Whatever happens, whenever it happens, it’s always been this way,
what happened, happened, and what's gonna happen will happen anyway.

I'm dedicating this little ballad to the moderators over on those two subforums.

There wasn't even any option to delete my posts back when I was just dumping photos without saying a word. But anyway

What if things hadn't turned out this way?
Maybe they wouldn't have been like this, or maybe they would have been something else entirely.

So, with that bit of Krleža's consolation, I'm out of this thread.☕

Alright, I dug up this message sent to you on April 23, 2012, at 5:03 PM, titled "dfsfdsfdd." Here’s what it said:

Hey, I had posted some gorgeous photos of modern interiors with stunning kitchens, and then—poof—everything just vanished.🙂 Was this your doing, or did the system just crash? And if you actually deleted them, why the hell would you do that?😕

I never got a single reply to that one.

But this is the message that earned me 45 points over three months:

Mr. Jeffrey Garcia6, you are truly bizarre. I have absolutely no clue why you gave me a red card and docked 35 points. Honestly, I don't even think you're a true Washington, D.C. resident, because I've never met such an unpleasant local in my life—someone so completely intolerant. People from D.C. have always been pretty open and witty, but you're just stuck in your own little bubble of aesthetics and worldview, refusing to tolerate anything that doesn't fit your specific vision.☕

So, let the rest of you forum users decide what kind of story this is.

Jeffrey Garcia6 said:Look, you've already been told... give me some actual examples. I can't answer vague generalities like this.

I post photos of Italian kitchens and you guys just wipe them out. Then I try to ask for info via DM and get nothing back.

Jeffrey Garcia6, here's the thing: if I’m getting on your nerves, that's kind of becoming your problem. If someone irritates me, I just grab a chamomile tea and move on with my life.☕

Look, since you’re already here, Jeffrey Garcia6, I gotta know—what’s your take on your colleague over there? She’s acting like some kind of obsessed little bug, constantly buzzing about nothing but Swedish design.

Every single day, it's more photos of Swedish style. If anyone asks for even a tiny suggestion for a kitchen, she just pushes Swedish stuff. She posts nothing but those minimalist Swedish houses, over and over.

No, I don't think our friend explained themselves very well. You guys are looking at this all wrong. It's totally unbalanced. I can't just go on and on about Italian design, yet the moderator gets a free pass to drone on about Swedish stuff. 🤷

It's not like we're at war with Italy or anything...

ambermason16, what you just said is pure fiction, and you're starting from the premise that I'm an American. Look, the real point was that you pro-dubbing people were just getting worked up because in your main thread, the logic was basically, "we don't have sync audio, so subtitles are THE Best." It felt very... I don't know, like that Neapolitan mentality for the city, where it's all about "our beautiful Naples, the greatest place on earth." You guys just couldn't handle the fact that your absurd arguments were being torn apart. You couldn't stomach the reality that deaf people can watch movies perfectly fine since everything is subtitled via closed captioning... so all your little anti-subtitle theories fell apart, and your final move was to just lock the thread. Once you ran out of actual arguments, you hit the lock button. ☕

Daniel Ward87 said:Look, I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea here, but if you could just give me a concrete example, I’d really appreciate it. I'll be honest—I'm a little lost on what we're actually talking about.

So, about that whole sync discussion... if you can even call it that anymore, since it’s basically dead and buried. 😳 Take, for instance, I’m the one who started this whole thread, just venting about how much I'm all for syncing everything up on the TV.

So, let's just say that's how the conversation went down.

I'll get back to you on that.

hollowpilot13 (responding to both posts)

And so on...

Why did I even bother responding? Because let’s be real—everyone’s going to jump in with some half-baked argument against dubbing, and if I don't step up, I'll just be sitting there stewing. It’s like, one person goes on about how deaf people are left out without subtitles, and then it’s perfectly reasonable for me to point out that over in Italy, they just use teletext for accessibility. Then someone else brings up that old cartoon "Navy" and claims it was dubbed with maybe four or five voices despite having a hundred characters on screen. So, naturally, I have to bring up that Italian dub where they actually used more actors for the secondary voices than the original Japanese version! In fact, in the Japanese original, the lead character actually switches between two different voice actresses, whereas in Italy, they stuck to just one, so the main character's voice stays consistent throughout the whole series. And so on, and so forth... it never ends.

So they told me I’m responding too much. Apparently, I can't just answer everyone. That’s the logic, right? If I actually have all the facts and arguments ready to dismantle every single one of their pathetic counterarguments, I’m still "wrong" because I talk too much. Unbelievable. On Forum HR, there’s this ridiculous limit on how many times you can chime in on a thread. It’s absolute nonsense.

If I’d only known this subforum existed from the jump... man, what a waste of time.☕

I think the issue goes way deeper than that. We’re talking about the fact that America isn't even a fully realized democracy yet, and honestly, you can see the cracks showing right here on this forum. You're over there telling me that 90% of people voted for subtitling... so what? What’s the point of a democracy if it isn't about every single person having the right to voice their opinion and have that perspective factored into how the country evolves? Even if I were the only American on the planet who thought sync was better, I should still have the right to put my view out there and debate it. To be blunt, I checked out of this forum a long time ago because we lack any semblance of basic democratic principles... though I'm sure the day will come when I'll get bored enough to stop participating entirely, since we clearly just don't have a mature democracy here.

