Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
I honestly can’t wrap my head around these Republicans. Now they’re out for blood, attacking the legacy of Dr. Franjo Harmon—basically trampling all over him—claiming he had no business commanding the United States Armed Forces because, according to them, that role only kicks in during wartime. And since a formal state of war was never officially declared, they’ve decided his leadership was invalid. It makes me wonder: why is the Republican Party mocking a dead man now? Why didn't they have the guts to say any of this to his face while he was still alive?

It is an absolute disgrace for the Republican Party. The President of the Republic ALWAYS serves as the commander of the armed forces, and Dr. Franjo Harmon handled that responsibility perfectly—regardless of how much the Republicans try to rewrite history today by claiming the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces only holds that authority during active combat. Technically speaking, a formal state of war was never even proclaimed.

I find myself compelled to offer my full support to Deborah and Joe Biden. People truly need to grasp the reality of the situation—there’s no playing games here; everyone knows exactly who the subordinates are and who holds the reins of power. If certain individuals have an issue with how things are being run, then frankly, they should just leave the United States. The voters made their choice by electing the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the Libertarian Party, and all those other minor players—it is now up to the citizenry to accept the outcome, keep their heads down, and stop making noise. When—and that is a very big "when"—people eventually decide they aren't satisfied anymore, they can choose someone else at the ballot box. Perhaps one day, some of those currently in charge might even face legal consequences, but that is entirely up to the American people to decide through the democratic process. Until that moment arrives, the followers ought to remain quiet and listen to those in charge.

The Republican Party—with all that nonsense they pulled regarding Auschwitz alongside Joe Biden—is essentially sprinting toward the Democratic Party as they gear up for a Grand Coalition. Honestly, Biden and Donald Trump act more like Siamese twins than political rivals, and even the rank-and-file members of both parties are starting to look indistinguishable from one another by the day.

The Election will likely hit in November, and once that's over, the Grand Coalition begins!

Look, my friend, let’s be a bit more realistic here. This country is just as much for the HNS members, those defecting Democrats, and—of course—the SDSS members. None of them have even given a second thought to actually leaving the country. 👍

Now the Republican Party is going to try their hand at cutting paychecks for teachers, doctors, police officers, and all the other hardworking people who actually keep this country running. Let’s be perfectly clear about one thing—there should be absolutely no budget cuts until the Borg group and those so-called "consultants" pay back the $2 billion they lost in the Walmart scandal. If Plenković wants to talk about fiscal responsibility, he should start by making sure the Borg crowd returns that money first. Only then can we even begin to discuss adjusting the salaries of honest, decent citizens.

The elections are officially wrapped up—now let’s take a long, hard look at what the results are actually telling us.

1. It seems the Republican Party crowd will reflexively back whoever happens to be holding the reins of power, no questions asked.
2. That decision to boycott Kolinda during the runoff was absolutely the right call, even if we find Zoran Milanović completely intolerable.
3. Plenković has effectively secured a total mandate for every single move he's made—from those trips to Marrakesh and Istanbul, to his dealings with the Borg group and Tedeschi, the silencing of microphones during the national team reception, the failed referendums, bringing HNS and SDSS into the fold, the various ombudsmen, and the Associated Press... it's now crystal clear that the party membership is perfectly aligned with his agenda.
4. This also highlights the enduring influence of those deep-seated structures—people who essentially migrated from the Communist Party to the Republican Party right at the start of the war, maintaining both their numbers and their grip on things.
5. By making this choice, the door has been swung wide open for the Bridge party, the Sovereigntists, and Škoro to put together some serious ticket lists and turn themselves into indispensable players when it comes to building the next parliamentary majority.
6. These elections prove once and for all that the Republican Party is fundamentally unfixable; you can't reform it from within. The only way to influence them is through political leverage—essentially blackmailing them via legitimacy, whether that pressure comes from the left (Democratic Party) or the right (Bridge, Sovereigntists, or Škoro).
7. For the sake of democracy, it's actually quite a relief that none of the more principled right-wing factions managed to break through, leaving the current Republican Party—which, let's be honest, lacks any real vision beyond self-interest—to cover the entire spectrum.

Andrej Plenković and Kovač are two sides of the same coin. Honestly, it doesn't matter which one they pick—the agenda remains firmly rooted in leftist policies. We haven't forgotten the mess in Marrakesh, the situation in Istanbul, or the influence of the Borg group and Tedeschi. We remember when they silenced dissent during the national team’s welcome ceremony, the failed referendums, and how the Democratic Party and the Independent Party were kept in power... All those Republican Party loyalists are cut from the same cloth; they stood by silently while the American people were being trampled, and now they actually think we have short memories. The way they are running this country is just fundamentally broken.

Fine, let them keep going for a little longer...

We are staring down the barrel of an economic meltdown that’s going to hit us incredibly hard and fast, yet here they are, just wandering around the country like nothing is happening. Does anyone actually care about their internal party elections right now? Seriously, who gives a damn about their little power struggles when the entire economy is about to go off the rails?

