To get everything activated, I was prompted to upload a photo of my driver's license.
I went ahead and did that—just snapped a quick photo through the app.
After that, I had to verify a six-digit code via the video verification tool.
So, now I am just sitting tight, waiting for my identity to be confirmed.

In other words, I'm just waiting for the card to finally go live.

I picked up a PayPal card at a local convenience store today.
After setting up the app and logging in, I hit a bit of a snag.
I didn't upload a photo of my ID...
And honestly, I’m a little confused—why is that even necessary?

Anyway.
I have some cash on hand that I'd like to load onto the card.
But where do I actually go to do that?
On top of that, the app is asking me to "activate" the card.
What does that actually entail?

I'm looking to pick up a PayPal card at a local convenience store.
I plan on loading it with 300 bucks.

What happens if—heaven forbid—I actually lose the card?

Jamie Mitchell2 said:To get money on the card, you gotta have the Cash App installed on your phone. THAT'S where you type in the amount you wanna load, then you just show the clerk at the shop your barcode from the app. She scans it, you hand over the cash—obviously.

What's the catch? Honestly, there isn't one when it comes to this basic loading process. Who knows what happens later? I'm pretty much a total newbie myself. But so far, everything's been fast and smooth as hell.

Alright...
The whole point is that you aren't carrying physical cash around; you're using a card instead...
For people who don't have a traditional credit card, this provides a solid alternative.

Does that card require a PIN?

So, I basically just pick up a card at a convenience store.
Then I load whatever amount of cash I want onto it.
Fine.
But how does the actual deposit process work?
And am I actually able to use this for my everyday expenses?

I'm curious about one thing...
Am I considered a cardholder rather than the actual owner?
What's the catch if there aren't any fees or hidden charges involved?

Isn't the fundamental concept behind an aircash card centered on online shopping?
The whole idea is that you load a specific amount onto the card—giving yourself peace of mind by ensuring no third party can misappropriate funds from your primary accounts...

Or am I perhaps misunderstanding the logic here—is it simply a matter of someone not having a traditional credit card, so they transfer funds from their bank account to this card just to use it wherever needed for the sake of technical simplicity?
