So my mail carrier swung by today with a package and actually charged me $1.75 on the spot.. Apparently, the USPS is reverting to the old ways because they decided doorstep delivery was an "impossible mission" when people were already paying for it. People were losing their minds because they paid for premium shipping and still didn't get their stuff at the door.. So yeah, don't be shocked when they start asking you for $1.75 just to pick up a package at your own house again...
I'm just curious though, what's the standard markup at the post office these days for shipping a single package?
You’ve still got plenty of time ahead of you... I’ve been sitting here waiting on mine for three weeks now😁... at this rate, it probably took a cross-country road trip in a beat-up van😂😂
Usually, you just send stuff via certified mail... though you can always opt for those premium delivery windows—like same-day service or getting it there by noon tomorrow—but let's be real, you're paying a massive markup for that convenience.
Too true.. sometimes they’ll drop off small stuff right at your door (like one of those thin envelopes).. but when it comes to actual packages, they won't even bother leaving them. Instead, they just leave a slip of paper behind... because they weren't actually carrying the package themselves; they were just supposed to send a delivery van over later.🙂
From what I can gather, you’ve got a five-day window to pick up your package. At least, that’s what my USPS slip says... logically speaking, if you miss it, the whole thing just gets sent back to the sender. 🤷

Maybe someone who actually works at the post office can jump in here and clear this up for me.
Look, if you don't pay for home delivery, the mail carrier just leaves one of those yellow slips in your box, and then you have to trek down to the local post office to pick up your package yourself.🙂
Just toss in another couple of bucks and you'll cover the shipping costs $6.75😉
They’ll ask you... at least they did with me, asking how I wanted my stuff shipped😉
Yeah, the same day that yellow slip showed up, and signed and sealed on the very same day... he certainly made himself at home waiting by the mailbox.😁
So, get this... I head over to the local Post Office to pick up a package because my mail carrier left one of those little yellow slips on my door. I get to the counter, and the clerk tells me I owe her 70 cents. It’s not even real money, but I honestly have no clue what she’s actually charging me for—it's not like I had the chance to ask. I just dropped off the $0.33 and bolted. People in line were already losing their minds, though.
Seriously, massive props on such an exhaustive report 👍
Alright, so I see rosemary essential oil is supposedly great for massage, so I’m thinking about picking some up... Is the stuff from CVS actually any good, or should I be heading to a specialized apothecary instead?
So, I’ve been taking 400 mg Trental tablets for circulation on my doctor's orders. My circulation gets absolutely trashed during the winter—I deal with some pretty severe issues with my fingers, and we're talking high-level stuff here🙄(and this is while living in San Francisco, where the weather is actually decent). As long as I stick to the prescribed dose of twice a day, things improve significantly. My fingers aren't swollen anymore and they don't look like they've been scorched, though they still have that reddish tint (which looks way better than the alternative, at least)😁...The only catch is they’re pricey. They run me about $50 per box, and the whole thing only lasts for 10 days...
