Hey everyone, I was wondering if there are any other people here who work in juvenile detention or residential youth facilities? I’ve been called in for an interview for a counselor position at one of these centers, and while I am fully qualified as a teacher, they seem to be prioritizing psychologists and social workers for the role. It’s quite a trek for me to travel all the way across the country for a job that I might not even land, though on the flip side, there aren't many applicants for the three open spots they're looking to fill. To be honest, the director really intimidated me during our initial talk; her questions were pretty intense, and now I’m second-guessing whether I’d actually be a good fit for this kind of environment. That's why I'm reaching out—I’d love to hear from anyone who has worked in a similar setting or is currently in the field. I've heard stories about people walking away from the job almost immediately after seeing how things actually run on the ground, so any insight or firsthand experience you could share would be incredibly helpful.
I’m actually quite curious about this myself—has anyone here gone through the process of getting an implant? I'm currently out in Cleveland and I can't get an appointment with my regular doctor (I'm actually based in Indianapolis), but I've developed these lymph nodes in my neck that feel like ping pong balls and my throat is hurting pretty badly. Does anyone know where I could go to see a doctor for an exam right away?🕺
Does anyone have recommendations for an oncologist at KBC Osijek? I haven't been able to find much helpful info online, other than some chatter about one of the department heads being involved with the Republican Party.
My mom was recently diagnosed with malignant breast cancer that has metastasized to her lymph nodes. We don't have the full pathology report yet—the hospital wouldn't release the complete file to us, so we have to wait until she sees the oncologist... but based on what I've gathered so far, things aren't looking great. We are definitely planning to seek second opinions from private specialists, but I know how vital it is to have a strong relationship with the oncologist at the main hospital too. If anyone here has had any experience there, whether positive or negative, please let me know.
