That dream that just won't end in Psychology ·
Lately, I’ve been having nothing but these dark, heavy dreams... and they always cut out right at the peak... I can't seem to get them to shift into any other color... like, say, a nice blue 😁

But seriously, jokes aside—yeah, this happens to me all the time... and honestly, the biggest relief was when I’d be falling and just *didn't* hit the ground, instead I’d just snap awake and go... phew... thank God it was just a dream 😁
Still, dreams are actually pretty fascinating to dig into; there’s so much psychological stuff you could pull from them.

(btw... back when I was younger, I used to have these dreams that would suddenly cut off, but then something else would take over... and the dreams were just so... incredibly 🤣 .. basically just total 😁 )
Do you truly accept yourself? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Apparently, someone couldn't handle what the author was putting down, so she got banned 🤔

Anyway, let me be crystal clear on this: I accept myself exactly as I am. I mean, I’m stuck with myself for the rest of my life—it's not like I can swap myself out for a newer model—so why would I waste my precious time being miserable? Besides, there is already way too much negativity and dissatisfaction swirling around us in the world today; honestly, I'm doing just fine... actually, scratch that, I'm pretty damn perfect 🙂

HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE - Michael Talbot

Look, I’m not going to sit here and claim that everyone needs to agree with everything this guy writes—that’s just not how the world works. But there is definitely some seriously relevant info in here about the reality we're living in. Some things are just incredibly hard to wrap your head around, especially when you experience them firsthand right in front of your own eyes, and this book touches on exactly that.
There’s a ton of fascinating stuff packed into these pages. Even if you already have a solid opinion on all this theory, reading this might just give you a whole new dimension to consider—maybe even broaden your horizons a bit more than you expected.

Overthinking everything in Psychology ·
Christian Johnson19 said:I’m stuck in a job I absolutely hate, but hey, who asked me? Every time I make a tiny mistake at work, I start spiraling. I’ll be sitting there overthinking everything—wondering if I’m getting fired, what my coworkers will say, what the boss thinks, or how much gossip is going to fly around the office. My role is super niche and high-demand, so honestly, they probably won't fire me anytime soon, but the anxiety is still real. It feels like everyone at the firm is just waiting for someone to slip up so they can have something to talk about. Even though I moved to a big city like NYC, I haven't really outgrown this habit of worrying about what people think. The truth is, I make these mistakes because I'm lazy and I just can't bring myself to care about this work. Sometimes I dream about starting something totally new, but that initial spark always dies out after a few weeks. Man, this is a whole spectrum of issues. I'm struggling to handle it all. Any advice? Thanks

Karen!

Honestly, having a steady job these days is almost like hitting the jackpot, especially given the current economic climate here in the States.
If I were you, I’d try to be grateful for the paycheck, and while you've got this gig, nobody is stopping you from looking for something else on the side that actually fits your personality better.
That said, please try not to let the laziness win—even if you despise the work—just so you don't end up out on the street searching for a new role that might be even worse than this one. You don't want to find yourself in a cycle where you're miserable again, wishing you had the job you're doing right now.

I don't know how old you are, but maybe instead of obsessing over work, you could pour more energy into life outside the office—hit the gym, pick up a hobby, whatever catches your interest. Maybe through a wider social circle, you'll stumble upon a career path that actually suits you.

We could go down a rabbit hole analyzing this all day, but that’s my quick take based on what you wrote.

The only other thing I'll mention regarding all that "what will they say" drama... if you just do your job properly, you have absolutely nothing to fear. Don't be part of those negative statistics about the American workforce being low-quality; be the bright spot instead. 😉
