Period issues/troubles
in Health ·
Look, you’re likely dealing with endometrial hyperplasia. Basically, it means your uterine lining has thickened up. Usually, that lining sheds once a month, but since yours is thicker than it should be, the bleeding ends up being way heavier and lasting much longer than normal.
That lining grows because of estrogen levels coming from the ovaries, which is why I started suspecting there might be some kind of hormonal imbalance or issue with your ovaries.
Do you have any history of liver issues, or maybe anything going on with your adrenal glands?
If your ovaries and uterus both come back clean, then we really need to start looking elsewhere for what's causing that thickening.
Ask your doctor specifically how thick the uterine lining actually is.
Either way, you need to get back to the gynecologist for another exam.
