Aside from the general thread, I’ll probably set up a specific one for the national team, maybe include the EuroLeague, and possibly give the Golden State Warriors their own spot—I'm also thinking about opening a thread for the Premier League, though I honestly don't expect much interest there...

We could just bundle the EuroLeague, the Premier League, and the Cup all into one thread...

The national team and maybe the Premier League would be cool to open up—or should we keep those as optional topics?

Daniel Booth37 said:The way they organized this tournament and split up the host cities is actually pretty smart. The arenas are packed—and let me tell you, there used to be times during this competition where you could hear the squeak of sneakers because seats were empty. I have to admit, I’m impressed; even with these ticket prices, the stands aren't going to be empty.

If those other two groups were playing in New York City, tickets wouldn't be going for even $3k per game...

But the way it turned out now? It's perfect...

Bravo, Blackhawks! That was a killer play—honestly, you could've even flipped them the bird right then and there to really drive it home.

He put it perfectly, almost as if the universe itself had conspired against them. 😁

You know that feeling when FC Barcelona creates twenty clear chances, hits the woodwork multiple times, and the keeper makes nine miraculous stops? Those kinds of games really tend to happen when Valencia CF faces off against Real Madrid or Barca, and someone like Diego Alves just happens to be having the game of his life.

I remember watching Ajax-Den Haag maybe eleven or twelve years ago, and the memory still sticks with me; the goalkeeper made about twenty saves, Ajax hit the post two or three times, and they had several unbelievable misses, but sometimes, when things just aren't meant to go your way, you simply can't force it. 😁

Manu -everyone yesterday

If the ref hadn't called that penalty in the 94th minute, they never would have gotten it. One post, one breakaway, countless chances...

quietbison86 said:So, what—is Sagosen just going to keep standing up and hammering us every single time?

Look, I’m certainly not smart enough to pinpoint the absolute perfect defense against them, but...

Honestly, it might actually be better for us if Sagosen pushes the pace—he tends to have some terrible shooting nights and way too many turnovers every other game. If the majority of their scoring comes from the penalty line, we're in business.

I said it once and I'll say it again: shut down those lanes to Myrhol, slow the tempo down as much as possible, and we won't have anything to worry about regarding a win..

We haven't been this strong, and we haven't had an opportunity this big, in the last five years!!

Easy peasy.

We really need to run a 6-0 defense—just shut down those interior lanes completely—and if our guys actually step up and play at their level, this win is basically in the bag.
