Hey there!
So, I’ve got a bit of a situation with my tattoo.
It’s on my back, right over my left shoulder blade, and I’ve had it for about two years now.
About half an hour ago, it started itching like crazy, so I reached back to touch it. The edges of the tattoo felt swollen—not the whole thing, just the outlines. Since it’s a butterfly design, the bottom edges of the wings feel puffy, but the top parts are totally normal. At first, I figured maybe a bra strap was just digging in and irritating the skin, so I adjusted it and tried to move on with my day.
I just touched it again a moment ago, and yeah, it’s still doing that. Honestly, I'm pretty confused because the lines on this tattoo have always been perfectly smooth and haven't ever looked thick or raised before.
What could be going on here? Is it actually something to worry about, or am I just overthinking it? Has anyone else dealt with something like this?
