I was thinking about this today while watching some old highlights. We always talk about the physical stats—the running distance, the sprint speeds, the muscle recovery—but I don't think we ever give enough credit to the mental toll of being sidelined for a year or more.

When you're an athlete, your entire identity is tied to being on that pitch. Imagine spending fourteen months watching from the sidelines, doing rehab drills in an empty gym while everyone else is out there competing for glory. I had a buddy who went down with a bad knee back in college, and even after he was cleared to play, he looked like a different person. The confidence just isn't the same right of the jump.

It's one thing to get back to training; it's a whole different beast to get back to that elite, instinctive level of play where you don't have to think about your body before you make a move.

Do you think it's harder for the players to get their rhythm back, or is it more about the psychological hurdle of trusting their body again?
I won't ramble on too much here... I have to say, I'm totally with what Tiamatin posted (seriously, nice work on that one👍 )... It feels so Kool that we only have to wait a few more days for Revolutions. While the first one can't really be topped, I have this feeling it might be another absolute classic😉
I truly, truly hope it lives up to the hype for all of us who loved the first movie🙂
The Man Who Wasn't There in Movies ·
Roger Deakins is a god👍
Does anyone else remember "Barton Fink"?..that movie really wrecked me, and Deakins was just
the one who started working with the brothers as a cinematographer after that film...

Not many people around here saw "Barton Fink" because it's kind of hard to wrap your head around...but I'd highly recommend it😎

Anyway, do you guys prefer their movies like "Arizona Rising", "Big L."
"O Brother, Where Art Thou?"..or stuff like "Blood Simple", "Miller's Crossing", "Barton Fink",
"Fargo", or "The Man Who Wasn't There"?

The Coen brothers are Kool

New York City is so cool...
It’s a total dream for movie buffs... you're spot on, Jacob Flores76...
...the first time I was in New York City, I ended up at a theater watching Wild at Heart just two hours after arriving.
