Need advice on payday loans. in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Capital One isn't some scam; they just slap you with massive fees if you don't have a co-signer (for instance, on a $1667 loan, you end up paying back $3000, because those $1333 act as the premium you pay in lieu of collateral). That said, even they won't approve huge amounts right out of the gate—you actually have to build a relationship with them first before they'll grant you that kind of credit limit.

Most major banks offer smaller loans to contract workers, provided you've been with your current employer for at least six months to a year, depending on their specific internal policies.
I’m starting to get really annoyed by certain people and couples who insist on lecturing me about their own experiences with childbirth—specifically cases where the father was present. They love to drone on about how having their husband in the delivery room was the most beautiful experience imaginable and how everyone should strive for that exact same setup. ☕

It’s frustrating because my husband and I made a conscious decision together that he didn't need to be in the delivery room with me, and we are perfectly fine with that choice. It never occurred to me to lecture anyone else on how they should handle their own labor, yet I have several different couples repeatedly trying to push their views on me with comments like, "But it's so much better this way," "It creates such a special bond," or "Why wouldn't you want him there?" 🙂>

Honestly, I just wish people would leave us alone. 🙂
Laura Barnes42 said:There are endless variations on this whole "animals vs. babies" debate, and they’re always so grating. It honestly feels a bit like asking someone who is planning for their second child what’s going to happen to their first one.

Exactly! 👍There really is nothing more irritating than hearing, "Just wait until you have a kid; you won't even remember you had cats." 🙄Look, we aren't all programmed the same way. My cats have been my constant companions for seven years now... so I usually just shut that down by saying, "We already have two kids; this would be our third." ☕And let's be honest, real parents don't draw distinctions between their children.😁

There was quite a crowd of them gathered right by the registers, and I was just trying to zip through to pay for a few quick items when I ran into a bit of a situation. This woman, who looked to be about sixty, basically shut me down. She told me, "Don't be upset with me, I can't just let you go ahead; I left my two grandkids waiting outside, so I'm in a huge rush." Honestly, I was just standing there in total shock. It felt like one of those moments where, if a man had tried to cut in, someone would have stepped in to help him, but since it was a woman, everyone just stayed quiet. You'd think women would be a bit more empathetic toward one another, especially when you see a pregnant lady with a huge bump waiting her turn.

Oh, this happens in all sorts of ways... It reminds me of when I accidentally ended up in one of those priority lines once. There was an actual pregnant woman right in front of me, so I figured fine, I'll just wait my turn. Suddenly, this guy—maybe 40 years old, looking perfectly healthy from head to toe—pushes his way toward the pregnant woman and tries to assert himself, saying, "Excuse me, but I have priority!" She looks at him and asks, "I'm pregnant, what are you talking about?" And he just doubles down: "Well, I'm disabled, so I think I have more priority than you."🙂

Fortunately, the cashier saw the whole thing and told him to wait his turn. ☕But since he shoved his way past me anyway, I just gave him a long, cold look from head to toe and muttered, "Yeah, sure, 'disabled.' Right."🙂
