GPU Buying Guide - (Read first post) in Desktops ·
I searched on Newegg, but I couldn't find anything... 🙏
What do you all think? Is it possible to find something slightly better for this amount of money?
I am currently torn between the Nvidia 8800 gts and that Radeon card...

I am looking for a PCI-E card. My power supply is rated at 400W, and I am running at a resolution of 1366x768, aiming for roughly 200-$83.

What are your thoughts on this particular option? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Radeon-X1950...item3a7b5f4eef

Thank you for the response. That was precisely the information I was looking for...🙂

I have a simple question. I am looking for a graphics card capable of running modern games; I am not necessarily aiming for ultra settings, just something reliable and decent for smooth gameplay. My budget for a used card is up to $100.
Intel Celeron E3400 performance thoughts? in Desktops ·
Thanks 🙂 I just checked my Task Manager, and it looks like they're pulling about 950 MB of RAM. That’s nearly half my capacity, so I suspect that might be the primary reason things feel so sluggish. It isn't quite taking a full minute to launch anything, but there is definitely some noticeable stuttering along the way. Should I consider picking up another 2 GB...

I am curious to know whether a 32-bit or a 64-bit version of Windows 7 would perform more effectively on this specific processor?

It might have been more beneficial to devote your time to studying grammar and orthography rather than focusing solely on Microsoft Visio... 😉

Please forgive me for having a C in my American English course... 🙂

If I am currently 16 years old.
Assuming I have spent at least two hours on the computer every single day since the age of four, the calculation might look something like this:

If I started at age four, that means I have been using a computer for at least two hours daily since I was twelve. Given that a year consists of 365 days, we have 365 multiplied by 12, which equals 4,380 days.
From those 4,380 days, we should subtract approximately 30 days to account for repairs or periods when I was away from my desk. That leaves us with 4,350 days.🙂
Now, we must convert those days into hours:
4,380 multiplied by 24
That brings us to 104,400 hours!
Now... if I have spent a minimum of two hours per day on the computer, I am unsure how to proceed with the next step of the calculation... Could someone perhaps assist me with the remaining math? :O

I am posting this simply out of pure curiosity...
Razer Abyssus review: Is it still worth it? in Computer Peripherals ·
I suppose I was correct... it does react faster... though the distinction lies in just a few milliseconds... 😁

Polling rate Response time
125 Hz 8 ms
250 Hz 4 ms
500 Hz 2 ms
1000 Hz 1 ms

What exactly does that mean... USB polling rate? I did a bit of searching online, but I'm still a little lost... Is it just about how much faster the device reacts?

So... my mouse has these switches for DPI and something regarding Hertz...
I am curious about what the Hertz setting actually refers to... and I was also wondering... if it is possible to set a custom DPI value... specifically, I would prefer to set it at 800.
The current options available on my switch are 450, 1800, and 3500.

Does anyone happen to know how to resolve an issue I am having with Firefox on Windows 7? Specifically, whenever I attempt to access Facebook through the browser, the home page flashes momentarily and then immediately disappears. I have already tried reinstalling the software, but the problem persists... If anyone has encountered a similar situation, I would be most grateful if you could suggest a solution 😁

I am eagerly awaiting its arrival here in the States, though I am unsure if it has already hit the shelves. Does anyone have any information? This mouse is truly EXCEPTIONAL... and the price point is quite reasonable...

It is approximately $60...
My question remains: when will it be available, or is it perhaps already in stock in the US?

The Logitech G502 is actually quite a solid choice... I was wondering, what is the best way to go about ordering a mouse? Which retailers or companies would you recommend using...
Mouse is dying/broken in Computer Peripherals ·
Alright... what kind of budget are we looking at? And where exactly can I order or pick one up?.. I really ought to get some input from a lefty who uses a slightly higher-end mouse. I need something that actually feels right in my hand.
