Maybe this was actually a blessing in disguise... since he couldn't hang out on the forums, he had all that extra downtime to finally settle his accounts😂😂😂

Wait, what specifically is it looking for? Which form is triggering that prompt?

That’s why you’ve gotta keep them dependent. If they don't have any income, you can actually pay back what you owe the FBI.😁😁

Just kidding....

A taxpayer can claim personal exemptions for
dependent children or other family members if they
don't have any income—or if they do, it still
works up to a limit of 5 exemptions. Back in 2012,
the standard personal exemption was applied at
$600 for the first two months, then for the following
10 months, it was $733 per month, making the total amount EXTREMELY
high for 2012 at $3655. This threshold also applies
to federally designated disaster areas,
even though those specific taxpayers
get an increased personal exemption.

So, looking back at my own experience from about a year ago when I was wading through this exact same mess you guys are talking about... it’s pretty wild how inconsistent things can be. For one company, they insisted on seeing a Bank of America card via FINRA just because I had power of attorney. But then, for another company—even though they deal with the Federal Reserve (B2G)—they didn't need any of that! A simple power of attorney was plenty. And get this: both companies fall under the same Police Department jurisdiction and were handled by the very same officer... kind of interesting how that works, right?

. I also dropped off that specific tax exemption form... what's the next step in this process? When the USB token arrived, there wasn't any software CD included in the package.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just give Chase a call at their customer service line and let them walk you through it...

If we're talking about filing forms directly with the FBI, one certificate is all you need—everyone else just needs a power of attorney.

The extra cost per client only kicks in if you end up using Treasury Department services.

Aha, so that's the deal... one of my colleagues uses both the standard IRS portal and advanced accounting software, so she ends up paying an extra fee of $4.25...

Raymond Martinez10 said:If you bundle them under your own name, you're looking at $22 a month. But if they decide to go solo and pay individually, it jumps to $17 per person—that's $50 monthly.
So, do the math and see what makes sense 🙄

and there's a fee for every extra $4.25, right?

I’m still getting my bearings with the federal electronic filing system, and I have a quick question regarding the process. To submit forms to the IRS, should I be applying for a digital certificate under my own business name through a provider like DigiCert, or is it up to each of my individual clients to secure their own certificates? If it's the latter, how am I supposed to handle sending over their sales tax filings?😛😛

Yeah, just go ahead and grab a certificate for your business. Once you have that, your clients can just give you a Power of Attorney so you're cleared to file those forms with the IRS on their behalf.
