ruggedcyclist74 said:Well, there you are. I've been waiting for you. My notes are finally sorted, the public filing is paid for, and everything has been officially submitted. 🙂

Man, I'm just waiting on full power of attorney from the clients so I can file everything online—save them the trip and the fee... honestly, the paperwork isn't even the hard part, usually takes me like two days max...

they didn't deserve it 😁
finalized the tax filings and everything today
tomorrow I'm just gonna coast into work until 2:00 PM—then it's back to the usual grind through Wednesday 👋

after that, I'll be diving straight into my notes 🙂

I gotta be honest with you 😁
I’m just gonna run my own numbers for myself—nothing else... 🙂

I haven't filed anything with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for two years now—and honestly, nobody's even come knocking yet...

Nah, you definitely can't do them through the IRS website 🙂 gotta head down to the local tax office just like always...

So, I sent over two IDs today with negative tax and surtax amounts—and yep, they went through just fine...

Since you're pulling transfers with a negative balance, maybe the system pulled that negative amount for the II.7 section—you know, the Income Tax and Surtax part—when that should really be sitting at zero...

My developer set up this tool so I can just export an XML file directly into the IRS portal
But whenever I try to upload it, I get hit with an error saying the form won't process—basically telling me to try again later...
I figured I’d just try doing it manually, since it's not exactly the first time my dev has messed something up... honestly, I couldn't even finish entering everything by hand before some guy from the IRS calls me up! He says they actually noticed the form was failing on their end and asked me to just email it over so they could figure out what's broken... seriously, those guys were lightning fast, gotta give 'em credit... now instead of playing detective with my programmer, I can just forward him the email from the IRS and let him deal with it...

I honestly have no clue what the issue is 😕—I filed ten different powers of attorney and they all cleared within two days at most...
maybe the guy over at the IRS just messed something up 🤷

Just hit those FARC links, plug in your SSN, sign it, and send—then the FARC info should pop up...
Works like that at least for me
Are you getting an error message or is it just doing nothing??

Raymond Garcia8 said:Still waiting on my USB drive, so I honestly have no clue how this all works... Do you upload stuff over the internet? Do you just copy the form over? Is it sending an XML document or a PDF? My accounting software doesn't export XML documents, which I read is required for e-filing. Is that XML thing absolutely necessary, or is there some other way to file or fill out these forms?

Basically, you just enter everything into the tax software you download from the IRS website... then you send the form through their specific program... if your accounting software can't spit out an XML, you can always just type it all in manually... plus, you can save your info so you don't have to re-type the business name, SSN, and stuff every single month... once you get that thumb drive and run the software, it'll all click...😉

Timothy Morgan38 said:I’ve decided. I am definitely not touching Regos again... maybe in a few years...

Wait, let me get this straight... once I hand over the physical power of attorney to the IRS, do I still have to jump onto the online portal and file that electronic authorization request for all those clients I just brought in paperwork for?

Nah, you don't need to deal with the portal... you can just start filing the forms right away...

So, if an audit ever pops up, what actually counts as proof that I filed my forms through the IRS portal? Is it just that instant receipt you get right after hitting submit, or do I have to wait until they actually process everything... do you guys usually print out those submission confirmations or nah? 😕

Still waiting on that USB drive to show up in the mail, which is taking forever. Just gathering some intel now so when it finally arrives, I can act like a total pro and start tinkering immediately...😁

I've only been using it for about 20 days myself...
it's got its ups and downs...
I filed my tax forms back in September and got the receipt saying they were received, but it tells you to check later to see if they actually cleared... so I went back on October 17th to check, and nothing—nothing at all (even though I filed on the 30th)—🙂 I called my agent at the IRS, and she's basically like, "Oh, you forgot to check a box." 🤣 so yeah, it really just comes down to which clerk you get... plus, I just finished my sales tax filings and it says "processed," but when I look at my account, there's still no balance updated🤷
it's cool that everything gets done way faster and the software is super easy to navigate (at least for me)... man, if the developers could just let us import our forms directly instead of having to type everything in manually, that would be a total game changer...

Man, I just tried it yesterday and yeah... it won't budge past 2010...
