US withholding tax for authors (KDP, Amazon, etc.) in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Tyler Gonzalez6 said:Of course you can publish as an individual—regardless of how much you make.

Is anyone here currently employed by a company while also publishing on KDP as an individual? I'm wading through a 60-page tax document regarding royalties, and just when I think I finally get it, I realize I'm lost again... from what I've gathered, an author has to register with the IRS within 8 days of receiving their first payment. Can anyone confirm if that's right? Also, if you have experience with this, could you walk me through the process—what documents do I need to file with the IRS, and when do the tax payments actually happen? Truly grateful for any help. 🙂

Hi everyone, looking for some quick confirmation on this.
If I'm understanding the KDP publishing rules correctly, you don't actually need to set up an LLC or a business entity right away. You can just publish as an individual and report your Amazon earnings on your personal tax returns, unless your income hits a certain threshold—around $50,000, if I recall? Thanks.

My Visa Intel card from Zebra Technologies has a four-digit number right under the main card number, and it matches the first few digits of the card itself. Is that actually the CVV?

That feeling of falling in your sleep? in Psychology ·

Sure, there’s a scientific explanation for this, and it’s accurate. But does that mean we don't have souls? Does it mean the soul doesn't need to develop too?

If anyone knows what's actually going on with this phenomenon, I'd love an explanation!

Thanks

You can find an explanation for that in the book "Conversation with God," or just look it up online. Like someone else mentioned, it’s the soul returning to the body after astral traveling. That jerk is just the soul re-entering the physical frame. It's also explained that sleep serves this exact purpose—allowing the soul to detach because being tethered to a body is restrictive and exhausting for it. It isn't the soul's natural state. They say that's why infants sleep so much; the soul needs more time to adjust to the constraints of a body. As we get older, we don't need as much sleep because the soul handles the restriction a bit better.
Makes sense to me. Not sure about you all.🙂
