There's this series that started airing in the USA last year...
It stars Jason Lee playing, you guessed it, Earl. After he wins $100,000,000 in the lottery, he gets hit by a car. While recovering in the hospital, he catches a glimpse of karma while watching a talk show on TV—basically, "do good things and good things happen; do bad things and bad things follow." Armed with this new philosophy, he puts together a list of all the wrongs he's committed in his life and decides to fix them one by one, working with a modest $100,000 budget...
While it might not be laugh-out-loud hilarious (like the first season of Arrested Development), it’s definitely fun and easy to watch. I'd recommend the first season—which runs for 24 episodes—to anyone who enjoys quick, 20-minute sitcoms...
