Ever had one of those moments where you're deep in a dream, right at the peak of something massive, something actually significant... and then, just when everything is about to unfold, the alarm goes off or some other noise jerks you back to reality? Just leaves you hanging there... What were you dreaming about?

The absolute worst for me is when I'm dreaming about flirting with this incredibly hot woman, and just as things are heating up and we're about to get intimate... boom, the alarm hits. 🤦
Or when I dream I hit the jackpot and I'm sitting in a brand new Ford, just shaking with excitement because I'm finally about to floor it... then the alarm rings. 🤦
Seriously, damn that thing... it never seems to go off when I'm having one of those endless nightmares where I'm literally dreaming that I'm dreaming... that's when I actually need the wake-up call...🙂

Lotto numbers and my alarm clock!
The only thing I ever actually manage to remember is when my alarm goes off 🙂

It’s strange how often this keeps happening to me... there has to be some kind of explanation for it.

Last time this happened, I had this dream where I was standing right in front of a door, reaching for the handle, totally dying to see
what was on the other side, and then—bam—I’m wide awake.

Honestly, though? These random midnight jolts that kick me out of sleep are way more annoying than those cliffhanger dreams.

Lately, I’ve been having nothing but these dark, heavy dreams... and they always cut out right at the peak... I can't seem to get them to shift into any other color... like, say, a nice blue 😁

But seriously, jokes aside—yeah, this happens to me all the time... and honestly, the biggest relief was when I’d be falling and just *didn't* hit the ground, instead I’d just snap awake and go... phew... thank God it was just a dream 😁
Still, dreams are actually pretty fascinating to dig into; there’s so much psychological stuff you could pull from them.

(btw... back when I was younger, I used to have these dreams that would suddenly cut off, but then something else would take over... and the dreams were just so... incredibly 🤣 .. basically just total 😁 )

If my alarm fails me, I just end up "watching movies" until I suddenly realize it’s 2 PM and I honestly just don't have the energy anymore 🙂

And another thing, once I realize I'm actually dreaming 🙂 it really just comes down to what I'm gonna vibe with... fast cars, girls, cash, war, flying... or just a crazy mix of everything at once. But then I always wake up laughing my head off 😬 because the whole thing just gets way too ridiculous and hilarious 😁

What was I dreaming about... I honestly can't recall. I’ve always had a terrible time retaining dreams. I might catch a glimpse of one right when I wake up, or perhaps a fragment will surface later in the day, but beyond that? It just slips away...

It’s funny how it works, though... that alarm clock always seems to go off right when something important is about to happen in the dream. How does that even work?...

I had this one dream where I owned a cat that was laying square eggs. Just sitting there. And right when I went to crack one open, my alarm clock blares and snaps me back to reality! I don't think it was just some random coincidence, either... it felt intentional. Or maybe not. I don't know...

A few more for you:

1.I walk into the kitchen because my mom needs something from me. She hands me an item, I accidentally rip it, and she just stares at me with one eye squinted like some intense character in a noir film... So, naturally, I jump out the window.

2.Mom and I are lying in bed. Some noise wakes me up, so I crack the bedroom door open only to see a chair rolling across the floor all by itself. I slam the door shut and try to lock it, but the key snaps in the lock. Mom gives me that same look, and I just leap off the balcony...

3.I’m lying there when suddenly the guy from those old horror movies walks into my room wearing a mask. I scream and wake myself up. Honestly, back then, I didn't even have the nerve to look toward the door...

Happens to me all the time...
makes me wonder if my brain is just synced up to my iPhone alarm...
total coincidence or what... 😂

I suppose that interruption is actually the whole point. If the dream had just played out to the end, it probably would have lost its impact and felt pretty mundane...
Leaving things unfinished is what keeps the mystery alive...

It’s gotta end eventually—sometimes when things are getting really interesting and sometimes just when they're totally flat
plus, honestly, the rush can be so intense it actually jolts you wide awake, you know?

The craziest dream I’ll ever have—it was a total 😁

- I see a murder happening (the killer drops a rifle—looks like some old relic from the Civil War era)
- I grab the gun right next to the body, and out of nowhere, a cop shows up and immediately thinks I’m the shooter
- He starts spraying bullets at me. (*That's when I realize I'm dreaming*)
- Suddenly, an AK-47 just appears in my hands😁
- SWAT teams start rolling in on armored trucks (okay... maybe I played a little too much GTA)
- Then the ambulances arrive
- I end up driving the ambulance while everyone else is slamming into me from every direction😁 .... and then there's this "catapult" button inside the ambulance
- I get launched out on a scythe... which then turns into a jet-pack
- The military shows up with helicopters.
- My jet-pack morphs into a New York City fighter jet
- Here comes a squadron of F-22 Raptors
- The jet turns into a rocket
- And I'm shot straight out of orbit😁
- Planes are falling toward the ground
- The rocket slowly starts to "break apart"
- I'm just left floating in space, looking down at the United States from a massive distance...
- I just totally chill out and start falling
- But since I still know I'm dreaming, I just keep falling and falling... it never ends 😁 It was such a rush! Like being on a massive rollercoaster—because I knew I was falling through deep space and nothing could actually hurt me 😁 It lasted for ages... all I could see was "warp" speed everywhere around me 😁

I woke up because I had this sudden thought that I might slam into a "meteor," which in real life meant I was about to smack my head against my nightstand or something😁

That is almost exclusively the type of dream I have.😁

The other dreams I experience involve those moments where I am desperately trying to recall a specific phone number that I need at that exact second, yet if I actually manage to remember it, the phone simply won't work.😁

I honestly cannot decide which of these is more aggravating.

On a different note, I have had two particularly intense, visionary dreams. The first featured a sky ablaze with fire and blood, with nothing but the dark silhouette of a distant church visible against the horizon; there was no narrative, just the imagery. The second involved me climbing a circular stone tower rooted deep in frozen ground, looking out from the summit at a glowing, descending sun. According to Jung, that would likely represent the self (the sun) and an ascent, which made it a truly beautiful dream.🙂
