Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Hey guys, my period is late and I’m totally freaking out about being pregnant. My boyfriend and I usually use condoms, but we did have some unprotected skin-to-skin contact for a bit last month around day 26 of my cycle. Usually, my cycle is pretty predictable—it was 28 days back in December, then it started getting shorter, like 23 days last month. But now? It’s been 31 days. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Lately, things have been a little chaotic; I got a Hepatitis B vaccine in the last two weeks and even took a sleeping pill once, which isn't really my thing. I also went to see my OB-GYN and everything seemed fine there, though they gave me some vaginal cream that I didn't finish using. Another thing could be the crazy workouts I was doing back in April and May—I was training super hard and ended up losing 10 lbs, so my cycles were short then too (like 23 or 24 days). I've eased up on the gym and been eating more since then. Still, pregnancy is a possibility, maybe from some stray contact or just playing around too much without being careful... even if he hasn't actually finished inside me. I tested again on day 30 and it was negative, but since we had that unprotected moment on day 26, I'm just lost. Is this delay because of pregnancy, all the physical stress, or just because I've been constantly anxious about other stuff?
So, I’ve got this 50-year-old lady here with a WBC count of 17 and some nasty pain under the rib cage. An Abdominal Ultrasound showed fatty liver and maybe a kidney stone too. Honestly, I’m such a total panic attack waiting to happen—my mind immediately jumps to the absolute worst-case scenario. She’s seeing her doctor tomorrow, but if anyone has any insight, please help a girl out! 🙂

Ugh, you know that feeling? You grind for months, everyone’s giving you props, management keeps promising you that promotion... and then they totally screw you over. Some other guy gets the bump instead, even though he’s clearly not better than me—he just knows how to kiss up to the boss for an extra five bucks. I'm just not about that fake life. Honestly, I'm pretty bummed. Should I just jump ship to another department? Grrrr
