Locked out of my Xbox account (no access to email)

Alright, here’s the situation. About a year and a half ago, I deleted my old email address and switched to a new one. Since that old email is gone, I'm locked out of my Xbox account. I know the username and the password, but I can't get past the login because it keeps asking for a verification code sent to that dead email. Like I said, the email is completely wiped. Is there any other way to move the whole account over to a different contact email?

Yeah, you can do it, but you're going to have to reach out to Microsoft support
They'll basically grill you until you prove the account actually belongs to you
Think things like photos of original game discs or those old-school CD keys
Once they're satisfied that the
is legitimately yours, they'll shoot you a special code via email so you can link a new address to it
