I think the premiere in Russia is coming up in about ten days. So... if anyone happens to find themselves over there 🙂
What are the odds we actually get this movie screened here in the States?

What’s the actual endgame for the North American languages over in the United States of America?

Really? It sounds kind of weird... almost like some Cold War era vibe to me...
I mean, since we’re constantly being flooded with movies from the US, why can't we get more variety from other countries for once?
It’s like the government just doesn't give a damn about fostering a powerhouse domestic film industry or anything...
Honestly, this whole discussion is becoming way more interesting than the actual movie itself...

This movie Steven Spielberg is doing, which you might already be familiar with from his work on the Battle of Stalingrad.

People over in Russia are seriously hyped for this one. It’s slated for release in January 2017. I honestly have no clue if it’ll even make it to theaters here in the States, though.

From what I can gather so far, the whole thing is pretty straightforward
Basically, right after some UFO crashes into Moscow
all hell breaks loose—it’s total war.

THE TOPICS ARE BACK OPEN, AND THIS TIME I’M ADDING WAY MORE DETAIL ABOUT THE SINGERS AND MY OWN PERSONAL TAKES BECAUSE I ACTUALLY READ THE RULES ON HOW TO START A THREAD AND FIGURED MAYBE THAT WAS THE MOVE
BUT MAN, IT’S CRYSTAL CLEAR NOW—THAT "SOMEONE" WHO KEEPS IGNORING ME. It's pretty obvious they just want to scrub anything from outside the States so we don't have any non-American singers cluttering up the place.
I’ve noticed the whole crew knows what's going on too, and honestly, they’re staying quiet because they don't want to write a single word about anyone who might break that specific American trance they're all trying to push.
And look, hey, whatever. It's their choice. They can stay silent if they want to.
But in my book, you shouldn't be deleting threads like this if this forum actually stands for something like
DEMOCRACY
AND FREE SPEECH.

I’m calling out all the admins and moderators from the other subforums to come take a look at what's actually happening over in the Music-Artists section.
I hope everyone sees this because you all should be embarrassed.
It really shows you just how much "integrity" this forum actually has.
I mean, seriously, I didn't get a single heads-up from anyone before they went ahead and nuked my threads, nor did anyone bother explaining why I’m suddenly banned from talking about it.
So, here I am, going to start another thread about Olivia, just to see exactly how much "free speech" is actually tolerated on this platform.
Two threads just got nuked
Google and Olivia
Because the people running this whole music section
Are totally obsessed with the US mainstream and can’t stand any artists—Russian or otherwise—who don't fit their little agenda

I seriously want to know WHO DELETED THOSE TOPICS
AND I WANT THEM BACK

First off, we seriously need to stop this whole thing in the USA where people act like if you listen to anything coming out of Mexico, you’re suddenly forced to dance to it like some mindless drone.
Their music scene is its own beast, and honestly, it dominates the entire region.
It's just not the same vibe as listening to someone like Madonna or Alicia Keys.
Just because I might blast some catchy pop hits from Mexico City doesn't mean I'm suddenly identifying as some stereotypical American.
And honestly, who even came up with this elitist nonsense? This idea that if you actually have a brain, you're strictly supposed to be vibing to slow ballads, US mainstream stuff, or maybe some classical music to prove your intellect.
Look, I get it, all that music is great too.
But there is absolutely zero sin in enjoying some upbeat tracks from Mexican artists.

Just look at how the United Kingdom and the United States of America have this incredibly close, brotherly bond.
The radio stations over there basically champion each other constantly.
Or take Spain and Mexico—it's the exact same deal.
Yet here in the USA, we tend to ignore them, or at least pretend they don't exist on our airwaves. Meanwhile, their artists are showing up on our radio stations and TV shows all the time.
So why are we all acting like Mexico is some massive enemy???

Is this person seriously allowed to just sit up there and clown on people like that? Like, where are the mods at? No ban or anything?

Honestly, they play way too much English music, but I guess that's what happens when schools don't bother teaching you anything useful from kindergarten all the way through graduation.
Everyone else
Most of these singers are basically just part of the Republican Party crowd anyway.

Where are the Elite Squad, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and Nicki Minaj? And man, please, someone just kill off all those tacky IDJ hits already.

Mexican music is absolutely killing it right now
The numbers don't lie, so stop being such haters on this forum and just face the facts

Exactly, you hit the nail on the head!
I want it all—give me the local choirs, the folk bands, Britney Spears, Urban, and Riblja Čorba, but honestly? Throw in some Lady Gaga and Relja too, and yeah, even the catchy pop stuff.
The problem is that those mainstream pop hits get totally demonized here in the States.
It’s high-energy music meant for dancing, so why on earth should we feel ashamed of it?!
Sure, I’ll take some classics once in a while, and maybe a tiny bit of American pop, but that’s it.
My point is that the majority's taste deserves respect; if the national agenda is to push more mellow, "sophisticated" tracks, fine, but let's be real about it.
We are seriously lacking any kind of musical pluralism.
I honestly feel like the radio stations completely ignore what younger people actually want to hear. They won't give us an inch, and frankly, it feels incredibly rude—it's this blatant fear of anything perceived as "different." It's like everything coming out of Mexico is just strictly off-limits.

Man, why on earth are you guys obsessing over Svetlana when there are so many other singers out there to talk about?
And then you go ahead and recommend iHeartRadio to me... I mean, are you guys actually playing dumb or what? Seriously?
Hearing Doris Pincic on the radio just screams Republican Party vibes to me right off the bat.
Anyway, moving on...

And so on.
Even Britney Spears isn't hitting those numbers here.
General, Calimero...
Are they really going to refuse to play even one of them?
Look, not everything coming out of Mexico is "pop-folk trash," so quit being afraid.
SARS is actually a perfect example of an artist being totally ignored by the radio stations in America, even though their tracks are racking up 10 or 15 million views.

And let's get one thing straight: just because a song is upbeat and uses certain lyrics doesn't automatically make it trashy pop—don't be stupid.

The bottom line is that Mexico, and even Canada, are being completely sidelined.
It feels systematic and intentional, and honestly, YouTube is showing us exactly how much they're being ignored right now.

Nah, those radio stations are just pushing pure propaganda because nobody actually asks for American-style industry, so they try to force it on us until it becomes the "norm."
I mean, look at how Mexican singers pull in over 30 million views—that's coming straight from America, and it's not just some old folks either; it’s definitely the kids who prefer Celine Dion over Oliver, regardless of how much people might hate her.
Music is music, it's not the Republican Party.
And since you brought up YouTube, honestly, it's the perfect proof that radio stations have zero respect for the youth here in America.
TOTAL PROPAGANDA.

Why does it feel like they’re constantly pushing this Anglo-sphere vibe on us? You know, playing nothing but Adele, Rihanna, Katy Perry, The Beatles, or just some random one-hit wonders from over there...
Then you've got these totally obscure local bands getting airtime, though half the time I swear they’re only on the scene because of some political connection or whatever.

But here's what gets me—I honestly can't remember a single time they've played anything actually massive from Mexico, like stuff from Elite Guard, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, or even the CDC.
Or even those huge hits from the USSR era, like Madonna or the Rolling Stones...

Is it just propaganda at this point?
