It really depends on your specific goals—though, honestly, it's a bit of a moving target!—but generally speaking, how many calories should I be aiming for daily?

I can certainly run those numbers for you—just let me know what you need!

Just to give you some context—I'm [height], [weight], and [age]—plus my daily activity level is mostly [sedentary / moderately active / very active].

On another note—if you're looking to get results—do you want them right this second, or would you prefer a smoother, more manageable path? I’m guessing most people would opt for the easier route.

Thirdly—if you’re struggling to actually sit down and eat enough—you absolutely have to get a blender. It's a total game-changer; you can just whip up high-quality nutrition into a liquid form to hit those calorie goals without any hassle—plus, with a few little tricks, it can actually taste pretty great.

Since you're on the leaner side, I'd suggest skipping the heavy cardio—you know, all that endless running and stuff—and focusing more on strength training instead. Think dumbbells, barbell squats, kettlebells... that sort of thing. It's much easier to get going at a place like Gold's Gym because they actually have all the gear you need—plus, it's way harder to slack off there than it is at home! And trust me, the gym isn't nearly as intimidating as people make it out to be. There are plenty of spots around, they're always running promotions, and the staff is usually pretty young and helpful if you need a hand with the machines... So, why not give it a shot?

Don't be shy—honestly, I promise you that nobody is actually watching you. It’s funny how we all walk around thinking everyone has their eyes glued to us when we're at the gym or out in public, but truth be told, most people couldn't care less. They're far too preoccupied with their own lives—people are so incredibly busy these days that they barely have time to think about their own families, let alone some stranger passing through the gym.

So, just take the plunge and hit the gym—it’ll honestly help you out in every way, from your physical health to your headspace. You could always work out at home, but like Brian Kim5 said, getting to a real gym is going to be much faster and more effective for both your body and your mind. And trust me, nobody is watching you—unless you're intentionally dressed provocatively or you're the biggest guy in the room! Otherwise, just believe me when I say no one is analyzing or staring at you; just relax. 😉

If you're feeling particularly shy, though, you can always try Gold's Gym—if you're in a place like Chicago, they have locations open 24/7 where you can show up in the middle of the night and literally be the only soul there. 😬

Breakfast: Two slices of toast with flaxseed margarine and mortadella, plus a glass of milk.
Lunch: A hearty baked bean casserole, followed by two kiwis and a pear. 😁
Then, I went a little overboard with an entire chocolate bar, some chips, and a roll.
Dinner: Just some rice, and now I'm settling in with a cup of tea.

That definitely doesn't look like 3,000 calories to me.

If you have an Android, just download MyFitnessPal—it's actually pretty helpful to log everything you eat for a day; at the end, it gives you a full breakdown of your total calorie count.

Just try to be somewhat accurate with the portion sizes you enter!

Double-check how you set up that bootable drive—try plugging the USB in while you're still running Windows and see if it shows up by its actual name rather than just appearing as a CD

For instance, it shouldn't show up as "E: Sony" or something like that; it should actually reflect the Windows 10 installer you downloaded

It’s been years since I actually felt anything for a guy—you know, that feeling where you're actually fluttering or maybe even falling for someone? Like, I met this person and now they're all I can think about... it's constant.
I’ve been on meds for about ten years now. It started with panic attacks, then spiraled into a full disorder, and lately, it’s just been non-stop anxiety.
Since getting to know this person, my days have been brutal. Just pure fear—fear of everything that might happen and everything that might not. I can't sleep, I can't eat, and I find myself cranking up my dosage just to cope. I’m working out like a total maniac just to exhaust myself so I don't overthink things... I spend the whole day glued to my phone, totally unable to function. I know this isn't healthy, it's straight-up self-destruction. This is an obsession. Every time I get a text, it's like, "Okay, peace," followed immediately by me spinning back into this endless cycle of being lost. Day after day. I work, I read, I do *anything* just to stop from screaming.
I don't even know what I want from you guys. Comfort? Help? Advice? Maybe just finding someone who feels the exact same way? I don't know... I just have nobody else to tell.
And look, you already know I'm not walking away from this. I can't. It would absolutely wreck me if I cut ties or anything like that. No way. I just want to get through the day without feeling like I'm spiraling toward a physical breakdown.

Do you hit the gym or just stick to working out at home? I’m guessing you prefer the house—I personally head to the gym to get some social interaction—especially when hanging out with the guys. 🙂Just go out and make some new friends—honestly, you’ll find that all that anxiety and stress just melts away in no time at all.

Where am I at right now? Honestly, I don't even know if I've actually "moved forward." Sure, I've been crushing some great books, working out, keeping up with my vitamins, and my appetite is finally back. I've been getting my walks in and blasting music... but then there's the other side—still smoking way too many cigarettes, leaning on meds, and dealing with all this lingering fear and insecurity.
As for the relationship, it's just... dragging along. I don't even know what to call it or how to define it, but it's still there. We're communicating better and seeing each other here and there. But weirdly enough, now that things are actually improving, my anxiety is hitting harder. It's like back when I thought we were totally done, I felt this massive sense of relief—like the waiting and the constant torture were finally over, even though I was falling apart at the time.
You guys agree it's better to just vent everything out here rather than sending a text, right? 🙂

I honestly think it’s better to just sit down and talk face-to-face—skip the texts and the internet entirely. Even if the idea feels a little nerve-wracking right now—and I get that—just go for it. It’ll make things easier, believe me.
