Eating right for a better life in Health ·
Every single nutritionist I have consulted insisted that bread MUST remain a staple in my diet!!!
Eating right for a better life in Health ·
I embarked on my journey to study healthy eating habits about a year ago. Now, I am fighting anorexia nervosa. Eating healthily means consuming everything in moderation—don't overindulge, space out your meals, and for heaven's sake, EAT carbohydrates! They are the fuel for your body, much like how a car requires gasoline. Overeating single large meals prevents those necessary snacks that keep your metabolism firing.
I once completely cut out carbohydrates—potatoes were a huge mistake too! I limited myself strictly to fruit, soups, boiled meat, and vegetables. I eventually reached a point where I could barely lift my chin from my plate because I lacked the strength; I actually required hospitalization.
To eat healthily: eat everything. Aim for three regular meals a day supplemented by snacks like yogurt, cereal, and fruit, or perhaps some bread with a light spread. Drink plenty of fluids and unsweetened teas, exercise three times a week, and you will be fine.
Please wish me luck as I attempt to readjust to a normal diet. I am praying to Jesus that during my Monday hospital treatments, they don't decide to keep me overnight, because I am truly on the edge...
As I write this, I am enjoying some homemade prosciutto, dark rye bread, and a salad. And I have a delicious dessert waiting for me—my grandmother's homemade rolls! 🙂 Tomorrow, it's beef stew with gnocchi! Enjoy your food!!!!
Cheers to me!