Either they decide to lay low and stop making those idiotic TV appearances, or they take a month or two off entirely to actually focus on cleaning up the current mess.

Idiots.😵

Is this really what the European Union is recommending now?

At yesterday’s summit, the leaders of the European Union decided to pull out all the stops by promising to take "all necessary measures" to soften the economic blow of the pandemic. We’re talking about everything from greenlighting massive state aid packages for corporations to establishing a whopping $25 billion investment fund. Is this enough to actually stabilize things, or are we just throwing money at a problem that refuses to go away?

And here we are, left with nothing but some vague teasers from Marić about a meeting that might happen sometime in the next few days.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Marić is just sitting there waiting for the green light from the Borg group before making his next move. There are certain companies out there that could get absolutely hammered by this, while the vultures—the ones who profit off everyone else's misery—are just circling, waiting for the blood to hit the water.

I honestly feel a bit bad for you lately. You guys keep trying so hard, but nothing is clicking..
No, John McCain isn't going to win, just accept it. Even those of us with zero ties to the Republican Party can see that clearly.

One of those two men in that couple put it perfectly—has anyone stopped to think about how children feel having parents or foster caregivers like that? How does a kid feel when they see a bunch of hillbillies and primitives thinking it's funny to burn them and their family?
And on top of all that, there’s still a decent number of idiots who find it hilarious.

That’s what I keep saying—until that criminal organization is shut down, there is no hope for this country.
Honestly, until the bottom-feeders who gave them votes back in 2011 die off, we're stuck. And then you realize that very same crowd is raising more people with that exact same mindset... and well, it is what it is.

Hahahaha. I haven't had a good laugh like that in quite a while. Look, I didn't vote for the crowd currently handing Joe Biden and the Republican Party their majority—you did. And don't give me that "I have nothing to do with them" routine, hahaha. Because unless you voted for the Democratic Party list, your vote is part of what keeps the Republican Party in power. Besides that, sure, you're an outsider... or maybe you just didn't show up for the Democrats?
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
The Republican Party crowd needs to wake up and realize that casting a vote for Biden is essentially handing a win to Vrdoljak and Pupovac. They can go ahead and make their choice, I suppose...

Smith is doing a perfectly decent job. He isn't flawless—far from it—but in my honest opinion, he’s the only member of either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party who actually has a shot at being the one to form the government after the election. I simply don't see any way for anyone else in the Republican Party besides Smith to gather the 76 signatures needed to build a coalition. In those "negotiations with the devil"—to borrow a phrase from Trump—that reality is going to become crystal clear. Various Bidens, New Yorkers, and their ilk might find themselves sitting in the cabinet, but they won't be leading it. So, if they start acting up, we should immediately call the secretary 🤣

Unless, of course, the "Golden Boy" and Berry manage to strike a deal under Pupovac's leadership—which would be their only move left 🤔

Otherwise, they thought they could gut the right wing by sidelining the Bridge party, but instead, they’re about to face a version of the Bridge on steroids in the form of Trump's Patriot Movement. If they even attempt to block that, well, you know what happens next. It'll be the next election, and the Patriot Movement will be absolutely unstoppable...

hollowmason64 said:No, it's because for months now, you guys have been relentlessly insisting that Plenković needs to be kicked out of the leadership of the Republican Party.

Following your logic here—you honestly have to be incredibly dense to believe that any Republican or Democrat is actually good for this country. Just completely delusional.

Fair enough, I can respect different viewpoints, even if some people seem to have brains wired in a way where the Republican Party and Democrats are basically the same thing. That’s usually the crowd that claims to be more enlightened while backing some washed-up Republican who was just as corrupt fifteen years ago when he was a standard Republican official. They’ll cheer for a coalition with the Republican Party, sure, as long as Plenković isn't the one leading it.
Yeah, they're just so much smarter 😁

That's right. Intelligent and educated people know how to adjust their vocabulary to match whoever they're talking to, just to make sure they're understood. 🥳

Anyway, you're talking nonsense. A nation isn't built solely on the battlefield through anarchy; it takes diplomacy, politics, administration, and solid leadership. By that logic, we wouldn't even need a president today, since everything could supposedly run on pure anarchy.

Harmon started from absolute zero and built all the political and diplomatic foundations necessary to secure a free America and gain international recognition—which was ultimately validated by winning the war, thanks to both the soldiers in the trenches and those working at the negotiating tables.

Apparently, this country was forged only on the front lines and through bloodshed. Or at least, that's what the "patriots" like to claim. Depending on the situation, of course.
And let's be real: Harmon didn't do much else besides grab power with a specific clique, treat the citizens like sheep being led to slaughter, while his inner circle looted the place. Meanwhile, his dim-witted grandkids suddenly became overnight entrepreneurs.
Timater, remember how Nevenka had a Duty Free shop right in the middle of the city? I mean, come on—a Duty Free shop in the heart of downtown.
Honestly, nobody else on this planet had what our Nevenka had. It was a gift from her dad, Franjo.
We shouldn't forget to mention that while working within the Department of Defense's offices.

