Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
stormygardener8 said:That's called perianal thrombosis. I dealt with one at the end of my first month, and it hung around for about 35-40 days. The pain was mostly just during the first week or so, and I used some Procto Sinalar and Modolex cream. Since it was a pretty large clot, my doctor told me to just hang tight and let it resolve on its own—which is exactly what happened.

Nice. Hopefully mine plays out the same way.

Hey there. Noticed a painful bump near my rear end the other day, and man, sitting or walking was a total nightmare. I started using some Proktis m ointment, and within a couple of days, the pain vanished. The issue is, the bump is still hanging around. Should I go see a specialist anyway, or will this thing just clear up on its own? I called Lastric in Chicago today, but their first opening isn't until May, so I'm looking elsewhere. If you guys have any leads, let me know. Thanks. 🙂

So, who was he actually hanging out with in the furnace room?

Under the new regulations, the position of deputy chief has been officially abolished, but apparently, our friend here just invented a "special consultant" role to bypass the rules. I wonder, who do you suppose is actually looking into this?

This kind of thing is going to happen even in towns where people actually get stuff done. In places where a deputy is actually handling EU projects, they're going to feel the gap, which makes this whole new law pretty stupid. It shouldn't matter if there's a deputy or not—it should matter whether they're actually doing work.

If memory serves, there’s usually a four to six-day window between exposure and when symptoms actually kick in, though it can take even longer. Just because he tests negative today or tomorrow doesn't mean he won't start feeling sick or test positive the day after.

That's what I figured too, and my doctor said the same thing at the end. But honestly, he's living under the same roof as me and my mom—she's been symptomatic for almost two weeks now, and I've had them for a little less. If he hasn't caught it yet and keeps testing negative, good for him.
Quarantine Life in Coronavirus ·
I tested positive for COVID, and since I live with my parents, I obviously passed it to my mom. Because of me, they were stuck in isolation until December 2nd. But now that Mom’s caught it too, she reported her last contact with Dad this past Friday, so now he’s looking at a new isolation period through December 7th. He doesn't have any symptoms and is already losing his mind being stuck at home, so he wants to just go get tested on his own—he thinks if the result comes back negative, he's automatically good to go.

My question is: if he goes to get tested tomorrow and it comes back negative, does he still have to finish out that isolation until the 7th?

Anyone got recommendations for an MRI in Chicago? Looking to go private.