Everything is just "trolling" to you people. Look, when I was talking about synchronization, I wasn't trolling. If some guy on this forum says something against sync and I’ve got a counterargument, I have every right to post it. That isn't trolling. In that thread, they basically told me, "You can't respond to everyone." Why?
If I have an argument for every single post, I should be allowed to voice it. Back in the Housing Authority thread, they weren't deleting stuff just because I stopped posting photos. And besides, the issue isn't how many posts were wiped out—it's the sheer unfairness of the deletions itself.

For months, people have been posting photos of Swedish design every single day without issue, but the second I post something featuring Italian design, everyone loses their minds. It's collective hysteria. It’s obvious the moderators have this totally unbalanced "point of view." They look at everything through their own narrow lens and can't wrap their heads around the fact that other people might think differently.

In the history subforum, a moderator actually nuked one of my posts just because my definition of national identity didn't align with theirs. Or maybe it was because someone lost their cool after I mentioned that Tesla held an American passport. That set them off, so they banned the post where I linked the scan of Tesla's passport.

Over in the Washington, D.C. subforum, the moderator is some local guy who even writes in a weird regional dialect, and he’s got that Neapolitan mentality for the city: to him, Washington, D.C. is absolutely perfect. Because of that, I can't say a single thing about Washington, D.C. without being expected to just praise it. The moment I criticize something about Washington, D.C., it becomes "proof" that I'm not a true Washington resident, even though I am.
It's because they act like people from Naples; to a Neapolitan, Naples is always beautiful, even when it's covered in trash...

It's the same story with the "trolling" accusation when I said there aren't any dividers at the registers in the Walmart over at the shopping mall. They call that trolling. But it's the truth, which is why the bans start flying. Any Washington resident could walk into that Walmart and see for themselves that those dividers don't exist at the checkout. 🙄

Yeah, they’ve started scrubbing posts over there. Honestly, the moderator should probably reach out to her buddy at that Swedish design firm... I mean, they’ve been obsessed with that whole Scandinavian aesthetic for months now. Personally? I can't stand it. It just doesn't click for me. There’s no point in overthinking it; it's just how it is. The moderators act like they own the damn sub-forum, deleting anything that doesn't fit their specific vibe. Apparently, if it isn't that sleek Swedish look, it's not allowed. Anything else is "undesirable," and if you push back, the moderator won't hesitate to slide into your DMs and basically tell you to take a hike. That’s exactly what they told me in the Washington, D.C. sub-forum.
Issues in the CBS and Housing Authority subforums in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, the bottom line is that the mods were all about subtitles and they just couldn't handle my arguments for dubbing. So, naturally, they started lobbying to delete and ban my posts. It’s the exact same nonsense that went down over at the Housing Authority...

The mods got all worked up because I actually like Italian-style houses, and that's when the banning started. But hey, if a mod wants to obsess over those Swedish minimalist wooden houses? That's totally fine. She’s got "mod rights" to ramble about her precious Swedish wood designs in every single thread, but the second I mention an Italian villa, it's a problem. Apparently, she has this deep-seated grudge against Italy, and it clearly gets under her skin.

If I were running the show, following the brilliant logic of our current leadership, I’d have to ban Jeffrey Garcia6 for trolling by claiming the skyscrapers in Zaprudje are gorgeous. If I say those buildings are eyesores, I'm "trolling." If he says they're beautiful, he's just stating facts. His opinion becomes the law of the land. Same deal with the female mod—she thinks Swedish houses are stunning, so that's gospel, while my taste for Italian architecture is considered trolling. That's just how this forum works. You either march in lockstep with the mods or you get the boot.

Long live anarchy.🙄

Man, back then I was so naive. I didn't even realize this subforum existed. Honestly, all the arguing was just over who gets to be a moderator.

One guy on the board writes this claim that people with hearing impairments can't follow movies at all.

Well, obviously, I had to jump in and correct that nonsense because subtitles are available via teletext. You just pull up the teletext and turn the subtitles on.

And that’s how the bickering started.☕

Now, apparently, I'm "talking too much" because I feel the need to actually provide counter-arguments. It’s pretty obvious the mods are just pushing their own agendas anyway.☕
Issues in the CBS and Housing Authority subforums in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Oh, right, I totally forgot. That whole thread about dubbing just completely vanished. They didn't just lock it down either; they scrubbed it entirely. Apparently, the moderator is obsessed with subtitles now and can't stand anyone actually talking about dubbing.
I mean, if I were running the show, I’d probably just delete everything related to subtitles since it gets under my skin. It feels like the mods here think everyone on this board has to share their exact same brain cell...

I'm writing this now because I didn't realize there was a specific subforum for venting, so here's my chance to finally unload everything that's been happening to me in those other sections. Let's start with the Housing Authority subforum.