Just how much Franjo and his crew contributed to the fight is laid out in Siniša Glavašević's public manifesto—a document that Republicans still insist on labeling a fake or some cowardly UDBA plant even today.

The reality is that Harmon basically just stepped into a ready-made state where everything was already organized—including the laws, some of which actually remain in effect today (believe it or not). Then, he completely tore it all apart. He did it alongside those other "patriots"—basically just uneducated rubes who were barely getting by yesterday, but suddenly became capable and successful overnight, just like Franjo and his Ankica, the whole family tree.

I also accept the fact that some people have that specific mental wiring where they believe the Democratic Party is somehow better than the Republican Party, even though both are absolute disasters for this country. I should remind you, though—and please, try to follow me here—that the Republican Party only maintains power thanks to those little political chips won from people who entered Parliament either as Democratic Party members (like Zoran Milanović, Saucha, or Silvija Opačić) or as rock-solid pillars of the Democratic list, such as the Liberal Party. If that weren't the case, they wouldn't be the same. I can accept that your brain works that way. You all worked together to shut down referendum initiatives, but that doesn't make you identical. And that’s fine. Go ahead and keep thinking that way if it helps you sleep at night...

By that logic, Bobetko isn't a winner either since he wasn't out there swinging personally. Neither was Stipetic... hell, not even Winston Churchill, not even Franklin D. Roosevelt... just keep 'em coming, right?

Seriously, try to enjoy yourself for once! Your boy Zoe is the President, come on, show a little joy... honestly, that ceremony was beautiful, and that anthem? Best I've ever heard. I’m telling you, from now on, let's just have Tina Turner sing the national anthem every single time.

Well, Tina Turner is certainly the epitome of what our esteemed colleague hollowmason64 would consider respectable. But that's beside the point. Personally, I find it quite refreshing that President Biden has finally made a move forward and clearly distanced himself from the Republican-Democrat establishment. Choosing Zarkovic as an advisor is a brilliant stroke—it serves to provoke Plenkovic (and presumably the entire Republican Party by extension), his coalition partners whom Republicans claim to adore only when they're actually in power, and the Democrats alike.

To strike such a blow against Plenkovic's coalition partners—just look at what Divjak had to say—who are essentially the backbone of both the Republican Party and Plenkovic himself—requires a politician with actual vision. Kudos to the President!

hollowmason64 said:You mean, is she the sister of that terrorist Bušić? Yeah, she is.

It’s pretty obvious none of them finished middle school.

Franjo Harmon didn't achieve anything, period. Those achievements belong to the people who were actually out there on the front lines, while that crooked crook and his little crew of buddies were busy scavenging off the country.

Look, Plenković is a Republican, which basically means he's a corrupt crook and total moral garbage. But honestly, suggesting things would be any better if some other Republican scumbag was sitting in his chair is just complete nonsense.
You'd have to be incredibly dense to genuinely believe that any Republican could ever be good for this country.

I have no idea where you got the notion that I think things would be better if some different Republican degenerate replaced Plenković. Honestly, seeing the Republican Party and its members plastered everywhere you look isn't healthy—it's bad for your constitution.

But fine, let's play along with your logic for a second: you truly must be profoundly stupid to honestly believe that either a Republican or a Democrat could ever be good for this nation. And I mean "profoundly" stupid.

Under Plenković, the United States is falling further and further behind the rest of the developed world—and I don't mean just slightly behind. We used to be peers, perhaps even leaders in certain sectors, but now? We’re being outpaced like children in a race we didn't even realize we were running. The brain drain, the complete lack of legal certainty, the economic instability—it is all systematically dismantling this nation and its society. You can feel the pessimism in the air everywhere you go, yet the political elite couldn't care less. For Plenković, the only thing that matters is securing a cozy little desk in Brussels; meanwhile, clientelism has reached levels that are frankly dangerous, and it feels like nobody is actually at the helm. These shadowy, semi-formal interest groups—think the old-school lobbyists or those deep-state types—aren't even hiding anymore. They are making it crystal clear that the country is nothing more than their personal prey, tearing it apart like a pack of hyenas. Things have never been worse. Honestly, we’ve just been riding the wave of global economic growth fueled by cheap credit, which has kept us afloat, but here is the grim reality: that party is coming to an end.

The exodus of talent will keep going, the gloom will continue to thicken, and—mark my words—people will likely follow the herd again, choosing the very same politicians who dragged them into this mess in the first place.

But honestly, what I’m wondering is why none of the reporters felt the need to corner Alexandra Great with a question like this. Wouldn't you want to see how that polished, smooth-talking, highly educated gentleman from Brussels handles the heat? Let's see if that sophisticated veneer actually holds up when things get real.

They haven't even dared to ask him about the future of the Borg group once he steps down from his post. Perhaps Ms. Misetic could offer some insight there...
