the thing actually boots...
It's still at the repair shop. They'll try to fix it, but they told me not to hold my breath. :P
Is it possible the CPU is dead, or the motherboard, or there's just zero power getting through?
So I picked up a new ASUS ROG Maximus, an Intel Core i3-4130, and a fresh case.
Now there's a problem.
I hooked everything up to the case exactly how it should be—WD Blue 600GB HDD, motherboard, CPU, and a cheap MicroStation power supply (plan on swapping it for a Thermaltake soon)—but the rig is dead.
It won't even turn on. No fans spinning, nothing. It just won't boot.
Took it to a repair shop and they tried a different PSU, but still nothing. They aren't sure what's wrong; they mentioned it might be the board or maybe I accidentally bent a CPU pin, though they don't think that's it.
The thing just won't fire up. I get a green light on the motherboard, but that's it. Total silence.
Help me out, please.