Basically, a massive wave of hate formed against me in the main thread just because I voiced my opinion that New York City is an eyesore. Personally, I can't stand those gray, concrete monoliths. It’s just how I feel—everyone’s entitled to an opinion, right? Well, apparently not here. That opinion triggered instant hostility, and suddenly my posts were being labeled as "trolling." But get this: when the moderator Jeffrey Garcia6 claims those concrete high-rises in Zaprudje are actually "the best," nobody calls that trolling.

It makes me wonder: what's the actual metric for what counts as trolling? Telling me those towers are gorgeous is just as much trolling as me saying I hate them. Anyway, I started out in a thread about kitchen interiors, following every single rule to a T. I wasn't spamming photos, I wasn't uploading files larger than the limit—nothing. Yet, they started nuking my posts. Why? Probably because the kitchens featured were Italian, and since some people in that subforum developed this weird vendetta against Italy just because I mentioned liking Italian architecture, they decided to start deleting my stuff on a whim.

I even reached out to both moderators asking for an explanation, and not one of them bothered to reply. Honestly, what could they even say? They were just deleting my posts unfairly because they were getting annoyed by Italian kitchens, while they themselves are obsessed with those minimalist designs from Sweden.

Then there's the CBS subforum. The moderator there started banning my posts in a thread about dubbing, officially claiming that I was "responding too much." Yeah, you heard that right. A moderator basically told me I'm not allowed to respond to posts, even when I try to consolidate all my replies into one single message. It's like they've stripped away my right to actually participate in a conversation.

So, if some random user comes in and starts bashing dubbing, I can't defend my stance because I'm "responding too much." It makes presenting a counter-argument impossible.

Is this place running under some kind of regime now or what?☕

Look, it’s already done, nothing I can do now. Honestly? The experience was actually kind of great, so if things stay smooth, I'd probably go for round two. Once it went down, everything seemed fine, except now there's just this weird heavy sensation down south... hopefully it passes once everything clears out. It's not nausea or anything, just a bit of friction in the "pipe"... if that makes any sense. I don't even know how to put it.☕ My logic was pretty simple: if I can swallow it, I can get rid of it. It'll just show up in the toilet later, right? But hey, since I liked it, I might keep at it—provided I don't end up in the ER. Then there was this girl who wanted me to... well, let's just say I'll stop before this gets way too graphic for a public forum.☕

And what kind of fabric would you even eat? 😁 You’ve gotta give us the breakdown of the material here. 🤣

Goooooooood grief.... I honestly don't know if I can say this without getting banned or censored by the mods. But fine, since you're asking, I'll just come clean! Life is such a massive drag lately that my latest erotic little fantasy involves eating my partner's lingerie. 😁 Actually, I know there are companies out there selling literal edible lingerie specifically for people with my particular brand of crazy, but I just went ahead and tried it with the regular stuff. ☕
Super tasty, super thrilling... now I'm just sitting here wondering what actually happens to all that fabric once it's inside me.
Let's talk about insomnia in Health ·
I’m pretty sure what I swallowed was partially synthetic—like polyester or some other junk. Should I be monitoring my stool? Like, when am I actually going to see this thing pass through? ☕ I read somewhere that the typical digestion cycle takes about 32 hours. Does that mean I shouldn't even bother looking for that little scrap of fabric until at least 32 hours have gone by?
Let's talk about insomnia in Health ·
I’m starting this thread because I need some answers. Can a human actually digest fabric? Like, if someone accidentally swallowed a piece of cloth, how long would it take to pass through the system? What kind of materials are we talking about here—what can the body handle and what's a total no-go? And if it just won't break down, is there any chance it'll just come out the other end normally?
Balance of Trade in Economy ·
In a way, that was the whole point of this thread anyway—trying to build some kind of collective consciousness for the good of the state.😁 I mean, look, even in climates much colder than California, people grow lemons and oranges in their gardens. Usually, they're just ornamental, or at least that’s how we view them here in Italy, so everyone wants an orange tree sitting pretty in a terracotta pot in their backyard. I’m not saying your average American is out there eating crates of oranges, but personally? One little tree would be plenty for me and my family. I could even start acting like a mobster😁 and dropping off baskets of oranges to my buddies. If everyone did that, we wouldn't be buying them at the store, which means fewer imports overall. It’s the same deal with seasonal produce. In Italy, women are constantly complaining about how expensive fruit and veggies have gotten, but nobody actually checks what's in season. They end up buying stuff out of season, and since everyone does it, prices just skyrocket. But wait, regarding those oranges—are they being picked by massive industrial machines? I always assumed it was still done by hand, you know, like a farmer wandering through the grove picking the ripe ones off the branches. Whether there are terraces involved or not, I honestly think we should be focusing on organic oranges. We shouldn't be messing around with all those chemical products anyway.
Balance of Trade in Economy ·
More, at least from what I gather, California is packed with underground rivers, so water shouldn't really be the issue. The real headache is the actual terrain. They ought to start building terraces like they used to back in the day—that way, you could actually make use of even the rockiest patches. Banderas, thanks for the link.😉
