The Avengers (2003) in Movies ·
So, did anyone else catch this? I popped it on my DVD earlier today and honestly, the movie was actually pretty charming—like, seriously fun to watch...

Anyone else here still watching stuff?
could, should, ought to ^^

but even if I agree, you just HAVE to see movies like that in a theater... honestly, there’s nothing quite like it...

even now, when I'm watching a DVD on the best surround sound system money can buy, I still find myself saying, "Man, this was absolutely insane in the cinema"
Anyone seen Darren Aronofsky's Pi (1998)? in Movies ·
if it’s as basic and predictable as something the average Joe would find entertaining, then I think I’ll pass on watching it altogether ^^

Look, I’m definitely not one of those types, and if you’re actually hoping for some decent discussion after a screening, then yeah, count me in... though I don't really feel like starting a whole new thread or anything—just as a side note, what I'm actually dying to see is LOTR.🙏

The Matrix Revolutions is evil

I mean, I feel like you really ought to watch them before passing judgment... personally, I’m planning on checking them out first and then I'll give my two cents... as far as the first movie goes, I don't think I even need to waste my breath, but maybe people just expected too much from the second one? Like, they were looking for something revolutionary in terms of the plot that just wasn't really possible because the first film went so deep into the lore. I guess I don't actually think the second part is terrible, it just has a few little things that probably could have been handled a bit better...

So, for instance—and this might not be a perfect comparison—but I watched The Animatrix recently and I gotta say, it was totally legendary (and honestly gives you a way more complete picture of how the Matrix world works)...
