How to live with scars? in Psychology & Therapy ·
🤔 I’ve got a somewhat radical thought crossing my mind here. Since this clearly bothers you all so much, why not just undergo a total rebranding? 🙏 🙏 Just wrap yourselves up nicely and call it a day. Nobody will ever bother asking you anything again. Even wanderinggull46 could finally grab a burkini, head down to the pool, and actually enjoy the beach for once.
Just a suggestion. 🙂

Wow... truly profound stuff right there.🤣
Bravo, Einstein! Give this man a trophy.🙏

Right, because you're such an expert—given how much time you spend on this forum.🙄

1. No, they need to be reborn.🤣 (And I’m being dead serious—they need to turn a new leaf and start from scratch.)

2. If that’s not the answer, then we’re all pretty hopeless.🤣 😁

That applies to everyone. People either fail to find any purpose at all, or they spend their lives hunting for a higher meaning—and I don't mean money. Most of the time, it's not even about material things.
Is psychology actually a science? in Psychology ·
Drew Reed6 said:I can't help but feel like psychology often ends up dancing right on the edge of things that seem almost magical or even occult in nature.

Just because it *feels* that way to you doesn't make it a reality. Even if we concede that certain topics touch upon those fringes, it doesn't strip the field of its scientific status. Psychology is a science, plain and simple.
Don't let the clutter fool you. You see all sorts of nonsense being shoved under the "psychology" umbrella here simply because people don't know where else to put it. When they lack a proper category, they just dump everything into psychology or philosophy. It isn't necessarily wrong, but it certainly creates a mess.
