My advice would be to stop using Aquaphor. You might be having an allergic reaction to it, I guess. You should probably switch to a cream with a high zinc content instead; zinc tends to help quite a bit with rashes and skin irritation. You can find those kinds of creams at any drugstore.
I can't quite recall which specific cream I ended up with, but honestly, you probably won't go wrong just using Vaseline. You can pick that up pretty much anywhere, not just at a pharmacy, but in most grocery stores too.
