What exactly do I need to get two PCs connected?

I don't really have any other options here—the router is tucked away in a corner upstairs, and my room is on the ground floor, also tucked into a corner on the opposite side of the house. Basically, Wi-Fi is out of the question.

Anyway, there's a mosquito by the window. I never leave my bedroom door open, so there's probably more than one lurking. I have a cat, but well... she can't hide everywhere, haha.

Well, I did—and you know how. Using that gadget that looks more like a battery-powered tennis racket than a tool; just hit it with a surge of electricity. 🙂 I took care of it immediately, though I’ll admit I got a bit spooked when I flipped the light on and saw it "scurrying" across the wall. ^^ Now I'm actually worried there might be more of them lurking around...

It started out small, but then it began scouting—like some kind of local American Skorpion, maybe 2 to 3 inches long...

Clearly, the trap was a bust. I'll clear everything out of the room later, and for any other gaps—like under the dresser or where the wall meets the cabinet—I'll just seal them up with some tape, peel a corner back, spray a bit of Raid, and seal it tight. 🙂

Is there anything besides a raid available to deal with this scorpion problem? Maybe some kind of trap... I don't know, something effective...
